chapter-3255
"Fourteen hours," I said to myself as I looked at the very faint rays of the sun cracking through the clouds.
The day is eighteen hours long, and the night is fourteen hours. The whole day is much longer, but it is not that surprising, seeing the magic in ruin tends to mess things up.
It did not really matter to me, since I took the rest. I had slept for five hours, which took me back to my peak condition.
Now, I am ready to face the world again.
There is still that powerful energy present in the environment, but now, it had reduced enough, that I could move in it.Soon, I walked out of the hole and felt the full power of the energy. It was so cold that it felt lacerating. If it is not for me using the full defense of my armor and many of its abilities, I wouldn't have been able to block it.
I begin to move fast. There is a Grimm I want to kill, and I want to reach there before it could escape.
I got out as quickly as I could, but reaching there, before Grimm got out, would be a challenge. I am not fast as Nero and, unlike him, I couldn't move at full speed without getting discovered.
I need to be careful of monsters, who begin to come out of their holes as the energy begins to reduce.
'Hide father,' said Nero the second time since I came out and I did.
Coming out a few minutes later, when the sky had brightened a lot one could see it, without a problem.
In a few minutes, the remaining darkness would disappear, and I might lose a Grimm. Which would be bad.I do not mind losing the Grimm, what I mind it killing natives. It would happen if I didn't kill it.
It is because of me Nero didn't kill it and now, killing it is my responsibility.
An hour passed, and in that time, I hide from the three Monsters and one Grimm Sovereign. Thankfully, Nero had warned me on time, or it would have discovered me. Seeing it was coming straight in my direction.
I am close. It will take me around twenty minutes to reach it. Let's hope it will be there.
'It is not there,' I said as I spread my soul sense in a place it had been. I have been late, despite moving fast as I could.
'Father, I had left a market on it, and it seemed to be moving in the same direction we had planned to,' said Nero, as I was wallowing in my sadness.
'You are best, Nero,' I said to him and begin to follow Nero once more.
For twenty-five minutes, I moved unimpeded, before I had to hide again from the Grimm Sovereign.
Last night had told me there was a lot of in this ruin. Nero had found four Sovereign through the night and not a single local.
Seeing their numbers, I am now even more worried about our survival in this ruin. It is highly likely that we might get wiped out in this ruin unless someone finds an exit and brings a huge force from the organization.
Even then, the Grimms will have an edge.
Still, organizations will send a force; this ruin is extremely precious with resources being everywhere.
They do not need to send their own people. As long as they publish the info, thousands of Sovereigns from every corner of the territory will sign up to enter it.
This is a paradise for them, with its resources. They would not care it was Earth Sovereign class ruin and filled with Grimms. They would come here because here, they would be able to collect all resources they need in less than a week.
Very few ruins are like this.
Twelve minutes passed and when Nero had finally found. A Snow Werewolf, cloaked in stealth method.
A few minutes later, I reached closed enough that I could sense it and I wanted to attack immediately. I had been observing it for a few minutes through and saw it is a consulting map, over and over.
It is not looking at a map for general direction; one does not need to look at so many times.
So, I begin to follow it from a safe distance and the more time passed, the more I became sure. It had a specific place in mind.
Two hours passed, and it was still moving. Its speed is quite slow, as unlike me, he does not have Nero. Though he does have experience and is quite good at hiding from the monsters.
following it is a great chance to observe it, as it is using different abilities to hide and other things.
It is giving a great estimate of its strength and its limits. With this data, I will be a little more confident in fighting against it. This is a not weak enemy; it is even stronger than the ones I faced yesterday.
It made me excited.
When the following ends, I will fight the strong enemy. Killing such an enemy provides a different type of satisfaction.
Nearly an hour passed when it had stopped in front of the huge collapsed building. I have come across very few such buildings.
These buildings are not only high but also miles long. Now, they all collapse, and that could only imagine their glory, with their ruins.
It stayed in front of it for over five minutes, looking at the map and the building before finally moving. It moved over the building before removing the debris with its huge hands.
It is quite a dangerous thing to do on other runes; here, most of the formations have disappeared.
As long as one is careful, they would be fine.
Finally, over ten minutes later, he had removed enough debris that it could walk inside. Nero tracked him, so after three minutes, after it went inside, I followed it.
There is no problem for me. He had removed the debris, so its huge body could pass through and block the way when it entered inside. I slipped through the cracks and where I could not, I would gently remove the material.
Soon, I saw it appeared in front of a huge thick door, which is cracked in half.
It had to work around it for over twenty minutes before it slipped inside, while I just flew through it, with no problem.
The Grimms' huge bodies come with certain advantages, but smaller bodies also have their advantages.
The underground walkway was relatively intact, and Grimm begin to move fast through it. It also made me feel relieved as I have kind of become frustrated by its slow pace.
Half an hour passed, and we reached quite deep into the underground when finally, the Grimm entered a huge hall and stopped in front of the gate.
The gate looked like it was made of malachite; whole crystalline, with elaborate artwork of the humanoid race.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" said the Snow Werewolf, looking back directly in my direction. "Yes, it is," I replied as I came out with a smile on my face.
