Chapter 3943 Smart Mist

Avros Fortress

Bam!

"First, they sent a spy at us and now they are demanding her back. It is too much!" cursed the half loudly, hitting the table hard.

"What we could do, other than comply?" asked the woman crystal skin.

There is a smile on her face, but her eyes are serious. With blazing anger hidden behind them. Which she is having a hard time controlling.

Every spire is angry, but they are also helpless to do anything against it.

"We had to comply, like we did about the realm. Two months ago," said the Beastman and sighed.

They had caught the spy from Belword, their ally. They would have given it back with some grumbling if Belword had just apologized.

Forget apologizing. They were rude and demanded their member back.

They didn't say anything about the consequences of us not doing that, or not even hinted at it. they didn't need to do such things, because they knew they would follow their directions.

They don't have any choice.

Nobody said anything for a few seconds before half-elf took a deep breath and turned to the handsome elf.

"How it is?" asked half-elf.

"Happy, so much, that it had reduced the timeline for the next impartation. It will be a month early," he replied, and everyone's faces lit up with joy.

They know, why it is happy.

It had found the perfect body it had been searching for decades. They had never expected to find it, but they did.

They should have acted on the plan a decade ago. If they had, they wouldn't have been in the condition, they are right now.

They would have had enough strength that Belword wouldn't have dared to disrespect them.

"You should have told us that, the moment the meeting started," said the crystal-skinned woman angrily.

Impartation is only for the spires and each impartation. Takes their strength to a higher level.

It happens yearly, and it was supposed to happen a month and a half later.

Now, it will be fifteen days later. It's the best news they heard in the past month; they need things like these to survive in these desperate times.

….

The mist continued to come inside me. Fill my constitution, before spreading into my body and soul.

It had been over five months since I had taken the mist. Two since I entered the inner circle, or second circle, as a few called it.

These two months have been intense, with the huge changes happening inside me.

There is nothing, I could do.

In the past two months, my movements were quite restricted. Not only me, but also of the others selected for mist.

We could go out of the organization, but our missions never were over three days long.

All these missions are also group missions.

They are being careful. I heard through, through one of the seeds, that they had caught a spy from Belword.

I informed the organization, two days ago when I got out.

I pushed those thoughts and looked at my meta-scan. The tiny changes that would occur every minute as the mist entered inside me.

Despite being powerless to do anything against it. I am keeping a very close eye on every change the mist brings and have learned a lot of things.

More than I had thought, I would when I had accepted the mission.

My knowledge about the constitution had increased further. That knowledge I had used in inheritance to better harness the power of the constitution.

The new inheritance, I am working on will be even better at harnessing the power of it.

Hun!

Another minute passed, and I had caught the change. I had been looking for.

The mist had become smarter in the past month. It is using my methods to spread further; it is not resisting their effects, but piggybacking on them.

Through this, it is bringing a greater change, without invoking greater resistance from my methods.

This means the limit, I was able to predict based on the data, extended.

I thought three months would be the limit before I would need to stop practicing the talaras, but now it has extended to six months at least.

The mist is getting smarter with each session, and it is scaring the hell out of me.

I want to finish the mission as soon as possible and begin taking the risk.

In just the last fifteen days, I had doubled the number of the seeds.

At first, the seeded were forty-two, but now, they are nighty-six. The seeds inside them are also better, with a powerful formation that decreases their stealth slightly.

I have to take the risks and get the proof to bring the Primes here.

Other than that, I could simply escape.

I have enough confidence in my abilities. That once we are out of the organization. I will be able to leave it; they won't be able to find me.

I have seen the abilities of people. Especially those sent to track and hunt, they are not much.

It is the last option, which I wouldn't take unless I am really desperate.

I feel like, the leaders of the Avros are doing something terrible. If they are not stopped, the damage they will cause will truly be massive.

I am trying every day, using all my abilities and taking risks, but those people are good.

I haven't been able to find much; at least to my satisfaction, despite the heavy praise from the organization about the intelligence, I had gathered.

I looked at the changes the sneaky mist causing me. They are bad, but also good.

Each session increases my strength considerably.

The breakthrough had made me powerful, and now this mist was increasing my strength further, but despite that, whenever I see a spire, I do not feel confident.

This is quite strange, because my strength is high enough. Even in Tor, I don't there any Sky Sovereign, there contend against me, much less defeat me.

Still, every bit of my being tells me. I am no match for the spires.

Sigh!

I sighed and focused on the meta-scan.

A few more minutes passed, before, finally, the mist began to lessen, till it finally stopped.
