The attacker rolled on the floor. His mouth wide open as he tried to gasp for air. However, he couldn't. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't do it.

His body slowly started turning a shade of black before he laid there dead.

A bunch of small black shadows left the body as they spread in different directions. Everything happened in just a minute. In that time, Sam just focused on the inscription marking. The second attacker stopped in his tracks as he looked at his dead colleague.

He wanted to take a step back, but the next moment he remembered where the order came from.

He gulped hard and lunged forward, hoping to catch Sam with all his power. But the next moment, he stopped in mid-air. His body froze and floated in the air. The next moment…

*SLASH*

A deep gash appeared on his shoulders spraying blood.

*SLASH*

Followed by another on his abdomen.

*SLASH*

Followed by one more on his face. One after another more and more gashes appeared on his body.

"Hopper."

Sam didn't even raise his head and said in a dismissive tone. Only then did the continuous and torturous slashes stop before the body fell to the ground. After a moment of struggle, he died as well.

The Bartender cum owner of the restaurant looked at the whole scene in fear.

His legs started shaking as he imagined the consequences of this. He knew for sure up on whose orders these two people came here. That is why, he staked his business for that hour so that they could finish the job and leave.

That would be the easier option usually.

But right now, not only did the target retaliate, he retaliated in such a decisive and straightforward way.

He saw how Sam didn't even move from his seat but he did all the damage he has to do. If that is not a clear indication of power and strength, the bartender couldn't comprehend what actually is. He felt a bad feeling welling up in his heart.

Now, that woman will retaliate and this guy will fight back. In process he will lose his restaurant.

As soon as his thoughts stopped at that point, he saw a few more people walking inside the restaurant. The pace of their steps is a lot faster than their predecessors. They also wore the same uniforms, all of them carrying swords.

They immediately ran over and surrounded Sam's table. Their armors and swords started glowing creating an energy pattern around Sam.

The sword formation…

One second it is ready to tear Sam apart, but the next second…

Tiny black shadows started swarming them from all the sides. Their bodies became infected from the shadow energy of the shadow mice. They felt like their veins are being slowly picked up on.

The next moment, the sword formation is disrupted, apart from the backlash, they felt cold weapons on their necks. The weapons held by the shadow undead of Sam.

The necks were split open and their bodies were left there. The shadow undead and the shadow mice disappeared as if they were not there.

Hopper on the other hand landed on Sam's shoulder and looked at the virtual screens.

It looked like it is enjoying the glittery screens.

At the same time, someone else is looking at a projection formation, looking at the scene in the restaurant.

It is a middle-aged man, the subordinate of Krijen, but a few levels. He is the one who received the order from the tall lady. At first he thought it would be a simple thing and sent a couple of knights. But while they were on their way, he wanted to be sure and sent the rest of the squad.

Before the squad reached, the first two died, and before he could stop the squad, the squad died.

"Call the Dark Dagger Squad. Deploy their first level warriors. We need to kill him asap and clean up that place.

I want you to recruit new fine members and replace that knight squad. We cannot let this matter reach young master Krejin."

The man tried to cover his behind as he babbled the orders.

His orders were moved forward and within a few minutes, a bunch of shadowy figures moved towards the restaurant. The shadow mice and the undead moved. However, the sheer number of the people that came at him, even the numerous mice and the immortal undead might not suffice.

While Sam is busy, the clash happened. Shadow mice and undead are clashing with the enemies who are skilled in using shadows as well.

It seemed like every prominent family held an assassination squad skilled in using shadow skills.

As the shadow mice and the undead fought, some skilled assassins started getting past them and entered the restaurant. Sam didn't move and just spoke.

"Are you moving or not?" He addressed the Hopper on his shoulder. But instead of answering him, it just stared at the characters on the glittery screen.

"When will you ever reach maturity?" Sam muttered as he got the message. The little guy just wants to be a brat now of all times.

He focused back on the screen while the ring with his divine dimension stone glowed.

Just when a shadow was about to pierce the dagger in Sam's throat…

*SWOOSH*

A giant arm caught a hold of the shadow and dragged it away.

"Keep quite."

Sam said to the ape as he started drawing something on the wooden table. The golden ape nodded and slowly walked away with the shadow while it also captured another shadow with his other arm.

The next thing they knew, both dark squad members were minced into pulp without making any sound at all.

The ape then proceeded to kill other members as quietly as possible.

The battle only gave out the sound of the wind whistles except for that, nothing else came. The middle-aged man saw this and his heart turned cold.

"No… this cannot be. That is a Golden Ape. How is it even here? And to have it as a pet, we can't deal with him with just Initial stage Divine Plane Initiation cultivators, we need people of higher level." He muttered to himself.

He is sure that unless the true geniuses were brought forward, he wouldn't be able to deal with the Golden Ape.

And since Sam managed to command the ape, the assumed that his background is either too powerful on par with their own young master, or he is too powerful. Either way, the difficulty just increased by a dozen fold.

"We cannot sir. We cannot use the next level cultivators. Madam gave strict orders that we need to use the cultivators of the same levels. It is the requirement set by young master Krejin himself."

The middle-aged man fell silent for a moment and spoke.

"Deploy all the auxiliary forces of that level. Spare no expense and use everyone in our control. I will go and apply for usage of special squads and deployment from our Foster Wing."

Just like that he went.

Soon, the whole street was evacuated and it was all taken over by the forces. People who wore different uniforms and had different affiliations were all pulled together.

As long as they are connected to the Telchines, they were asked to come and they all rushed at the restaurant at the same time.

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

The explosive sound were the first to reach Sam.

He waved his hand again. Sky and Yanwu came out in their smaller forms.

"Keep it quiet."

That is all Sam said.

Both the birds flew out of the windows and into the sky.

*BOOM*

With a loud explosion, wind and golden flames combined created a tornado.

Sam's hand flinched a bit and he muttered.

"I told you to keep it quiet, you idiots."

He went back to his work.

After noticing that Sam is not reacting that much to all the noise the birds are creating, the ape became sneaky and with a grin started a rampage.

The people started falling like flies. The whole street is drenched in blood as the battle intensified. Hundreds of dead bodies.

As the bodies increased, so did the people that came. Sam had to release a few more beasts. Raiju and Forrest Bear were also out. Only Dia and Mia remained inside. Sam didn't want to let them out too.

Since he is in Olympian territory, those two beasts… they are a big deal here.

Particularly the Hydra. Even though Poseidon and Hydra never really had too much interaction, the talk in the streets is that the descendants of Poseidon have been trying to tame the Hydras for centuries.

Sam only heard it fleetingly, so he didn't know the truth of the matter. Anyway, their help is not needed and he doesn't need to let them out.

Hours passed and Sam still kept on working with the runic patterns. He made significant patterns.

Meanwhile, the tall woman who gave the order to kill Sam came out of the meditation and when she got the report… let's just say that it is nowhere near what she expected.
