3661 Abandoned Ruin

MOOOO!

I swung my sword toward the first bull; it seemed to sense the danger, but instead of retreating, it moved at me with the second bull.

I was surprised, but that turned into a smile.

Though my sword didn't change its trajectory, it kept moving toward the bull. As it was before, because it didn't matter whether they attacked or retreated, the result was going to be the same.

Puch!

My sword pierced through the skill of the first bull, while the second bull watched in shock.

Its little mind couldn't understand how it happened. A moment ago, the blade was halfway toward it, before suddenly it found in bulls eyes.

I didn't increase the speed. It moved as it was before; they weren't able to see through the little illusion I had cast.

The illusion may be a small one, but it was the best. The monsters could see through illusions better than people. If one wants to use the illusion against them, then it needs to be good and mine was.

The bull may not have understood how its brother had died, but it understood that it was no match for me and retreated at lightning speed.

Only to see me standing in front of it and my sword touching its skull.

Puch!

My sword pierced through it, killing the monster in a single strike. It didn't even feel the pain.

It is the least I could do for the interested battle they have given me.

I took the bodies of both of the bulls into my core and looked at the battle in front of me. It is near the end; the bull, seeing the end of its three brothers, had lost the will to fight and now just wants to run away.

However, the man is unwilling to let it happen and chases it.

I followed, but didn't help. It is clear the man wants to finish the monster himself, and I have no problem with letting him do that.

Though I am ready to intervene, if there is any danger, but unlikely to be. The area is sealed, not only by rubies, but also by his artifacts. They were not as good as my rubies, but they had prevented any monster from sensing the battle.

Pachack!

Finally, after some struggle, he was able to kill the bull by decapitation.

The man stores the body and drinks the potions before turning to me. There is gratefulness, but also caution.

"Thank you for saving me," said the man finally. "It would have some been a struggle, but you would have been able to finish the on your own," I replied, to which I smiled and turned to leave.

"Wait!" I said, and he turned back, with a lot more cautiousness.

"Yes?" he asked.

"I was wondering if you could provide me some information about this place," he said, and a frown appeared on his face.

"The medallion should have provided you with the information?" he asked back and an embarrassed smile appeared on my face.

"Our organization had detected the disturbance, and I had accepted the mission, but when I got there, I saw a person entering with the help of a black medallion and impulsively followed him inside," I replied, making him even more worried.

He is likely thinking I might steal his medallion, and it is a valid concern, but I have no interest in stealing his.

I am sure I would get more than enough chances to get a medallion if there were enough people here.

He looked at me for a couple of seconds before opening his mouth.

"This is the realm of Isbanalis. It is used to the training realm of the realm of senin, but was abandoned hundreds of thousands of years ago. Still, the gates appear and those who have the medallion were able to enter inside it," he informed.

"Does it have anything?" I asked, feeling disappointed, but to my surprise, he nodded excitedly.

"Many things." He replied and threw the crystal at me.

"Thank you," I replied.

He nodded and walked away, while I seeped my soul sense inside the crystal and was surprised. Detail information inside it, including a map.

However, there is a note that many places don't exist anymore. They degraded into nothingness; some still exist, but are filled with spatial rifts and other kinds of danger.

I have no plan to visit those places unless I need to.

I skimmed through the whole information, and it was clear that the medallion would be important. He specifically didn't mention it; it only means one thing. It is important and likely, the thing that I will require to get out.

I am not worried about getting it.

It is clear from the information that there are thousands of gates spread across the continent. Every few thousand years, the gates appeared, and many people entered these abandoned ruins.

Which also makes it very dangerous. He had clearly stated that cultists come here and do their rituals and sacrifices.

They are not the only dangers. Sometimes, good old Grimms also make an entry here. Till now, I had not sensed, but that doesn't mean they are not here; this realm is huge despite many parts degraded and I have been only for a few hours.

There are not many things that excited me about this place aside from one line at last stating that it used to be for the Prime's.

It changed the whole information.

Now, many things excited me, and my clone marked the places where I might receive the benefits.

I need more information; that man is a single person and though I don't want to believe it, there might be some lies in the information. It is better that I get it from a couple of sources and cross reference it what I have.

Though, I still decided to follow the path toward the things that interested me. I am sure I will meet a few people who will share some information with me, and some idiots want to loot me.

I am quite excited to meet them.
