Chapter 115: Clear The Room
That expression.
Chi Qing immediately recognized this person to be Su Huiqing.
He lifted his eyes. He was still smiling but his smile was now tinged with a hint of chilliness. “Why are you guys looking for her?”
The assistant was no fool, but was actually very smart. Otherwise, he would not have successfully surpassed tens of thousands of others to become Chi Qing’s assistant. He instantly knew why Chi Qing was asking this question, and he adjusted his spectacles.
“You have played and replayed this video several times today. You even NG several times during filming. This is the first time you have ever behaved in this manner.” The assistant came to a sudden halt at this point.
He glanced at Chi Qing.
Observing no reaction from him, the assistant continued. “I don’t believe that you don’t know her.”
Chi Qing’s expression shifted as he took up his cell phone with one hand and shut the laptop with the other.
“I am not acquainted with her.” Chi Qing got Director Lu on the phone and propped up his feet. He lowered his eyes and leaned back lazily.
He gave Director Lu a straightforward rejection. He knew that there was only one reason that Director Lu was looking for Su Huiqing. He must have spotted her as a potential talent.
What a pity that it was Su Huiqing.
Director Lu didn’t beat around the bush with Chi Qing, but answered seriously, “Didn’t you wish to buy my illusion herb? If you are able to convince her, I will give it to you.”
Chi Qing straightened his body and glanced at his assistant, before walking out the door with his cell phone.
His expression had turned very serious.
“Are you sure?” Chi Qing leaned against the door. Even his voice had become more hoarse.
His emotions were running somewhat high.
Director Lu’s voice was smooth. “I don’t know any potion maker. The illusion herb is no use to me.”
Chi Qing chuckled. “Alright, I will contact her for you.”
He only promised to contact her.
This was because he himself was not sure if Su Huiqing still needed it.
The next day.
Su Lun didn’t come down for breakfast.
Su Huiqing sipped on her milk. She glanced at Su Lun’s empty seat before leaving.
Her lowered eyes dimmed.
She took her bag from a servant and hoisted it behind her. She glanced down at her cell phone.
She had yet to receive the information on the Ning Family.
She narrowed her eyes. This lack of promptness was not Number One Intelligence Agency’s usual style.
After a slight hesitation, she stuffed the cell phone into her pocket. She gave a slight bow and a word of thanks, as per her usual habit.
Her voice was clear and pleasant as always.
The servant stared after the Young Mistress as she left. She was the same cool beauty as before.
However, she felt that Young Mistress’ smile was somewhat chilly. Or was it just a wrong impression on her part?
Su Huiqing went to school as per normal.
She placed her bag on the table and sat down on the chair. She rested one arm on the back of her chair, and placed the other on the table.
Her manner was calm and cool.
She had four classes that morning.
Only when her final class, English, was coming to an end did Ning Wenxue sashay in wearing a pink, pleated skirt.
She must have spent a lot of time and effort to create this get-up. She truly had a very beautiful face.
Everyone’s eyes were on her, while some even gasped in wonder.
“I heard she is from the International Association.”
“She even has bodyguards just to come to class?”
“I heard the principal wanted her to join Class One. She looks very capable.”
Ning Wenxue enjoyed being the center of attention.
She surveyed her surroundings, and noticed Su Huiqing, who was leaning back lazily in her chair.
Her smiling face froze as she pointed at Su Huiqing in disbelief. Her voice broke slightly. “Why are you still here?”
The butler had promised that she would not see her today!
Su Huiqing just flipped through an English-language book, as she shot her a cold smile.
Ning Wenxue’s face darkened as she silently cursed those people for not carrying out their tasks quickly enough.
Nevertheless, her mood improved as she thought of how Su Huiqing would not be able to remain smug for long.
“This seat is located so far behind. Is that really for me?” Her anger rose again when she saw the empty seat in the very last row.
How dare they treat her so perfunctorily!
The English teacher had obviously received special instructions from the principal. She did not dare to disrespect Ning Wenxue, but quickly smiled and said that she would immediately arrange for a better seat.
But Ning Wenxue just ignored her and threw her pink bag viciously onto the ground.
The two bodyguards standing outside the classroom door heard the noise and instantly rushed in with stone-cold faces.
It was clear for all to see that they both had guns by their waists.
Ning Wenxue lifted her chin at the girl seated at the center of the front row. She commanded in a frosty tone. “You! Get lost!”
Teacher Wan had arranged for this particular female student to sit at the front row as she was short and near-sighted. She was also a very timid and shy girl.
She trembled all over and her face turned pale at Ning Wenxue’s fierce shouting.
The English teacher hurriedly shot her a look, warning her not to provoke Ning Wenxue.
The girl’s face turned even more white. She bit her lips and quietly started to pack up.
However, Ning Wenxue felt her movements were too slow and she kicked the table in frustration.
Clutching her books, the girl could barely hold it together anymore.
Without a word, Gu Li pushed back his chair and walked over, to help her carry her books to the back row.
Holding onto her bag, the female student took a deep breath and followed Gu Li to the last row, her head lowered the entire time.
As the female student passed by, Su Huiqing could clearly see the tears falling to the ground.
“Snap!”
The pencil in Su Huiqing’s hand had been snapped in two.
Qu Yan turned and looked at her with a worried expression.
She saw that Su Huiqing’s fingers had turned pale with tension.
Su Huiqing’s face was lowered, her dark eyes filled with a never-before-seen malevolent and murderous glint. Turmoil raged in those eyes.
For the rest of the class, Ning Wenxue’s bodyguards stood officiously outside the door.
Everyone was cowed.
An unprecedented silence descended over the class.
When the bell finally rang, the English teacher hastily gathered her teaching materials and left Class 11.
Su Huiqing glanced at the cell phone on her table. It had lit up.
It was the information sent over by Number One Intelligence Agency.
She finally lifted her gaze and stared at Ning Wenxue with her dark eyes.
She remained unmoving. The rest of the class also kept still.
Only after Ning Wenxue packed up her belongings and was about to leave did Su Huiqing finally make her move.
“Everyone who is not involved, get out and lock the front and back doors.” She slowly closed her English book as she spoke up calmly. “Clear the room.”
