"Thank you, healer Talis," said the Beastman and walked out of the room, but I laid back on my chair with tiredness.

It had been half a month since I had come to the camp and even now, there is no word of when we are going to for the gate.

However, more people are coming every day. Many are new, specifically sent from outside to deal with the threat of Grimms. All of them Earth Sovereigns; experienced with good stealth methods to breach the blockage.

Our people are also moving deeper into the blockade to harass them.

Since I am a healer, I am exempted from any duties in the camp. It also helps that I had produced three Sky Sovereigns within a week and there was no failure.

Not in Sky Sovereign or Earth Sovereign breakthroughs.

It is why there are a lot of people waiting in the waiting room with nine people making a breakthrough in my breakthrough formation. Unfortunately, there is not a single Peak Earth Sovereign, trying for Sky Sovereigns.

It is not like; they didn't come. They did, and a lot of them, but unfortunately, not a single one of them is ready.

The conditions for the Sky Sovereigns are much harder and only give ok to those who I truly think have a chance to make a breakthrough.

Though some still tried and ended up losing their lives.

Hun!

I was in my thoughts when I sensed the presence at the gate of my abode.

"Healer Tanis, are you free?" said the man at the door.

Click!

Seeing who it was, I immediately got up and appeared by the door, before opening it.

"Welcome to my humble abode Sky Sovereign Namio," I said to a grey-skinned man, with a red gem on his forehead.

He looked to be a teenager of fifteen or sixteen, but a man at least a century old and Peak Sky-Sovereign. He is one of the four leaders of the camp and a member of Tor.

"Namio will do, Healer Tanis," he said as he entered inside, and I led him to the living room.

"How can I help you, Sky Sovereign Namio?" I asked as we took a seat.

"You know, in the past two and a half weeks, we have lost seventeen Peak-Earth Sovereigns. All failed during their attempt to make a breakthrough into the Sky Sovereign," he said, surprising me.

I thought the number was around ten, but it was greater. This means those who failed to have a much higher number.

Death isn't the only result of failure.

"It is regrettable," I replied after a moment of silence.

"It is. This is why, we have decided, that anyone making a breakthrough into the Sky Sovereigns will have to get your permission. Without it, they are not allowed to make a breakthrough," he said, looking at me with his amber eyes.

"It is a heavy responsibility," I said after some time.

I didn't ask, why me? I know the answer to that well. I am the one who made three people reach Sky Sovereign and have also had a perfect record in all the breakthroughs.

I am their obvious choice. There is no one better than me.

"It is, but we are confident in your abilities. We cannot afford to lose any more talented Earth-Sovereigns," he said.

"I accept," I accepted with a sigh.

There is no choice, and it is not like I didn't want it. It is a tremendous opportunity for me to collect massive data and fusion energy.

"Aside from that; they will only be allowed to make a breakthrough in your breakthrough formations,"

"As you have said, it is the best in here," he said, dropping another bomb.

He left for a few minutes and a minute after that. The soul sense of Sky Sovereigns spread through the entire city. Informing them of this new development.

When I went to the market, I got quite many looks, and when I had returned. There was a line in front of my abode; as the waiting room had been filled.

A minute later, I got busy, and three and a half hours later; I got the first person ready for the Sky Sovereign breakthrough and he was not the only one.

I got another one.

The next morning, there were two new Sky Sovereigns in the city. It seemed to shock the whole city, as when the clinic opened, there was an even bigger line.

It seemed like nearly every Peak-Earth Sovereign had lined up in front of me.

That day, I found a whopping Seven Peak Sovereigns eligible for the breakthrough and they began it on the same day.

All succeeded, but there was no shock in the city because the city didn't know whether they had succeeded. Only four Sky Sovereigns of leadership and me knew about their success.

Even other Sky Sovereigns aren't aware of that.

For the next five days, not a single person had made a breakthrough in the Sky Sovereign had made a breakthrough. Because I tested all the Earth-Sovereigns, on the day of the announcement.

However, the condition didn't remain the same for long. On the fifth day, I found an eligible Earth Sovereign.

He was one of the new ones who had come to the city; every day, people were making the journey to the city, crossing the blockade that Grimms had set up.

From then, every few days, there will be someone making a breakthrough into the Sky Sovereign. If it is a lucky day, there would be two.

This realm is fructuous; many people have found encounters, that helped them tremendously.

I am one of them and I wish I could also make a breakthrough.

I am making steady progress, but I am far from making a breakthrough. Even if I reached the limit, I still wouldn't be ready to make a breakthrough, as I am still working on the inheritance.

It would take me months before I finished with it.
