A sigh couldn't help but escape my mouth when I looked at dust; a few seconds ago, it was a hall with many things in it, and its all dust and few scrawny pieces of metal.

What was I thinking? that I would enter the room and will find filled with treasure.

I shake my head off those thoughts and collect the pieces of metals that are in good quality. These pieces have survived the ravage of time and Cosmic Energy; they are precious.

Seeing there is nothing of value in the hall, I moved toward the next room, which looked like a bedroom. It has beds and other things that a bedroom should have, and as the hall, when I touched the items inside it, I saw them crumpled.

Not a single thing survived the touch; after picking whatever metal pieces caught my interest, I moved to the other room and done the same things.

I soon passed through the whole apartment and did not find anything worthwhile; everything I had touched had crumpled. Still, I did let disappointment drive down my mood and walked to the floor below.

This was a big building, at least twenty stories tall. Over time, some of it has been crumpled while some of it buries in the ground over time.

I carefully walked toward the floor below; this building may tough, but it is hanging on a delicate balance. The building is in a precarious stage, and the smallest mistake could make it crumble.

One member of the Hawthorn Sea who had explored this place before had a whole building fall on her when she was exploring the underground; she had barely survived the fall of the building, and it had taken nearly three weeks to dig out.

When I stamped on the floor earlier, I nearly had a heart attack. In my anger, I had forgotten entirely about the delicate balance these things are hanging on; I was lucky that building has not crumbled; otherwise, I don't know if I had survived if the stone mountain below had fallen on me.

This building does not seem to have an elevator system or anything that works on electricity. This building likely to work on magical formations that I have seen all over the apartment.

I reached the apartment below with the same design as above; the only difference is slightly different furniture.

I began to touch things about this apartment with hope in my eyes, but to my disappointment, I did not find anything worthwhile. I sighed, seeing that, and walked to the floor below.

I climbed down the Floor after Floor, hoping to find something but all the time, I found nothing but rubble. Anything I would touch would crumble to dusk, sometimes leaving some pieces of metal or some other thing.

As such, I climbed down ten floors within two hours, and now it is getting dangerouns. The deeper I go, the more dangerous it will become for me.

The chances of Crumbeling will increase, and so is me dying. Any sane person would have stopped by now, but I did not; the only precautionary thing I did that I started to fly, so my steps would not create any vibration.

10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, I walked down the floor after the floor without caring for the danger that is increasing every moment till I reach the 30th floor when I finally stopped to think on the 30th floor.

It had now become too dangerous even for me. However, I still want to go down, not because I am a daredevil who wants to take a risk, but because there are only for there are only four floors had remained.

I wanted to search them for treasure, even knowing I would likely not find anything there like the floors above.

I could sense the end of the floors now; I want to search the las four floors before returning.

With that thought, I moved to the 31st floor, which I found similar to the other floors. Searching it, I found nothing but its and bits of metal and other things.

'Three floors more.' I said disappointedly and moved toward the 32nd floor. I just finished this itch of searching all the floor before going up and trying some other building.

It is becoming quite later, at this time I usually have my dinner but I am searching for the empty apartments.

Hun!

When I reached the 32nd apartment, I found it is very different from others. Its size is the same, but other things are entirely different.

"Is the tenet of this running secrete restaurant or something?" I thought this whole apartment felt like one big kitchen, except one room that was likely kept as a bedroom; other rooms are transformed into a big kitchen.

The apartment is filled with all kinds of kitchen utensils and instruments. It even has hooks that profession chef used to hand the marinated monster.

If I had not looked at the instruments, which are pretty monster specific, I would have thought I had entered the layer of some cannibal. Only those bastards have such an elaborate setup.

I looked at it for a minute before I started touching things. I hope one or two pot or knife would survive the touch; I like the design of these utensils; they are a little different from what we use; I would love to have one of them in my collection, but today my luck is not good it seemed.

Except for the Counter, I had touched everything, and they all crumpled, leaving a small piece or two as always.

Floating up the corner, I touched the last remaining thing, the large kitchen counter.

THUD!

It started to crumble like all other things before it did; I thought there would be no problem when I heard the thud, a loud thud. A sound of something heavy hitting the floor.

I was horrified hearing the sound that for a moment, I stilled. I very much understand where I am and what effects that sound could bring; just as I listened to the loud noise, I looked around, seeing if there is shaking or sign of destabilization.

Seeing there is no change, I heaved a sigh of relief. If there had signs of collapse, I would be in quite danger.

Shake Shake Shake…

I had just heaved a sigh of relief when the shaking started; first, it was slow, but soon it got intense as dust and stone started to fell.

A look of intense horror appeared on my face as I looked shaking building knew it would collapse. It was already a miracle that it has stayed in such a condition for such a long time.

Seeing the collapse inevitable, the first thing I did was picked up the thing that made the sound. That thing must be inside the Counter when I touched it as all the things above have turned into dust.

I soon found that thing in the dust and was surprised to see it a tome, a big tome with a thickness of ten inches.

I stored the tome inside my storage without looking and took out the strongest abode that had already been activated inside my storage and went inside it.
