Hun!

"How long will this take," I said as I stood in the dark for more than an hour. Usually, the doors send you where you need to go, but very rarely, it makes you wait in the dark.

Some say it is one of the hidden tests of this place.

It had happened four times in the past two months, but I did not stay more than twenty minutes, and now it had been more than an hour, and I didn't know how long I would stay here.

I don't want to stay too long, especially not the eleven hours, which is the highest noted record of us humans.

Another hour had passed, and I was still in the darkness, but now, I was not staying uselessly waiting. I am in my core working; in front of me is a large runic formation, a part of my Inheritance, I am looking at it from every angle, so I can find a way to optimize it efficiently.

I feel like I could make it better without losing the efficiency, but till now, all the ideas were able to increase the power of it as I needed to, but that made it lose the efficiency it had.

These are small problems, and I am bugged with a few of them; I am hoping the place I want to go to would inspire me in a way that I would be able to solve them.

I have already collected half of the pieces and will be able to collect the other half in the next few weeks. The sooner I reach that place, the quicker I will be able to make the breakthrough.

If I did not find what I needed, I would still make a breakthrough. The Inheritance I had designed is great; I am confident that it will give me the power of the Grand Lord, especially now when I have been strengthened by the many boosts.

Another two hours passed, and I was still in the darkness, working on my Inheritance while my clone worked on something different.

Hun!

I was just complaining about it when I felt the change, and immediately, I found myself in a verdant clearing with a delicate silver birdcage floating in front of me

There is also a board which had the challenge details written on it.

'Catch the golden birds,' this is the name of the challenge; as its name says, I have to catch the golden birds which are flying around the forest; I have five days to catch them and will need at least five to pass the challenge, as for excelling, the number is not written.

Though it said the one with the highest birds would get the biggest distinctions, it means I have to catch the highest number of birds.

It is clear by the phrasing that I am not the only one in the challenge; there is a high chance many humans and Grimms would be present in the challenge, and I really hope they do; it has been more than a week since I had killed one.

This time, it will be even more fun as I did not see any restrictions on my power, which means I could use every move in my arsenal to catch these golden birds.

"You two come out," I said, and the next second, two came out, looking happy. It had been nearly ten days, a month in cores since they were out; it is no wonder they were happy.

A month ago, I was able to confirm that we could bring out the monsters out; I saw a few masters doing that brought out my own monsters, and despite their strangeness, I did not feel any restrictions on them, which is great.

"Help me find these golden birds and be discreet," I said to them, "Sure, father," replied Nero and turned into the blur; Ashlyn also chirped and flew into the sky while her body shrinker down to till she was a finger size.

Hun!

I took the bird cage in my hand, which was made of silver; it seemed like the work of a master; it was also surprisingly strong; I could not bend it even an inch despite using all my strength, and it could not be stored in storage.

Though it could be controlled with the energy, I used my invisible strings; this way, even those who were as strong as me wouldn't be able to snatch it from me.

I moved the cage behind and wore the mask; a second later, my features began to change.

A few minutes later, I walked into the forest with a long scimitar in my hand, searching for golden birds; I planned to finish collecting the birds as soon as possible. So, I could focus on the more important thing, hunting the Grimms.

A few minutes passed, and I did not see any sign of golden birds, forget golden birds; there was no sign of humans and Grimms.

I did not think I was alone here, the challenge had just begun, and this place was waster than I had thought. It might take a little longer to fight others; till then, I will focus on finding these required golden birds.

A few more minutes passed when suddenly Ashlyn chirped, and a vision appeared in front of me.

Hun!

'Is it really a golden bird?' I asked myself, but I did not wait and instead flew toward it. I am not completely sure it is the thing I need, but it is golden and is a bird; I am going to try to catch it and see if it is the thing I am looking for.

It took me around four minutes to reach where Ashlyn was and see the thing with my own eyes.

The golden bird is about big as my hand, but this bird is not alive but mechanical. It is completely metallic that I could even see its cogs and gears through the gaps.
