Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

chapter-2175
After the deal with Jamin is facilitated, Sam went to another academy to collect a different quest. As part of his twelve labors and this time also the academy followed the previous trick
They decided to just give him some long lasting quest instead of trying to kill him.
Of course, Sam found a way to do it faster and easier, with all the man power and resources he had.
While Sam went away, the payment day for the Hub has come.
Many people did their best to make the payment and most of them did. But there is a significant number that couldn't.After midnight which directly indicated the end of that deadline.
In a far away planet from the Academy realm. Within an isolated city that is full of light energy that gave off holy vibes.
There is a city that is fully made of gold and white colored materials. Ordinary gold and even some high level gold is nothing more than decoration to most of the cultivators and these people did exactly that.
The whole city is decorated with gold. The pillars, gates, walls, doors, all of them are decorated with gold. Some are even made of these golden metals. The city is small, but grand and exquisite.
Even though it is midnight there, the golden light coming off of those golden ornamnents lit up the whole city. In the middle of the city laid a massive building. It looked like a castle that only the greatest of the kings could live.
However, right now even people with mortal plane cultivation and looked like beggars are walking in and out of those gates.
The gates are wide open, for anyone to enter as they wish. And there are two gatekeepers. It would be more accurate to say that they are the people who were placed there to welcome everyone.
They are wearing long robes embroidered with various forms of golden patterns. They are greeting everyone with their smile. And if not for that sense of peace oozing out of their pale faces, they looked rather creepy.
A young man walked in through the gate. Unlike most people who are walking through that gate, this guy looked rather strong. He wore a battle armor and walked in nervously.
After talking to the gatekeeper a bit, he was guided to a special place within the palace.
Soon, an old man wearing a robe that is much more luxurious than before has come and sat in front of him,
"I heard that you came here to change your faith. Are you sure you want to do this?"
The old man asked. His smile is also peaceful and made the young man feel a lot less nervous
"Yes, Sir." The young nodded like a pecking hen.
"You do know that once you transfer your faith to the almighty god, you cannot go back to your faith.
You need to surrender your soul and mind. And from now on, you need to act solely according to our beliefs and practices."
"Yes, Sir. I understand."
"So, before we proceed, I need you to explain what prompted you to change your faith."
"A soul Contract. I.. *ARGH*"
The young man suddenly stopped speaking. He held his head with piercing pain coursing through his nerves. He collapsed from the chair and started rolling around.
The old man frowned and snapped his fingers.
Someone came running. It was a woman with golden blonde hair and pure white robe.
"What happened, Sir?"
"I think it is a soul contract reaction. And it seems like a very powerful contract. Restrain the contract a bit, by isolating his soul."
The lady nodded and ran to the young man. Several runic patterns appeared on her palm. The runes are archaic and gave off very weird aura. It is different from the regular spiritual energy, very similar but there is definitely some variation.
The runic mark is locked on the forehead of the young man.
That instant, he finally stopped squirming in pain. He opened his eyes and looked around in confusion for a moment, before he came back to his senses.
"S…Sir?"
He looked at the old man in askance.
The old man sized him up. He even stepped close to him and examined the golden rune that was engraved on the young man's head.
Up on closer inspection, one could see that the rune's glow is fluctuating. After some time, it stopped. It is glowing with only ten percent of the original goal.
The expression on the old man grew extremely serious.
"Who wrote this contract?" he asked the young man.
The young man sighed and explained.
"Sir, I am a Student from the Zeus Academy in the Academy realm. I joined some place called hub and they have a weird contract. If I don't pay a certain amount of coins, we have to pay a lot of our assets. The more the delay, the more trouble we will have.
Right now, I am unable to pay and the soul contract is acting up.
That is why I came here.
I realized that there is no way for me to go through this deal."
"A soul contract of that level? Is it exclusive to you? How many people signed that contract? How many conditions are there in it?"
"Thousands of students signed it. As for the conditions, there are hundreds. I can't even remember them at this point."
"So, you came here after learning about us? To isolate the soul and rid yourself of the soul contract?"
"Yes." The young man just agreed.
"You can have it, but for that, I have a condition as well."
The old man said and the young man frowned. He is pretty scared about conditions by now.
"You still need to continue as a student in the Zeus Academy. The baptism that you are about to go through will not stand as a hindrance to it."
The young man was confused.
After all, how could a condition be so beneficial to him? He came here believing that he will lose his status as a student of Zeus Academy. After all, he did gain some information about this specific faith that he came for help.
It is a relatively new faith and has only been around for a few decades.
The influence it has is very concentrated and it didn't spread very far.
In fact, apart from the planet he is currently on, there is only around four more planets where this faith is prevalent.
However, everyone in that space is a devout believer.
Every follower of the faith is rid of all kinds of injuries and sicknesses.
Their souls were freed and their cultivation improved by a lot.
This is the specialty of this faith. Improvement and united front. It is not very popular and even this young man found out by chance because of a mission he took to investigate this. After some investigation he realized that this faith is not exactly obsessed with power and spreading their influence.
He reported it back to the academy and everyone forgot about it, except for the young man of course.
He has been a follower of Zeus for as long as he could remember, but whenever a problem came to him or other followers, Zeus rarely responded. In fact, most of the faith towards the Olympian gods is due fear instead of devotion.
So, a faith that is so generous made his curious, which made him dig deeper.
That is why he believed that he could rid of the soul contract if he came here.
He was expecting to pay a high price and if he was asked such a price, he wouldn't have doubted the other party.
But now…
Sensing the hesitation in the young man's face, the old man understood.
"Don't worry. We are actually planning to enter the Academy realm and establish our academy. From the looks of it, you are just a freshman there. In the next few years, stay there and help us understand how an academy and its system of operations work.
I am sure it is not exactly a difficult or a confidential thing. We would like to take inspiriations from other academies and build a system of our own."
Then only the young man sighed a bit. This is indeed not a particularly outrageous request, but it is not easy either.
He has to be constantly vigilant to make sure that his change of faith is not revealed if he went back. And if that was revealed and he is also going to be scouting their practices… it is indeed a bit risky. Ironically, that brough relief to him.
He immediately agreed.
Both of them shook hands.
"Welcome to the Faith of Agmon.
May I know your name?"
The old man asked.
"I am Alton." The young man replied. He paused for a moment and asked.
"May I know, how I should address you?"
"You can called Broman."
