Krejin looked at the situation with a frown.

The dead bodies around the area shocked him. After handing over the task to Siola, he didn't bother checking it again. But now that he saw its results, he gave Sam a once over and then to the beasts.

A glint of greed flashed past those eyes before it disappeared.

He then looked at the young man who was blocking Sam's sword. He wanted to say something, but at this moment, Sam smiled.

"Let's get serious since we have the appropriate audience." His arm that was holding the shadow sword glowed a bit. A glove covered his palm magically even without the sword moving in the slightest.

The glove started glowing.

Shadow energy ran rampant from within his body and the glove, all of them combined charging in to the shadow sword.

Sam could sense the feelings of the shadow sword's spirit through the connection he shared. At that moment, the spirit acted like an athlete on drugs. As if it was filled with roid rage. A crass comparison but very apt.

Sam didn't do any fancy move, he just directly slashed the sword from his position.

Everything happened in the fraction of a breath. Before the young could react, the sword went through him, cleaving him into two. The young man's body fell down. Now no one stood between him and Siola.

The glove collapsed and turned into dust.

Sam held the sword calmly while using his left hand to catch Siola by her throat as she sat there in shock. Only after she felt her body light and breath go low did she realize that she was held up in the air by her neck.

Sam looked at Krejin and smiled.

"You bragged so much about, Telchines, their pride and all the shit.

But it seems like your subordinates don't carry any of that. Just the prospect of a possible punishment is enough for them to break the protocol completely. Truly a pity, for some of your position, all you have is some incompetent and barely loyal subordinates."

Sam's words had an immediate effect on Krejin.

His face turned red, and his fists clenched. He wanted to kill someone so badly at that moment.

He looked at the squad member that interfered.

"Since your team is what changed the game, then let me crank it up a bit. I will play your game now, I will run and survive, but the twist is, your dear subordinate, this woman whose eyes that I very much want to gouge out, will be with me.

Before the time limit is up, if you do not catch me, with just the specified rules that you set.

I will do an autopsy on her while he is alive. I will hide each of her parts in the Telchine territory for you guys to find like the treasure hunt the children play.

I do believe that she deserves a proper burial since she worked for you so loyally. I wonder if you would be able to find her body though."

Sam snapped his fingers. A grenade flew out of nowhere and exploded mid-air. The explosion created a massive flash that last for three seconds.

When the flash is gone, Sam is floating mid-air. His beasts disappeared and he held Siola by her hair carrying her like some luggage in his hands.

Krejin gritted his teeth.

The calmness that he wore on his face since the start is gone. He is really pissed. It did seem like the squad take a right decision. Krejin does care about this woman.

Sam snapped his fingers once again.

Another grenade of completely different nature appeared in front of him.

"See you soon."

He smirked before he disappeared from there.

*BOOM*

The explosion filled with death energy spread like a wildfire in a dead forest.

It lasted a few minutes. Krejin didn't even flinch, he just looked into the darkness that enveloped him. His senses are still intact and his body is fool proof. The death energy with its meager amount is no threat to him.

He just stood there until the energy cleared completely. His gaze locked into the squad that interfered. While the squad looked at something else. They are looking at the dead bodies on the street. Those dozens of bodies, are all glowing slightly. Right in front of their eyes, one by one started standing up.

They became undead creatures.

This time, the squad didn't hold back, they directly made a move. Some of them closed in on Krejin to protect him while the rest of them attacked the undead.

They made the right move, but their estimations were wrong. Unlike what they thought, the undead didn't attack them directly. They also didn't try to swarm them. Instead, their bodies started absorbing the surrounding energy crazily.

For a moment, the spiritual energy in the surroundings completely lost the balance.

Krejin's frown tightened. He hurriedly activated his defense artefact.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

A series of explosions, caused by the undead being overloaded with the surrounding spiritual energy. Meat and bones were splashed all over the streets. The whole squad was caught in the explosion. The high level members were not effected.

The low level members were.

Krejin would have also been in caught in it, if not for the defense artefact.

However, that is not the main issue. The commission created there is the bigger problem. Because of the magnitude of the explosion, the surrounding area quaked like a coward's legs. The whole city is in a complete disarray.

It is one thing for the forces to die, but even the common populace under the Telchine territory is being affected. And Krejin is the one answerable for it.

"Track him down. The tracker spell is still on him. Be on his tail and move the Foster Unit and the Branch Elites.

I want him captured alive, immediately.

And don't you dare kill any of his beasts. Not just killing them, they shouldn't even suffer a scratch. You have the leeway on how much you can attack him, but the beasts are out of the question. And this time only Initial Stage of Divine Plane Initiation.

Even if the world turns upside down, no rule breaking. I will not tolerate it."

Krejin left the orders to his subordinates and left.

He didn't disappear like before, but instead went to the same hall in which the spell was placed on Sam.

"Old man, you there?"

He greeted the empty hall space.

"What do you want, kid?"

"I need to know the live location of that guy, Sam. I know that you can do it. So, help me out here."

"Why are you asking me that? I am sure, the trinkets I gave your team are already enough to track his location properly. Why do you want know his live location at all times?"

The old man's voice asked.

Krejin didn't really have an answer to that. Technically, he would get a lock on Sam's location sooner or later. As for why he needs an immediate solution.. Its just that he is in a bit of hurry. He just doesn't want to wait and deal with Sam as soon as possible.
