“Um, I almost forgot. Mrs. Su just called saying that Mr. and Grandpa Su really miss Pudding and Little Bean, and since tomorrow’s Saturday, they invited us there for dinner.”

“Sure, I got them presents and was going to send them over anyways.”

“Presents? What did you buy? Grandpa Su isn’t someone who cares about stuff like that, don’t give them anything expensive,” Huo Mian said, a little worried.

“Don’t worry, I know they’re rich, they’re just tokens of gratitude. Trust me, okay?”

Huo Mian nodded.

“Once things here at the company calm down, can we go to the States? My parents really want to see the twins.”

“We should’ve gone a long time ago… I know it’s not a good time for them to come to China since Huo Siqian might try to hurt him, so us going to the States is the best option.”

“Mhm.” Qin Chu gently caressed Huo Mian’s long hair, comforted by the fact that she understood everything he was thinking about.

“They should’ve met the twins a long time ago. How’s Dad’s health?”

“Not great… he’s been slowly recovering ever since the surgery and surviving off medication.”

Huo Mian frowned upon hearing this.

“Dad’s already made his peace, everyone will die one day…”

“I know, but I really hope he can stay with us for a little longer, and watch Pudding and Little Bean grow up,” Huo Mian slowly said.

Ever since Qin Chu came back, Huo Mian’s been sleeping like a baby. It had been years since she had enjoyed deep sleep, but now she could fall asleep in Qin Chu’s arms, every single night.

Her spirits have been unprecedentedly high as well…

Huo Mian greedily wished that she and Qin Chu could live like this forever; she never wanted to part with him, ever again.

11 years was such a great challenge for them – how many people were capable of going through so much but still choosing to stand by each other?

Everything about them was so hard-earned, so she treasured every single moment.

Qin Chu looked at the soundly-sleeping Huo Mian and lowered his head, gently pecking her on the forehead. “Goodnight, my baby.”

In his eyes, Huo Mian would forever be that girl from a decade ago – the arrogant, fearless genius.

Every time he saw Huo Mian and the twins, Qin Chu felt like everything he had been through was worth it.

Late into the night, he quietly stood up, dialing a number in the corridor.

“How’s the situation looking?”

“Everything’s well, there’s no situation.”

“Did you get the information?”

“I did, we can put our plan in place anytime.”

“I’m going to take my wife and children to the States in the near future, make sure you don’t expose yourself… My wife’s smart, don’t let her figure things out.”

“I’ll contact you when I get there, and we should stop calling for the time being. That’s all.”

After this secret phone call, Qin Chu hung up the phone; just now, he spoke so quietly, as if he didn’t want anyone else to know about it.

After hanging up, he turned around and went back into their bedroom; little did he realize that someone was downstairs at this hour.

Zhixin stood in the kitchen with a glass of water in his hand; his expression was a little off, and his hand was a little shaky.

“My brother-in-law seems a little weird ever since he came back… Why would he make a phone call behind my sister’s back? Plus, he doesn’t want her to find out… Could it possibly be that… He got himself a mistress while he was in the States?”

After that thought popped out in his head, even Zhixin was surprised by it.
