Chapter 359 Gifts
Opening her eyes in her own room, Shiro looked down at the item in front of her. After she had used it, the item itself had been reduced to dust. Not even a single scrap could be salvaged from it.
"Hmm.... I was hoping that it would leave something behind so that I can analyse it a little and see if I could reverse engineer it but meh, I’ll do it next time." Shiro shrugged.
{So was there any new information from this Yuki person?} Nimue asked.
’Hmm... somewhat. I do know that Kuromi’s killer was friends with her at one point. Yuki didn’t know what happened but it seems like they had a falling out which led to him killing Kuromi in such a thorough way that all her links were shattered.{Huh, isn’t that like... very similar to how you died?} Nimue raised an eyebrow.
’Now that you mention it, yeah. Hmm, why is that? There are so many consistencies between me and her. Could this be why I was reincarnated into her body? She did say that her soul was incomplete and I’m guessing that so is mine. With two and two together, we’re stuck in the same body despite not being able to communicate with each other.’ Shiro mused to herself.
{That’s very possible. So is there anything that you need to do here or are you going to japan now?} Nimue asked. After all, the only reason as to why Shiro had even chosen to come back was because she needed to contact Yuki. Now that she’s done that, there wasn’t much else for her to do unless it’s to do with the faction.
’Hmm not that I can think of. Give me a second, I’m gonna look through my memories and see if there’s anything happening.’
Closing her eyes, she started to browse through all the notes that she had set up.
’Hmm, previously, Natash did say that the city lord had an event during which orange equipment is being rewarded. When she mentioned that to me, she said that there was still 5 months left. It’s been roughly 3 months since I had last come here so there’s another 2 months left till the event. The Celestial Trial gate opens in 3 months so I can stay here till that event.’ Shiro muttered after looking through her records.
{So you’re going to be staying here for 2 months until that event?} Nimue asked.’F*ck no. Do you know how boring that will be? I’d rather be making some progress elsewhere. Hell, I could even use these two months to try to get some of the items that I need.’ Shiro rolled her eyes. If she was forced to stay, who knows how bored she’ll be.
She didn’t want to level up either since the more she levelled up now, the harder it would be later. After all, if she levelled up 30 times while not classing up, she’ll be equal to a C class version of a level 130. In that case, she’d be missing out on so many skills and stat points.
{So your plan is?}
’Depending on what happens, I think I’ll let the party stay here till level 100 or something since there is two months till the event. I’m sure that with their standard, this should be ok. As for me, I’ll be going to Japan alone for now and just scout for a bit while looking for my items.’ Shiro replied while giving her body a stretch.
Leaving the room, she sent a message to the party telling them to meet up at one of the restaurants nearby.
"Mn, it’s just something to do with what I planned for the next two months. An event will happen here where orange grade equipment will be available. If possible, I want you girls, and guy, to get to level 100. That way, there’s a better chance for you to get them if the item is what you need." Shiro smiled while ordering a bunch of food for the party.
Seeing the selection, Yin rubbed her hands together with a dumb grin.
"Oh? There’s an event like that?" Silvia raised her eyebrows since she was always ready to get some good healing equipment. After all, there’s nothing better than a good item that can help the entire party.
She had already experienced the ecstasy that came with the bracelet, Life Fire’s Blessing, Shiro had given to her before but unfortunately, that was shattered apart since the bracelet broke.
"Mn. You’ll probably hear more about it as the event date comes closer." Shiro nodded.
"Say Shiro, you never said what you’re going to do in that time. Since you’re already level 100, it wouldn’t be beneficial for you to level up more until you classed up." Madison reminded.
"I’m just about to tell you that now. You see, since Japan is our next stop, I’ve decided to use these two months to explore around the area a little and get some understanding. Plus, I got some personal business that I want to take care of first." Shiro smiled. Since she was going to visit Japan, possibly alone, for the next two months, it was a good chance for her to meet Keiko.
If things go well, she’ll basically have one of the top 5 factions in the current world backing her up. While this doesn’t include hidden factions like sects and the such, example being the hidden sect that Nan Tian is a part of, it was still a blessing.
"Wait, if you want us to get to level 100, that means only Lisandra can follow you." Lyrica furrowed her brows.
"Yup. Don’t worry though, it’s only two months. It’ll pass before you know it. Plus, if you lot get to level 100 early, I’ll come back haha." Shiro laughed as the food was served.
Talking a little about what they may need to improve on during her time away, Shiro decided to be a little risky and hand some items to them.
"Silvia, here’s an earring that is part of the Life Fire’s Blessing. I’ve managed to salvage a bit of it and recycled it to make this. I’ve also added a special material that allows it to change into a growth type item so as long as you give it items it needs to level up, you can use this till you’re level 100." Shiro smiled and handed Silvia a pair of earrings.
"Oh my god Shiro, I’d be all over you right now if you were a boy." Silvia said as she quickly grabbed the earrings.
"Silvi!?" Chen Yu looked over in shock as if his heart was stomped on.
"Kek, fine you can still be consort." Silvia grinned as Chen Yu resisted his urge to cough up blood.
’Return me my pure Silvia!’ He cried out in his mind while looking over at Shiro.
Shrugging her shoulders, Shiro only gave him a ’try harder’ look to push him on.
Turning away from the idiot couple, she then looked towards Lyrica and Madison.
"As for you two, you should know about this item by now. Use it on a piece of equipment that you deem fit to stay with you till level 100 and it will be converted to a growth type equipment. However, do note that you cannot use this with a set item since it will destroy the bonus and the set will be wasted." Shiro reminded and handed them a disguised version of Nano Growth Infuser.
This was the same item she had used to give an item the passive skill Nano Growth so that they could be evolved into higher levels.
She hadn’t been able to use it on her equipment because they were either set items or they weren’t worth it. As for her weapons, since they’re soul bound and level linked, there was no need to begin with.
"Aarim, you can have the same but don’t try to research it haha. It might just blow itself up you know?" Shiro winked with a sly grin.
"Tch, fine. Damn you for getting in the way of my research." Aarim joked with a harmless smile.
"Wait why didn’t I get anything?" Chen Yu asked since everyone else in the party had received something from Shiro to help them.
"Che, you’ve already taken our girl Silvia, what else do you want." Shiro rolled her eyes and looked at him with ’disdain’.
"Urg!"
’Scam! I call scam!’ He shouted out in his mind.
"Pft I’m kidding. Here, have one too. Also, don’t think about giving it to Nan Tian. You’ll break my poor heart if you do and if my heart is broken, I’m pretty sure Silvi will be sad too, right?" Shiro smiled.
"Yup yup." Silvia nodded but she wasn’t focusing on the situation. She was more occupied with enjoying her new earrings that had huge healing buffs applied onto them.
’Help me branch master. I’ve gotten myself into the hornet’s nest and I can’t get out...’
