It is said, the Weir palace is huge, and there are many treasures here. Many of them had already found, but every time the ruin opened, they find new ones.

I will only get one chance at the weir palace, as next time, I walk into the gate. It will transfer me to a random place or a specific place if I have a token.

If nothing else, I will try to find a token. It will make travel easier.

I walked through the hallway, watching the broken doors and empty rooms. They have been stripped clean, that barely anything useful had been left in them.

Nothing is surprising about it. Millions of people have come here across the ages and looted this damn place. One needs to search pretty hard to get anything here.

This is why many people prefer to find a teleportation gate and get the hell away instead of wasting time here. I am planning to stay for a day. I am sure, by then, I will find something.

Even if I found nothing, I would at least find the teleportation gates. If I find the teleportation gates to one of the areas, I want to go to, then it would be more than enough for me.

Hun!

A few minutes passed when I stopped as I come across my first teleportation gate. It is a big black gate made of marble and above it, had text written in white marble letters.

"Halewane Mountain," I read.

The place is good, but not on my list, but if I found nothing, I will choose it.

Though, if I can find the token, I could use this gate to go to the desired place. All the gates are programmed to the destination, but having a token, you could override it and go to any place you want.

I looked at it for a moment before resuming walking.

Now that I had found the gate, I increased my pace. I am quite lucky to find one so close to where I had appeared in the maze-like palace. Others take hours, days, and even weeks to find one.

A little more than an hour passed, and I have found nothing but empty, looted rooted rooms and no teleportation gate.

I know I shouldn't be disappointed, considering I had at least found the teleportation, but I couldn't help it. I want to find some challenges that will push me to my limit and help me grow.

Hun!

A few more minutes have passed when I stopped. Amidst the broken rooms, I found one that is perfectly fine.

A smile couldn't help but appear on my face before my expression turned serious. These doors are extremely dangerous, there are very few doors that did not possess any dangers.

Click!

I took a deep breath and opened the door before going inside it.

As I entered inside, I found myself in a big hall. In a beautifully decorated hall, there are paintings of statues, but one thing had attracted my attention immediately.

Bones.

They clearly belong to the people and looking at the way died. It seemed horrible and painful. I was looking at the bones, thinking about what could have killed them, when I saw the possible answer.

I looked at the metallic Arachne coming toward me. It had the body of the spider while the humanoid was on top. The humanoid women held the five thick curved sabers, and they looked extremely sharp.

"Die!"

Said the statue in a strange metallic voice and attacked. Seeing the attack, my eyes couldn't help but widen.

Burst 30%

I directly activated the 30% of the power, while bringing out my great sword. I had planned to use the spear here, but this was not the fight where I could hold back. I need to be at my 100% to fight this thing.

Clang Clang!

Two of the sabers clashed against my sword, and my eyes widened as I took steps back. While the Arachne followed before attacking me, with an even more powerful attack.

Burst 50%.

I did not hold back and activated even power while moving my sword to defend against a very powerful attack.

Clang Clang!

The two sabers clashed against my shields again, and that exact movement. I moved, dodging the attack. One of its sabers was barely a hairbreadth away from my neck.

"The fuck!"

I cursed and looked at the golem, which had just stopped and now looking at me.

I do not think its power ran out as it stopped. It did not. I could feel its roaring power. It had more than enough energy to fight a thousand battles.

It is studying me, and I did the same.

I looked at the first serious challenge since I had come to this ruin. Earlier, the attack of a white fur man was dangerous enough to kill me. But it wouldn't have a chance if he had attacked me directly.

This golem could kill me, and that is making me excited.

It had stared at me for a six and half seconds before it moved, and I reacted instantly. I move my sword to the counter. Its death-dealing sabers.

Burst 60%.

CLANG CLANG CLANG

Three sabers clashed against my sword, and the third one came for my chest, but I move my chest left, before taking a step back.

It tried to follow, but I was prepared.

This maneuver was risky, but I needed to do it to test its limitations. I need to test them all before I mount my offensive on it.

I already know where I have to attack, to finish it off, but that is the easiest thing. As the golem is powerful and, from what I had observed, a skilled fighter. If I attack its core now, it would be like walking into a well-designed trap.

I think many people who had been killed here had tried it. It is too easy; it is literally flashing.

The one who designed it must be some sadistic bastard to keep the core in such an obvious place. That anyone would tempt to attack it.

CLANG CLANG CLANG

It attacks again and this time; it is much swifter and the technique it had used to be also different.

If I didn't have the experience, I wouldn't have been able to act so fast.

CLANG CLANG CLANG

While I reacted fast, the golem attacked again without waving for a moment. I defended, but once again, its saber had got too close to my comfort. I did not get even a moment to take a sigh of relief before it had attacked again.

Burst 70%.

I further harnessed the power from the burst, but even then, I felt the heavy shock as I clashed against it.

The golem is really strong, strong as the opponent I had been searching for.

So, I did not back down and tried to get out and instead, took a step forward and clashed my sword against its sabers.

Our weapons clash fast. The bastard is attacking at my every weakness and the thing that makes it frustrating and exciting is the changing of its fighting styles.

Every few seconds, it would change into a fighting style. I have never come across any opponent who could do that, even if I can't do something like this.

Slice!

More than a minute passed. When its saber cut through my armor and sliced through my cheek.

It had surprised me. Not the injury, but the smoothness through which it could cut my armor.

It is hard. Even people like a white-furred man wouldn't be able to cut my armor so smoothly as its blade did. They are sharp, but most importantly, when they touched my armor, faint energy coated the blade.

Which is what had cut my armor.

"Nice cut," I said with a grin and moved my sword to defend against another of its attacks.

CLANG CLANG Slice

Our blades danced and with it came an injury. The second injury was on the shoulder and the third one leg.

Till now, I have gotten seven injuries. They were no need and on the process of healing, but it had still scared me. As there are only a few inches of difference between superficial injuries and fatal one.

Burst 80%

More power poured into me as my opponent got stronger. I am matching it in power, but it keeps increasing in such a way, I won't be able to do it.

I need to finish it soon, because if I did not, then it will finish me and all it does, and that would be truly bad.

I don't want to become those skeletons lying on the floor. There are important things for me to do. Not to mention, if I were to die, I like to die in the hand of someone alive, not a dead thing, like this golem.

"Well, it seemed like. I do have to take a risk to finish you," I said and stepped forward, shedding the defensive style for the offensive.
