chapter-2473
Two months have passed since I have come from the harken ruin, and many changes have occurred in these two months.
The war had become even more intense; the Grimms were still steadily gaining ground on us. The Grand Commander was still resisting the calls for the big bang attack while providing the reinforcements from the reserve, which were steadily depleting.
Thankfully, the project is going to the satisfaction of the council, and till now, we have created thirty tyrants, and tomorrow is the end of the month; we will have another mass breakthroughs like we did at the end of every month since the beginning.
Speaking of breakthroughs, I still remember Elina's breakthrough; it was truly something. The phoenix source has left a huge mark on my heart; I wonder whether the phenomenon would be half as grand as when I made a breakthrough into the Grandmaster class.
"Director Zaar, all forty-two Emperors have made the successful breakthrough into the Tyrant class, and each and every one of them had reached the Elite class on the breakthrough," informed the Grandmaster Salvador while beaming with joy.If anybody heard what he said right now, they would be shocked. The number of Tyrant breakthroughs is not shocking; what is shocking is all of them had reached the Elite class on the breakthrough.
Less than 1% of Emperors would reach the Elite Tyrant class and above on the breakthrough. Only truly exceptional ones had the capability but the emperor project, or the little project as we called it, led by Grandmaster Salvador, had 99.1% of Tyrants reaching that stage on the breakthrough.
I would examine these Tyrants again, and those selected would get admitted into the Grandmaster project; the rate of admittance is 23.4%, almost a quarter which is great.
Currently, the majority of Tyrants I am getting are from the little project, though around 30% of them are still coming from the battlefield. I am still looking at every new emperor that breakthrough into the Tyrant class and admit them into a project if they are suitable for my method.
"It is all thanks to your hard work, Grandmaster," It all thanks to your efforts, Grandmaster, to which the old man shook his head.
"It wouldn't have been possible without your methods; those produce a really shocking result," the old man said while looking intensely as always, wanting to get a peek behind my methods.
"By the way, would you rein that little girl. If it were not for her, those who would be breaking into the Tyrant class would be double," the old man complained. He is talking about Grandmaster Sethi, who, like the Grandmaster project, is also evaluating the psychs of Emperors who are ready to make a breakthrough into the Tyrant class and, unlike the Grandmaster project, where I sometimes did not follow her suggestion, I always follow it in the little project.
After her breakthrough, she had become an even greater asset than I had thought she would be. Her scholarly knowledge has been ten times more effective with the power her soul bloodline grants her, not to mention now subjects did not run away from meeting the shrink.
Half of them even hit on her; I have even the love mails they have sent to her, and some of them really something. I would have definitely recommended them to pursue their poetic dreams if we were not fighting a war for our survival.
"You should not complain, Grandmaster; she is best to shrink we have, and we are lucky to have her," I said.
The old man did not mean anything by it; he was just complaining.
"By the way, Grandmaster, I am planning on creating a new project for the Kings. Do you have anyone in mind to lead it?" I asked, and the old man was shocked, so shocked that he shook in his place.
"Just what do you plan to create?" he asked in shock. "You have Tyrants, Emperors, and now you planning on Kings."
"The Pyramid is barely able to handle the expenditure of the two projects already, and now you are adding kings into them; just what is your goal, young man?" he asked; he rarely called me young man, it is Grandmaster or Directed, but when he does, it means he is serious.
I did not answer him immediately; the council had asked me this same question a few days when ago when I had placed the proposal in front of the council.
The Grandmaster project and the little project have already consumed tremendous resources, the treasuries are depleting at a visible pace, and when I add the things, it will break the Pyramids back, but despite that, the council had accepted my proposal, the same hour I proposed it.
"Ten thousand Grandmasters; I want to produce ten thousand Grandmasters and through them, hundred Grand Lords."
"I want this war to be our last. I want to do what Hawthorn had failed to do, exterminate these pests from our world," I said, repeating the same words I had said to the council, and like them, it shuddered when it heard it.
"You are crazy; even when we are at our peak, we were not able to have more than two thousand Grandmasters, and you are talking about creating the ten thousand, not to mention the absurd thing you said about Grand Lords," He barked angrily but very next second a toothy smile crackled across his face.
"It is crazy, even impossible, but still, I will help you with everything I have; these pests have plagued our world for too long; it is time that we exterminate these bastards to their last number," He said before his eyes turned serious again.
"As for your question, I do have a person in mind to recommend you," He said, and his expression faltered a little when he said it.
"Who is it?" I asked, feeling even more curious, seeing that faltering emotion appeared on his face for a split second.
"Marie Beethoven," he said, and I felt it familiar, having heard somewhere but did not remember where. "Who is sh" I asked but stopped midway when I remembered where I heard that name, and my eyes couldn't help but widen up.
"You are not talking about crazy Marie, are you?" I asked, truly hoping it was not that person he recommended but to my shock, he nodded.
