chapter-99
"An ice water" soon became famous in Binhai City.
Zhang Zian’s order was out of everyone’s expectation.
Jiang Tianda was so angry that he wanted to beat up Zhang Zian through the computer monitor.
The female owner already had the water boiled and was about to clean the tea set with it. As she heard Zhang Zian, her hand shook and some steaming hot water spilled.
The waitress was looking at Zhang Zian as if she could not believe what he said.Even the benevolent and righteous cat napping next to the stove slightly moved. Zhang Zian confirmed that she was not sleeping nor deaf. Just like humans, some cats lose their hearing ability as they get old. Sometimes they yell and sometimes they don’t respond to their master. These are all signs of cats losing their hearing ability.
"What? Is water not available?" Zhang Zian asked.
The waitress turned around and looked at the female owner for help.
The female owner put down the silver teapot. She put a thermometer in the teapot to monitor temperature change. She slightly nodded after thinking for a bit.
The waitress then announced with a shaking voice, "One…iced…water!"
Zhang Zian nodded with satisfaction. "Cool. Please hurry!"
The broadcast room was once again heated up."What the f*ck?! Hurry up?!"
Ordered an iced water in a teahouse? Man, you are shameless!"
"Mr. Scrooge in real life!"
"Agreed!"
"Shameless indeed! Couldn’t find a better word for him!"
Snowy realized her live show broadcast room was a lot more active since she met Zhang Zian. Not only the number of viewers had gone up but also the number of tips she received.
Before she met Zhang Zian, she had a certain number of fans every time. Most fans watched her show quietly. Only a few people talked during the show. Sometimes she was even in doubt when she had thousands of fans watching online. Ever since Zhang Zian made his appearance, fans could not stop talking about him…even that mysterious rich person [Binhai Local] had changed. Usually, he only spoke when he tipped. Now he had been actively scolding Zhang Zian like everyone else.
What an interesting person! She thought to herself, "He always does something out of people’s expectations." The female owner picked out a tea tin from the shelf, used a small spoon to pick up some tea leaves and put them in the tea bowl. When the temperature dropped slightly, she poured hot water into the tea bowl. Loose tea leaves swirled as water was poured in. A light tea color came out as the leaves swirled. The aroma from that tea soon filled the whole room.
When water was about half an inch from the top, she stopped pouring, covered with a lid, picked out some bubbles and then threw away the tea. The first brew was only for cleansing the tea leaves and wakening the taste of tea.
That tea was expensive. She dumped it out like that?
"What a waste!"
"May I work there? I could replace that waste tea bucket!"
She did everything again, poured water in the tea bowl for the second time. This time she didn’t dump out the tea. Instead she closed the lid tightly.
During that time, the waitress delivered Zhang Zian’s order on a tray…an iced water.
"How much is it?" he asked.
The waitress looked at the female owner again. The owner didn’t give a specific response.
"Um… 88 Yuan," the waitress had to make something up.
Zhang Zian didn’t take out his wallet but looked at her. "May I say something?"
The fans were extremely mad. What a goofball! How could he be so demanding ordering only an ice water?!
The waitress didn’t know how to react so she turned to the female owner for help again.
The female owner cleared her voice and said peacefully, "Of course. We don’t have a comment book yet. Sir, please tell us. We will remember it."
"Okay," Zhang Zian said. "First, you should have a comment book."
The female owner nodded, "That’s true. We just opened so we didn’t think of that."
"Very well," Zhang Zian continued. "Second, you charged me 88 Yuan for this water. Honestly it isn’t expensive because it is Fiji water carried up by a porter. However, iced water is not listed in your menu and you are selling this water for 88 yuan. It is a breach of pricing regulations. You should list everything you sell clearly. I am a businessman so I wanted to remind you."
The female owner paused, then nodded, "Sure. We accept your comments. As a thank you gift, your water will be free."
Zhang Zian then nodded happily, "It is not too late to take my advice."
…
In the corporate building of Jiang’s Group, a huge noise came from Jiang Tianda’s office. The secretary thought something happened. She quickly ran in his office and saw that Jiang Tianda had thrown the monitor on the floor. Jiang Tianda started stepping on the monitor a few times. He scolded as he stepped on the monitor, "F*cking liar!" The secretary was so shock she didn’t know what was going on and how to react. Jiang Tianda, the CEO had never been this angry before.
After letting out his anger, Jiang Tianda fixed his suite and said seriously, "Please get me a new monitor."
…
Time was up! The tea was done after one minute. The female owner picked up the lid, poured the amber color tea into a smaller teacup on a tray. The waitress sent the tray to Snowy’s table.
"Please enjoy, madam."
Snowy pointed her cell phone at the tea cup.
[Art of Tea]: Different tea cups should be used for different types of tea. Green tea, yellow tea, and lightly fermented oolong tea is light. A glazed smooth china tea cup, such as porcelain, celadon and Ruding Jun cup releases the best aroma. Black tea, Puer, and heavily fermented oolong tea need to use Yixing clay or ceramic cups. Those cups have a rough surface with large pores which only retain a perfect level of aroma. This is what our Chinese culture value the most – balance. Snowy’s cup is a celadon cup specialized for making tea.
People admired Art of Tea’s knowledge and forgot scolding Zhang Zian.
"Holy Sh*t! I feel like I am drinking tea with a dog’s bowl."
[Art of Tea]: If it is glass, it is fine. Glass is similar to porcelain.
"Thank you! Let me cry alone…"
Snowy giggled, "You guys embarrass me."
[Art of Tea]: "After all, only professional teamakers care about these things. A normal person really doesn’t care, as long as tea is good. Thinking too much about the tea cups will only be an interruption to enjoy a good cup of tea."
