"It is dangerous," said the red-tailed man. "It is, but what other choice do we have," said the woman beside him and moved.

The man hesitated and followed behind her.

I was snooping on them from the distance. Like, I was doing with several people as they entered the meres field. It is a rune of organization, filled with dangerous formations powerful enough to kill a Sky Sovereign in an instant.

Some trapped people for hours to days, and some turned them into mincemeat.

I have read enough about it to not pass through it, but it is also a shortcut toward the gate.

I could sense the Grimms, a lot of them trying to kill people entering inside, but the area was too big. They couldn't stop even half of the people, which made it even more desirable to the people.

I looked at the meres field and in my vision is blaring red. There is so much power there, that it could kill thousands of Sky Sovereigns.

Even a prime.

I looked at it for a few more seconds before tapping on the unconscious girl. She disappeared back into my core while I walked out of the hiding spot.

Thirty-five minutes and one Grimm later, I reached the merest field and entered inside, without stopping.

Immediately, I became careful and poured more forbidden power into my soul sense and soul waves. There are many formations here that react to soul sense, and I don't want them to reach my soul senses.

Such places aren't rare for me. Nearly every ruin has it. I have good experience in walking through them, but that doesn't mean, it would be smooth sailing.

A few minutes later, I took a sudden turn and changed the direction. There is a Grimm, not far away from me. I wasn't able to sense it due to dense interference, but now I did, I am moving away.

Natives aren't the only ones, who had entered here, but also the Grimms.

Speaking of Grimms, there was a crystalized body of one, not far away from me. It had attacked with raw energy, and instead of burning it; they had crystallized it.

Those crystals are quite powerful, and I would have loved to get my hands on them, but there are a couple of scary formations slithering over it and I rather not touch them.

I have a complete map of these places and it is the most detailed of a place like this. Those people really wanted to keep the tourists safe and, if their numbers were to be believed, extremely few died here.

Which is rare; in most ruins, the mortality rate is anywhere between 5% to 90%. With Grimms, there place is going to have about the same mortality rate.

An hour passed and I covered quite a distance, thanks to the information and my soul sense. My knowledge of runes also playing a big part.

A few more minutes passed, and I saw another native sitting in one of the formations and seeing how relaxed she was; it is clear, that she had intentionally placed herself there.

I saw many natives doing that. These formations are quite powerful, that even Grimms couldn't break. They have chosen the ones, that will keep them locked up for days, by then it might be over.

Or the whole damn rune might get destroyed, nothing could be said.

A few more minutes later, I took another sharp turn, this time because of the formation. It wasn't supposed to be here, but it had, and I had to change my route.

In a place like these, nothing is fixed, things are always changing.

Hun!

Suddenly, I stopped as the powerful soul sense hit me, and a moment later; I saw a Grimm coming out of the big formation wall of my left.

The Hyenaman grinned, at seeing me.

"It is a good place to hide, to hunt you natives. Don't you think?" it asked. I didn't reply and instead looked at the wall on the left, radiating massive power, which stopped my soul sense from seeing what it was around.

I have avoided things like these. It is why, I didn't take the left and took the right. Thank god for that.

If I had taken a left, I would need to pass by it, and it would have been able to kill me for an instant. The only reason, it had revealed itself before I took the right.

I kept looking at it without saying anything.

Six seconds passed, and when irritation flashed in its eyes and it moved, I moved at the same time.

In the six seconds, I wasn't just staring at it. I was mapping the routes, as far as I could, looking at things that could save me, making the place.

The distance between us isn't much, especially for a Sky Sovereign like it, but we are in a place, where even formation could vaporize us. Even Grimm is cautious here.

Still, it is also an undeniable fact that is Sky Sovereign, and it will catch me in less than ten seconds. There is no way, I could stop it unless I am willing to blast the bombs.

Though that would be the most idiotic thing to do. If the chain reactions occurred, it wouldn't be the only one to die.

I will die and so is the girl in my storage.

"Give up, native. There is no way, you can run away," said the Grimm. It had reached very close to me; it wouldn't take more than five seconds for it to have me.

'It seemed like, there is no choice," I thought and turned, before leaping at full power.

I could see the eyes of the Grimms widening before their expressions turned nasty. It increased its speed further to catch up to me and I blasted the formation apart for greater speed.

Thud!

The seconds felt like an hour before, but I finally landed on the place, I was aiming for.

Bang!

It reached me but clashed against the energy screen that appeared. "It will give you only nine and a half hours. After that, you will be mine," it said grinning.

The Grimm seemed to have read the information; I only have nine hours and thirty-three minutes in here before it opens, and Grimm has me as the snack.
