“Wait… all we can do is wait.” Qin Chu was also discouraged. He’d expected a call from the kidnappers within the first 12 hours… but…

Watching Huo Mian nearing her collapse broke Qin Chu’s heart. Although he was just as worried, he was a man and had to be strong for his family during a crisis like this.

“We can’t just wait. This is going to drive me insane.” Su Yu got up and paced around the office.

“What the hell is happening? The entire city is under surveillance and we still can’t find the kidnappers.” Wei Liao was in disbelief.

“Just goes to show how good they are at counter-surveillance,” Tang Chuan added.

“I still can’t believe that Huo Siqian had nothing to do with this. Even if he didn’t do it, he probably knows about it. He has so many eyes on the streets and he doesn’t know about this? It makes no sense. Although we’re searching for the kids in secret, there’s no way that he doesn’t know about it.” Wei Liao continued to analyze.

“God! I should go over and beat his ass.”

Hearing the mention of Huo Siqian, Su Yu shot up, his eyes glaring red.

“Su Yu, calm down.” Tang Chuan pulled back Su Yu.

“How am I supposed to calm down? We have no idea whether or not the kids are alive right now. How am I supposed to calm down?!” Su Yu roared.

Qin Chu looked up slowly. “Thank you, everyone, for helping us look for the twins. From now on, we’ll no longer need your help.”

“Qin Chu, what do you mean?” Su Yu was first taken aback by Qin Chu’s words but soon became enraged.

“What I mean is… I will find my daughters myself. I know that everyone has good intentions… but with so many people involved, not only are we not getting any leads, we’re alarming all the wrong people. That’s why the kidnappers are so careful, not even calling us. Maybe they’ll contact us once we quiet down a little bit.” With that, Qin Chu got up and left.

“Qin Chu, you bastard! Why can’t I help? Come back here!”

Su Yu jumped up in anger.

Qin Chu didn’t look back, however…

“Shit! You bastard!” Su Yu wanted to chase Qin Chu down but was held back by Tang Chuan and Wei Liao.

“Su Yu, Su Yu, calm down!”

“Let go of me! I’m not the crazy one here. Qin Chu is! What the hell is he thinking? Why shouldn’t we help?!”

Su Yu continued to shout, indignant.

After he went outside, Qin Chu took out his phone and called one of his men.

“Watch Huo Siqian carefully for me. Track every one of his phone calls and report them back to me.”

“Yes, President Qin.”

Qin Chu agreed with Wei Liao; he didn’t believe that Huo Siqian knew nothing about the kidnapping.

However, the man was sly as could be and he had to wait for the right chance.

After he hung up the phone, Jiang Xiaowei walked Huo Mian back from the washroom.

Huo Mian’s face was colorless…

“Mian… how are you feeling? Can you keep going?” Qin Chu walked over and embraced her.

Huo Mian shook her head, her voice so hoarse it’s almost incomprehensible. “Honey, I’m fine, we need to find the twins first.”

“You’ve been looking really sick recently. Why don’t I take you to the hospital?”

“No, I need to find Pudding and Little Bean,” Huo Mian insisted.

“Qin Chu, Mian is already…” Jiang Xiaowei wanted to tell Qin Chu about Huo Mian’s pregnancy…
