"Now, Captain!" I shouted and pulled the strings with everything I had.

The formation in the strings roared with power filling. The formation is manipulated to suppress its power, and I used its own processed energy into the energy mix for a better effect.

ROARRRRRRR!

The monster roared as it sensed the binding and powerful aura burst out of it. It is powerful, more than I had imagined.

It started to stress my strings immediately, filled them with such power, that I felt like, might melt my strings apart.

I turned to the captain and saw a pitch-black arrow appear in his bow, into which he was pouring all his energy. Seeing the arrow, I felt relief; it was really powerful; it might just be able to kill the monster.

Twang!

"Die!" the captain shouted and released the string.

Immediately, the arrow shot out of it and moved toward the monsters, whose eyes were as wide as the humans would.

Fear appeared in its eyes and its struggle was hard. Using such power, on my strings, that I thought it would break them.

I was preparing for the backlist, but to my surprise, my string bore more pressure. Both the physical and energy, despite going over what I had thought was their breaking limit.

The monster is moving to dodge the attack, but its speed is far less than it would have been without the binding of the strings.

The black arrow reached it almost instantly and pierced through its head.

"Ahhhhhhh…."

Monster roared mightily as the arrow pierced through it. It had tried to stop it, but its defenses were weakened by the strings. Through, even without them; the arrow was powerful enough to breach through it.

"This arrow is a gift from Prime. Once hit, no person or monster of Sky Sovereign and below could survive it," said Captain as the black light filled the monster.

All I could do was nod. I could feel the terrifying power of the arrow. It was burning the monster from the inside with that black fire.

I don't think, I could survive it if it hit me. With a shield, I would say, I wouldn't survive, but now, seeing how they are going beyond their limit, I am not that certain.

Dhub!

The fire burst out of its body and started to burn it from outside as it went from inside. Making it scream even more loudly.

Its screams are so loud, that it stops the entire battle, with monsters looking at their leader in the uncertainty.

Hun!

A second passed, and the fire had grown denser when suddenly something happened.

A bright red power burst out of it and started to suppress the black fire, while the monster looked at us with all the hate and I prepared myself for the attack, but it had retreated.

ROARRRRRRR!

The monster roared as it escaped and all the other monsters, which had stopped fighting, seemed to become crazy as they moved toward the people.

"Captain, it is injured. We have to kill it," I said and moved toward the monster, with the captain following with shocked eyes.

He is in deep shock. His most powerful attack, which he thought would work without a doubt, had failed to kill it.

He was right in his assessment, it is an attack that could kill any Sky Sovereign monster, but the thing is. It is not a Sky Sovereign monster; it is a Prime stage monster, which is suppressed by Sky Sovereign.

Someone was able to bring out power at its final moment and stop its impending death.

ROAR CRYYY RUUUU!

We had just moved when a couple of monsters came toward us. It is clear, they want to stop us from chasing their boss.

It surprised me. Monsters run when their boss runs, but here, they are fighting.

"Captain, cover me," I said and kept moving.

He wanted to say something but didn't and instead began shooting arrows covering me, while I chased the horde leader. I am not really chasing it; instead, it is pulling me with my strings.

Blop!

I entered the water and moved with it.

Some monsters tried to follow me, but Captain and others had blocked them.

Seconds passed and turned to a minute, and soon I was out of the range of everyone. Including those that are hiding their real soul range.

As I got out of the snooping eyes, I started pulling myself toward the monster. It noticed immediately and tried to shake me off, but it was not easy, I was getting closer to it every second and it couldn't do anything.

ROARRRRRRR!

It roared once again, but this time, no monster came to its aid, because no one had sensed it or heard it.

I had blocked it with my strings.

It is not the only thing; I am doing. I am also moving the strings of my shields to bind them even more tightly. It is dangerous, seeing as I am sacrificing my safety, but I need to do it.

I won't be able to deal with it without them.

I can't let this monster escape; there are still a few hours before we move out of the suppressive zone. It might come after us after it deals with the arrow and will kill us all.

There is no one, who could kill it and next time, it would be careful of my strings. I might not be able to bind it.

Finally, I reached the monster and pulled the second layer of strings. Slowing it down, suppressing its power further, which isn't much, considering the difference in our strength.

Still, this time, it helped. The slight suppression helped the monster fire gain its edge back.

Now it is fighting equally against the red energy that came out of the core.

I didn't stay standing and attacked.

Even in such agony, it had reacted, but I was able to slow its tentacle enough to avoid them and attack its head.

RIPPP

A ripping sound rang out as my sword tore through its skin, but they wouldn't be as deep as I had expected.

Usually, such attacks are more than enough to kill the energy energy apart, but here it is not.

I looked at the wound for a moment, which had started to heal, despite the struggle to happen in it.

A moment later, the shape of my sword changed. It transformed into a spear with a thin edge.

RIPPP RIPPP RIPPP

As the weapon took the step, I poured my power inside and began to attack it with everything I had.

The wound begins to get deeper and deeper, but the monster is resisting. Healing the injury and creating the blockages of energy, stopping my attacks from reaching its heart.

It had been a long while since I had faced a struggle like this.

Usually, as long as I reach the body of the monster, it is as good as dead, but I am not dealing with the common monster or the Sky Sovereign.

Seconds passed and there was barely any change in my attacks, but the change did happen. The red energy begins to suppress the black fire again and this time, it is whittling it fast.
