He was the grass1 of this laboratory.

Elegant demeanor, charismatic and funny, and with military connections.

So he was very popular and accepted by everyone.

Exept Bai Weiwei, that mentally handicapped top-level student with no life, the original owner was an exception.

So Bai Weiwei was just a nodding acquaintance to the people in the lab.

Chen Mo asked: “Bai Weiwei, you are going to work?”

Bai Weiwei’s steps paused, she raised her head and nodded expressionlessly.

Chen Mo smiled with a few strands of regret, “I don’t know who rescued the merfolk. It took three years and countless resources for that merfolk to be born. This was indeed a failure.”

A merfolk who killed was a failure.

Even if it had the blood of a purebred king.

It couldn’t become the type of merfolk that the humans wanted.

So Wake was marked as a failed merfolk, in both the military and the lab.

They were just trying to find the merfolk to execute it.

Bai Weiwei’s character this time wasn’t good with words, so she just frowned.

“He’s not a failure.”

A few threads of dark light flashed in Chen Mo’s eyes.

“It seems that your feelings for this merfolk are quite deep.”

Bai Weiwei pressed her lips, her face held a couple hints of helplessness. Then she bowed her head, “No matter, I’ll go first.”

Chen Mo glanced at the scarf around her neck with a mysterious smile.

He nodded and moved to the side.

Bai Weiwei hurried forward, Chen Mo was also turning, and consequently ended up blocking her path.

She slammed into his arms.

Her body seemed to have a subtle fragrance, she looked unusually thin wearing a large white coat, surprisingly weak and fresh.

Both people were shocked.

Bai Weiwei was alarmed.

Chen Mo was surprised.

She raised her head, startled. Her glasses slipped down her nose, revealing a pair of beautiful eyes.

The old-fashioned and ordinary Bai Weiwei’s clear, neat, and delicate face was revealed at a glance.

Chen Mo stared at her blankly.

Bai Weiwei immediately panicked, put on her glasses, then bowed her head and said, “I’m going.”

Chen Mo was speechless for a while, before letting her go, “En, goodbye.”

When Bai Weiwei left, he couldn’t stop thinking about her appearance.

Chen Mo’s mind wandered a little before he put away his restless thoughts.

He knocked on his head, “Yo, now is not the time to pick up girls, that merfolk is the most important.”

When Bai Weiwei walked out of the lab, her clumsy manner disappeared.

She said to the system: “Tongzi, give me information on those goods just now.”

The system rummaged through the data and transmitted it to Bai Weiwei.

“What’s the matter? What’s wrong with that guy?”

Bai Weiwei read through the information, Chen Mo had a family that was strong as an ox.

His grandfather was a nation founding hero and a retired Navy chief commander.

His father was the current president.

The family’s various uncles all worked in military-related positions.

Chen Mo, himself, was a top-level student who liked to study merfolks, so he entered the laboratory.

It seemed like all the information was normal.

He was just linked to the military.

Bai Weiwei touched her chin, “I feel this man isn’t normal, ah.”

System: “What’s not normal? I checked the information, there’s nothing wrong with it.”

Because his role wasn’t tied to the task, the system only had surface information on hand.

Bai Weiwei: “I smell a pervert.”

System: “Perversion can be smelled?”

Bai Weiwei tone deep said: “You wouldn’t understand, the average person isn’t able to distinguish abnormal temperaments.”

System: “Is it that only a pervert that can identify another pervert?”

1: From what I can tell, well-liked or attractive people are often called flowers or grass. Piper: Yes, and beautiful women (especially in a department, classroom / grade, or other type of group) are called flowers, while handsome men are called fresh grass, or something of the like. I think there was a poem about it that created these terms. Here is an interesting language lesson on the subject for those extra curious: Here ↩
