At this moment, Sam is currently sitting in a forest.

In an open space as he did some calculations on a large stone wall. He used his finger to control the energy and various equations are falling on the wall. Meanwhile, on the side a few formation discs are projecting images of Lycans.

They are images of different Lycans. Different elemental affinities, various talents and different constitutions.

Lycans are one of the races very close to beasts. They have very close genetics with Beastmen but they are not exactly beast men either.

They are different and even though Sam came across some Lycans and werepeople in his journey to here, he never came across purebred Lycans like these. So, of course, he would be intrigued to research a bit.

Right now, he is researching the transformability of Lycans. From their humanoid form to the true form.

Of course, there are a bunch of other races like Nagas and some Demons that have different forms, even mermen and Sirens that are currently part of Dusk's vast establishments have the transformations.

But the transformations of Lycans is whole another level.

In the other creatures, even though the transformation happens, there is no real change in their internal structure. Their primary organs, the energy cores, the circulatory and nervous systems, all remain the same.

But for Lycans, they all change, it is like instead of the external body itself, the whole being is evolving and devolving with every transformation.

He wanted to understand the science behind this transformation and see if he can apply it to any of his other inventions.

It is an interesting subject.

As he was playing around with the equations and the images, he stopped and called out.

"There is no point in hiding and seeing what I am doing. And the recording crystal in your hand would be useless too. No matter who you show it to, all they could do is scratch their heads."

As soon as he spoke, someone came from the shadows of the forest and stood behind him.

It is a young man with long dark hair. He gave out a very dark and shady aura and he had a devilish grin on his face.

His upper body is bare and it is jacked. He looked like a sculpture carved out of marble stone with his very while skin complexion and the contrast between his white frame and dark aura is very eye-catching.

He put the recording stone away and looked at the calculations.

"Interesting. You are weaker than me in cultivation, but you can still spot me when I use my shadow merge. You are really talented."

Sam didn't bother replying. He just focused on the calculations in front of him.

"What is this?"

The young man asked.

"Research. On Lycans."

The young man seemed interested, but no matter how much he tried he couldn't make heads and tails of the equations, but he was fascinated by the holographic images.

"Are these internal structures of lycans?"

He asked as he looked at a projection of the circulatory system.

"Yes, in its true form."

Then the young man moved to the full Lycan image and said.

"Wow, these Lycans seem interesting. The Bastard Jate really lucked out Having to deal with these Lycans. They seem like great opponents to deal with."

"Yes, they are."

Sam finally put the equations to rest and asked.

"So, what are you here for? How long are you guys going to keep me here?"

"Well, you did have a lot of recommendation letters for you, but you know the person in charge here is a tough son of a bitch."

"He is your brother."

"Don't sweat on the small stuff. Anyway, my brother is very scared that you will steal his credit, so of course he is going to keep you at bay."

"But he is in Late Stage, while I am in Initial Stage. We are not even fighting in the same class."

"Of course, of course. But still, my brother is a credit hog and glory whore."

"He is still your brother."

"Anyway, a commander is going to come. We are going to move to the area Giants had already occupied.

An area that has five cities and twelve villages. We need to capture it back. The area is full of valuable resources. From spirit stone mines, high level Divine ores, medicinal fields to the most important, the five cities have legacies of the humans that used to stay there.

They were caught off guard and the whole area is wiped out.

We learned that the Giants captured a lot of nobility and commoners there to breed and develop Demi Giants that could inherit these legacies since they can only be done through human bloodline.

I will introduce you to this commander. Our task it to breakthrough into the Giant occupied territory. It would be a much larger scale invasion this time, but it would be done through smaller squads.

Even if my brother opposes this time, the commander will have to accept you with the recommendation letters.

After all, there are some young masters contacting the commander and a senior even scolded him for being so arrogant and cocky. My brother is in trouble now. Hehe."

Sam didn't bother with him anymore. He put away the holographs and was about to go for a hunt and eat something, but at this moment, the young man's communication token beeped.

"Mitra, bring that Guy same over. Our new commander is here. Your brother is already meeting with him."

"Perfect time. Let's go."

Sam followed Mitra as both of them left the forest.

This Mitra is of the same stature as Jate. Both of them are Late Stage Divine Plane Initiation cultivators. The social status of both is also similar.

But for Mitra, there is an elder brother who is also of the same status and strength, but because of that guy's age and this guy's lazy attitude, the brother had a higher rank in military.

And he has been stalling Sam's involvement in this war.

Sam already understood the status here. Out of the three races that invaded this planet, the Giants are doing the most damage, followed by Lycans.

The Giants managed to occupy a large territory and that too a valuable territory.

So, he is looking forward to the fight here as there are more giants. He could just fill up a lot of his quota.

Mitra and Sam arrived at the camp. Many people are whispering as they saw them.

"Come on everyone. How about we shut the fuck up if we don't have anything to say out loud."

Mitra said in a loud voice which silenced everyone's words.

Sam sighed as he looked at this.

If not for the fact that this is the camp that is dealing with the Giant-occupied territory, he would have avoided this. This place is so full of politics even at a time like this.

There are about four factions fighting internally while trying to acquire the land and the legacies.

Now that these five legacies opened up for grabs, these four factions are trying to gain these legacies for themselves and this made Sam very frustrated.

He has been around for over a few days and he has seen over a dozen missions sabotaged for these politics. If he is on the Giants' side at this moment, he could just set this whole camp on fire.

It's like dried grass waiting for a burning match. It will just burn to ashes.

Soon, they reached a building that is the current headquarters for operations.

Inside, another young man that looked very similar to Mitra is standing in front of a middle-aged man who had a bald head.

Both of them were discussing something and they halted as soon as Sam and Mitra entered.

"Oyy, Uncle. Nice to meet you. It has been a while since we last met. How have you been?"

The bald man frowned and then sighed.

"Mitra, I am here on official duty. You should call me Commander. I am not your uncle here."

"Okay, Uncle. Here, this is the guy named Sam. The one that my brother has been blocking with all of his heart.

He must have whined about it to you already. What did he say?"

The commander looked at Mitra's brother and said.

"So, Rodra. Is this guy you were talking about?"

Rodra just nodded.

Commander looked at Sam and said.

"I am already getting an earful from a lot of people on the Western front. I have a senior brother there and he sang high praises for you.

You seemed to have a great standing on the western front and your achievements in killing Lycans are very high. Why did you come here?"

"I am interested in killing Giants now."

"Why is that?"

"Simple, I am going to fight on the fronts that are least efficient and least effective. This time it just happened to be your territory and Giants happened to be a reason for that.

I like a challenge."

The room turned silent. Sam just called all of them inefficient and ineffective. Rodra's veins bulged in anger.
