Chapter 144 - Li WangJin is Dead (1)

Normally speaking, when a company has a problematic product, if the company would stand up and explain nicely to the public and discuss their [next action plans, the public would at least be pacified a little bit.

Li WangJin, on the other hand, decided to first suppress the news, wipe it off of the most trending list, cancel accounts that bashed his products, all in one go. Well, it might have been fun for him to do that, but not so much for the netizens and they started bashing him right away.

[Dang capitalist! He had my account cancelled! Did I badmouth anyone? No! I only posted my feedback from my personal experience and the account I had been using for years was gone! Li WangJin was dead! And I’ve scattered his ashes into the sewer!]

[Hoho, so you have time to get the news off of most trending list but not to stand up and give us an explanation? You coward!]

[I regret now. Regretting a lot. How could I have believed in someone with no integrity? Couldn’t I have saved my money for Beautify Pills? Dang Li WangJin! Give me back my hard-earned money!]

[I am banned Li WangJin for myself. I will never use any products of his again. And then there’s Yifang Corporation who worked with him. They were both scums!]

[So you are not going to give me a refund? That’s fine. Then I’ll have to file a complaint for false then.]

[I’ve bought some over the Shopping Festival and haven’t opened them up yet. Reading about what had happened to everyone else, I don’t want to take them anymore. I am going to get a refund instead. This is so scary. Are they selling bioweapons or something?]

All the enraged netizens bashed Li WangJin under his Weibo account and many of the victims described their own personal accounts. Their stories could get tears out of stones.

The more they posted, the angrier they got and the news that had been removed from the most trending list went right back up again.

This time the new search term was “Li WangJin was dead”. That very much described all of their feelings right now.

Some netizens were coordinating for group returns. The launch of the Cherry Blossom Pills was worst disaster everyone has seen in years.

On his way to look for Zhang Bi, Li WangJin kept in touch with his employees. More and more customers were demanding refunds and the number of complaints about their stores also continued to climb. He could do nothing but watch money that was already in his pocket leaving him bit by bit and that pained him deeply.

City S was already starting to get cold in November. Despite the chilling wind, Li WangJin sweated.

It wasn’t that he failed to see the anger of the consumers. It was just that he truthfully had no idea what was going on and how to address the issue. Thinking that there might really be something wrong with the Cherry Blossom Pills, he fell that all of his limbs went cold.

He had invested a lot of money on this project over time. He estimated around 3 billion yuan or so. And 2 billion of those were borrowed. If he failed…

The thought of the possibility made him shudder. He said in a very severe tone. “Why are you driving so slowly? Hurry up!”

He was very anxious and wanted to talk to Zhang Bi right away.

Lao Sun, his chauffeur, was very nervous and could do nothing but accelerate. When he rushed, he almost ran into another car which caused another conflict.

With that added delay, it was almost midnight by the time Li WangJin arrived at the Zhang’s.

Zhang Bi, apparently, was also stressed over this incident. His eyes were blood red. When he saw Li WangJin, he couldn’t control his anger and grabbed Li WangJin by his collar. “Was that formula fake?”

Even though they had done clinical trials when they first produced them but, after they have seen the result of lightening skin tone and for the sake of launching the product for the Shopping Festival, they didn’t have time to thoroughly test them out before going into full production.

By the time the test subjects began to present with issues and that their skin did not whiten as expected and their pores minimized, the Zhang’s realized that something was wrong. Nevertheless, they were also passed the point of no return and it was too late for regret.
