chapter-2828
"Interesting," I said, looking at the strange battle going on in front of me; there were two humans fighting against three Grimms.
One is surprisingly Silas Bishop, and the other is Lady Veronica, hazels mother, both of them fighting against the three Grimms. All three of them are powerful, but one caught my eye, Targ, a member of the coven, a very powerful Grimm.
Their battle had created quite a ruckus, but sensing the danger, no monster had tried to interfere with it; like me, they were watching.
I had arrived a few seconds ago; I had heard sounds of battle nearly half an hour ago, but dealing with monsters of my own. The powerful monsters begin to come out for the last day, especially now in the last few hours.
This is the third day; it is nearly finished. There are only around three hours until the challenge is over; it will be the hardest three hours, the powerful monsters will come, and mortal enemies will take the risk against each other.I watched and couldn't help but marvel at how these people were fighting, especially Bishop and Targ, which is peak-level fighting. Even though I hate the bastard, I have to admit Silas Bishop is powerful; even without energy, he is fighting like the master he is.
It should not be surprising to me, as the sky saber and blazing sphere are two Supremes who focused on the weapons skill the most.
Their members, especially those who are born and bred into an organization like Silas, had been trained with weapons since they could hold a sword and have amazing weapons skills.
His energy is no less amazing; Targ of Frost Bullman Tribe is one of the unique Grimms of the coven. It could be said to be most similar to one of the most hated members of the pyramid council, Raymond Leon of the wisdom tower; unlike him, it did not use shields, but a great sword that is much wider than the normal swords.
He is one of the oldest members in the coven and the one with the most powerful defenses below Grand Lord; it had even survived the attacks from our Grand Lords.
Now it is fighting against Silas, with no one getting an edge over others; totally different from Lady Veronica, who is suppressed under the two Grimms.
One of the Grimms is familiar; a High-Grandmaster named Habr from the Violet Viperman tribe. The other one is likely Master or Grandmaster, given the skills, it is showing and playing support on Habr's fight against Lady Veronica.I watched the battle as I slowly moved toward it; thanks to rain and these trees, my movements were completely concealed.
It is not a battle in which I could stay on the sidelines; it is a grand opportunity to hunt the powerful Grimm, and I will not let it go.
Though, it also does not mean I plan to join the battle immediately. It is a great opportunity that Grimms hadn't seen me, and I want to use it to land a crippling strike at the bastard at the right time.
I moved closer, and my target was the fight between Lady Veronica and Habr; while Targ is most dangerous and Silas is capable of fighting it, it is Lady Veronica who needs help, as she is fighting against the two Grimms.
Usually, such numbers do not stress us, we have the habit of fighting them, but here we have our power suppressed, which is a great advantage to Grimms, given their size.
A minute passed, and then another, but no great change had occurred in the fight other than it was getting harder for Lady Veronica to fight. The two Grimms are gaining a greater symmetry with each other, which is improving their teamwork rapidly.
If they kept improving and suppressing Lady Veronica in such a way, then she wouldn't be able to last against the Grimm for long.
Another two minutes had passed, and I have reached the spot, and now, I was just waiting for the right moment to attack. The moment had come a lot sooner than I had anticipated, just a few seconds after reaching the spot, and I took it without wasting even a moment.
As the unknown Tigerman took a step back to launch the better attack at Lady Veronica, it had appeared a few meters away from the tree I was on, presenting me with a perfect opportunity to launch an attack.
Rumble!
I jumped, and at the same time, the clouds rumbled and produced lighting which lit up the whole area bright as day for a moment, which was enough to Habr the Viperman see me from the corner of its eyes.
"Nrav, a human from the back!" warned Viperman loudly, and immediately, the Tigerman turned on instinct and saw me coming toward it, directly for its eye.
The Viperman seemed to realize what it had done and moved its lips to curse and wanted to come to the rescue but was immediately stopped by Lady Veronica; not that it would have done anything considering the distance, which it would have needed at least three seconds to catch.
The lightning had done a great favor; it had shown me to the Viperman, who warned the Tigerman, who turned toward me, giving me a straight route to its eye. It is just like when I fought against the Golden Fire Werewolf two days ago.
Puch!
My sword passed through its eyes without much resistance; it went completely inside that gooey substance with a vomiting smell coming out through the gaps.
Once again, I felt grateful to this cold cascading rain as it cleared the substance away, as I removed my sword and landed on its shoulder before jumping down, barely avoiding its hand, which had come to crush me.
"Bastard, I will kill you!" shouted the Tigerman and came at me with fury as blood and other thing spilled out.
I am quite surprised by its reaction, there was no scream of pain, nor it had used its hand to cover its eyes. It Gripped back its huge saber and came at me with fury.
The Grimm might not have the experience, but it has the will, and such enemies are most dangerous when you leave them alive. They might be weak now, but they grow powerful, especially through each setback they receive. So, it is better to kill such bastards before they fully let out their potential.
Bang!
I avoided its furious attack, which crashed on the log of wood I was standing on, and used the opportunity to leap toward its legs.
Immediately it lifted its right leg and moved to crush me and, at the same time, bring down an ax toward me. A test of great balance and skill; it should not have done that because it had slowed it down, and seeing that, I stopped holding back.
I instantly increased my speed, easily avoiding the food that was about fall on me; I could see the alarm in its good eyes as I moved toward its leg.
It had closed the ways it could save itself from lifting the leg, and now, I am going to exploit the hell out of this great opportunity it had given me.
