chapter-3709
CLANNNG!
"You should have trained better. If you had, you wouldn't have such a problem in controlling your emotions," I said.
"Growl!"
I didn't get a reply, instead, I got a growl, which again surprised me. Without activating the beast mode, her emotions become so wild, that she couldn't even speak.
CLANNNG CLANNNG CLANNNGThis nature begins to appear in her attacks. They have become more ferocious and powerful.
Unlike her, I remained calm; I didn't let my emotions control me. I wanted to let go of all my inhibitions and fight madly, but that wouldn't be wise.
I am just fighting, but also keeping eyes on everything around me.
I could see the four Earth Sovereigns and one Sky Sovereign with my soul sense, and I was worried about them. I will be able to deal with the Earth Sovereigns fine, as long as they are not powerful cultists, but Sky Sovereigns above me.
If it came to me; I would have no choice but to hide and for that, I will have to end this battle as quickly as possible.
That would be a challenge.
She is not an enemy, I would be able to kill her in a single strike, without a whole lot of preparations. Our blades clashed harder every second, with her using more and more attacks, with wildness. In a few seconds, a smile appeared on my face, when I began to notice another aspect of the beast god's power.
I wasn't able to notice it last time.
They had kept it protected and once they activated the beast's mode; the protection became powerful.
Now, her losing control of her emotions without entering the beast, mode, has given me a unique opportunity to study these things, and I have focused all methods on it.
Seconds passed and turned into minutes, when suddenly, I got the opportunity, and I took it.
Rip!
My rapier avoided her and pierced through her armor and the tattoos, before slashing against her collarbone.
She was able to retreat before I could cause her considerable damage, but the wound had made her angry; more than she was before.
"Growl!"
She growled, and the tattoos around her blazed and began to move up, and soon, they formed the familiar beast form.
This time, I was able to see and record a lot more when she activated the beast mode. Though, I quickly controlled the excitement and moved toward her to attack.
I cannot give the phantom time to absorb those massive energies.
"Roar!"
She roared as I attacked and swung her rapier at me, with her rapier covered in tiny, but dense bolts of lightning with a layer of violet covering them at the edges.
CLANNNNNG
She stopped my attack, and my whole body shook, with a drop of blood coming out of the corner of my lips.
Her attack was akin to powerful a lightning mountain crashing into me. I was barely able to stop it, but now another is coming, and it is more powerful than the last one.
CLANNNNNG
It came, and my sword stopped it, but not before nearly taking a step back.
I am really glad, that my armor can deal with any kind of energies. Even the energies powerful as this one, because the energies coming with these attacks are far more powerful than the physical attacks.
There is a freaking lightning storm in my armor, but it is being torn apart and with a tiny part of it being absorbed by the seedling.
Roar!
She roared and attacked me again, and at that same time; the monster entered the boundary created by my pearls. The moment it stepped inside and sensed the energies; its energies became as big as saucers, and it ran away with its tail tucked between its legs.
That was no ordinary monster; it was a Peak Earth Sovereign monster and a powerful one at that.
It was scary and not necessary by our auras, but likely because of the power of the beast god. Monsters are scared shitless of it.
The woman kept attacking me, and I kept defending. At every attack of her, thousands of runes would move around my body and soon, her attacks stopped shaking me despite them getting powerful every second.
With that, I harnessed my power; I stopped holding back.
Of course, I had held back, not a lot, but a little, and now that the necessary adjustments have been made, it is time that I bring it all out.
CLANNNNNG CLANNNNNG CLANNNNNG
I attacked as I got the opportunity, and she defended, and I attacked again and again and again. Using more and more power, targeted her weaknesses.
She defended me, but that didn't stop me from my assault.
Rip!
After more than two minutes and hundreds of clashes, I had finally given her the wound. It was another small wound, this time on the shoulder, but it had made her mad and that is what I want.
"Roar!"
She roared madly, while I grinned and moved to attack again.
I am going to allow her to attack again. She had enough of them; it was my time now.
CLANNNNNG CLANNNNNG Rip!
She defended tens of my moves before I was able to get another chance. Giving her another wound in her stomach.
I didn't stop and continued with my furious attacks, which began to hit more consistently. Slowly painting her body red, though most of the injuries I have would be healed quickly.
I have never seen aside from powerful bloodline Grimms, healing from my injuries so quickly.
A minute passed, and then another. It was the thirty-sixth second of the third minute, when suddenly my sword increased its speed, and a bluish pink layer appeared on its blade.
The woman seemed to release the danger and massive energies poured into her as she moved her rapier to defend.
Her rapier reached mine and was about to clashed when its speed increased again. It was much, just slight, but enough to avoid her rapier.
It took a fraction of a second for me to reach her and a phantom blazed to protect, but unlike last time, I was prepared.
The phantom acts only in full defense when it senses life of the host in danger, like it is right now, but it won't succeed.
Pachac!
My sword cut through the phantom defenses and reached her body, before cutting throught it, without a shred of mercy in my heart.
...
Rustle!
Her body is separated into two pieces and begins to fall toward the ground, while at the same time, the seedling rustles as it absorbs the tattoos.
Like before, there was no change in the tree after absorbed it.
I collected the body before it fell down on the ground and cleaned the battlefield, as much as I could before walking toward the abode where she had placed those people.
I want to get away from here as soon as possible.
It is clear that it is a drop site. Her job is to bring the people here, while someone else will take them away.
I have a feeling that someone else is more powerful than I could defend against and would rather not stick around more, than I needed to.
Click!
It took me a while to break the lock of the abode. It was difficult, but the few artifacts, I have made the job a little easier, than I would have done without them.
"Nasty," I said as I stopped and took the step inside.
Outside there was nothing but inside, there was a freaking killing filled. It is not the powerful explosions here, but the poisons. All of them are dangerous enough to raise all the hair on my body.
It was a good thing; I have been careful.
I had learned this lessened a long ago; I always have investigative abilities active, whenever I stepped into the foreign abode.
Detected was the hardest, after I detected them. It took me a few minutes to walk through them, but I became more careful, and it was wise because it wasn't the only trap, she had placed in here.
As I passed through one trap, after another; I couldn't help but become impressed by her.
It took me a while to reach the doors.
I went to the first on the left but didn't open them immediately. Instead, I placed my hand above them and sent the wave.
"As expected," I thought.
There was a trap, and also the room was empty, so I moved to the next room while avoiding the other traps. Checking room after room, all of which have nasty traps on them.
It was on the fourth door; I had sensed the people inside.
Hun!
I began to disassemble the trap and was halfway there when suddenly, I froze.
Someone had come, someone very powerful. A Sky Sovereign and he is coming toward the abode with purposeful steps.
'Fuck!'
I cursed and moved toward the trap with force.
Click!
A second and a half later, I deactivated it and opened the door, before walking inside. I touched the trap and looked at bodies on the floor, before lying down.
Buzz Buzz Buzz!
A couple of formations lit up inside me and a faded grey color began to appear on me, like the rest of the people. It is a good thing; I had not removed the seed from them; I have all the information about what happened to them.
Click!
I had just finished with the change when the door of the room opened and a powerful soul sense spread into the room, scanning every nook and cranny.
I felt the soul sense covering me, like the rest of the bodies, seeping inside me.
It was a struggle as its soul sense of it scanned the fake body.
His soul sense isn't scanning my body. He is scanning a fake body, that is under my skin. Everything about it is real, that it is hard to tell the difference, but it is Sky Sovereign, I am talking about.
I had never gotten a chance to test it against them.
He looked for over twelve seconds before he had finally removed his soul sense. A frown appeared on his face as he looked blankly at the wall.
"What happened to you, Eknis?" he said, and I heard him coming closer.
I wish I could open my eyes or use my soul sense, but doing both is extremely risky. I have to stay as I am.
Hun!
I felt him stop and for a second, there was nothing, when suddenly, I felt something. Not from me, but from the seed; he had touched the beastman and now sending the energies in his body.
A few seconds later, he touched the human and the elf, before finally touching me and using the same method.
The fake body began to work, and it provided him with the same data, that the other three provided. Though I don't know whether it will work or not; it is one thing to use the soul sense and another to investigate with the touch.
If he had been an Earth Sovereign; then no matter, how many methods he would have used, there would have been no fear in my heart, but a Sky Sovereign is in a completely different league.
He is not a weak Sky Sovereign either, from what I could sense. He is a High-Sky Sovereign.
His fingers stayed on my body for six seconds, before they finally moved away, and a second later, he touched the human.
Soon, he finished with us all.
"It is useless worrying about her; taking the sacrifices to the depot is a priority," he said and the next second, I found method disc size of my palm sticking to my back; the same thing happened to the rest.
As it did, I found myself going up, before floating out of the room, with the rest.
Fuck fuck fuck…
I cursed my luck hard. I had been cautious and didn't make a mistake, but life still had sent a curveball at me, making me captive.
I hate the feeling, but there is nothing I could do. I am powerless against his Sky Sovereign. Even if I used everything I had; I would have less than a 10% chance of killing him.
I wouldn't be using that option unless I don't have any. It is a suicide option and things haven't become desperate enough to use it yet.
