Chu Xuning was momentarily shocked.

He had heard this word more than two times in the past few days.

When this person was still alive, only a few outside the International Association knew about her existence. But when this person died, it created a stir.

“I’m suddenly curious about what kind of person she was?” Chu Xuning deepened his voice. “After she died, there were no activities from the Rapid Fire Mercenary Regiment. It was as though they disappeared into thin air.”

He could not imagine how such a person looked that many people trusted her.

“We have no photograph of her.” Yu Shijin turned his head over and his bangs cast a shadow on his face.

2His clean and long fingers were playing with a lighter.

The lighter was black, thus it was difficult to tell what material it was made of. But there was a vivid-like dragon drawn on it, and it reflected the icy-cold light.

‘Kacha!

4A blue fire sparked.

He looked towards Chu Xuning. With an indiscernible expression, he lowered his head and said in a soft voice, “Those who know her were well aware that she did not like being photographed.”

2Just when Chu Xuning entered a daze, a well-built man in a black suit walked in. “Boss, Doctor Luxe agreed to meet us.”

As Yu Shijin raised his head, it exposed his strikingly black orbs that had a sharp glint to it.

“Let’s go.” Only when Xie Zhengyuan saw Yu Shijin walk out, did he react and patted Chu Xuning, who was in a daze. They left together afterward.

Doctor Luxe was a famous biologist in Country Hua and had participated in the development of biochemical weapons in the International Association.

1Yu Shijin’s main mission was to send Doctor Luxe safely back to the International Association. It would be disastrous if he landed in the hands of all those fugitives because if that happened, they would gain the opportunity of using biochemical weapons.

The door of the science laboratory opened.

A person walked out.

“Is there a matter?” Doctor Luxe took off his protective clothing and revealed the black clothes that he was wearing.

A snowy white ribbon flowed down his left hand and contrasted with his black clothes.

Yu Shijin squinted his eyes and paused momentarily. He then asked, “When can you leave?”

“I need at least one month before I can leave.” Doctor Luxe drank the cup of tea that his assistant brought over. “Problems cropped out for this experiment, so I can’t leave at this moment.”

The doctor was very busy, and after rushing through a few sentences, he was called back to the research room.

“One month? His address here is easy to find. The doctor is in grave danger.” Chu Xuning furrowed his brows.

Yu Shijin pushed the door and left. Before he left, he paused his footsteps and tilted his head. “I will go and find Chi Yue while you protect the doctor.”

Against the light, his side view looked lonely and cold, and one could not tell from his expression.

1“Find Chi Yue?! Didn’t you say Chi Yue only takes orders from one person?” After he had left, Chu Xuning snapped back to his senses and suddenly recalled something. “What happened to the doctor lately?”

Black clothes, white ribbon.

This was an attire worn when one was mourning for a person.

“Haven’t you realized that Young Master Yu is also wearing black?” Xie Zhengyuan glanced at his phone before coldly staring at Chu Xuning. “Look up the news about the International Association. Most people who appear on the news wear such an outfit, too.”

It was then Chu Xuning realized that his boss never wore his favorite white shirt lately.

Only one person could make intimidating people act as such.

“Qing… Qingqing, I… I can’t run anymore!” Qu Yan bent down with hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath. “You can continue.”

But Su Huiqing only glanced at her with her cold, black eyes. “Continue running.”

It was a calm two words.

1Qu Yan gritted her teeth and stood up before she followed Su Huiqing with difficulty.

The sun was going to set. Qu Yan stared at Su Huiqing’s black hair swaying under the sun from the back.

Su Huiqing ran while noting down Qu Yan’s limits.

After three rounds, she slowed down. Other than her slightly rougher breathing, there were no changes to her body at all.

She took out a bottle of water from her bag and gently threw it to Qu Yan’s hands with accuracy.

Qu Yan opened the bottle and gulped down the water. And as she slid down the tree, she tried to catch her breath and regained her senses afterward.

Su Huiqing stood a few steps away from her with her hands in her pockets. She lowered her face and darted her pitch-black orbs at Qu Yan. Her warm gaze made Qu Yan calm down.

“Qu Yan.”

Her soft voice rang and Qu Yan raised her head before flashing her a smile. “Qingqing?”

“I rarely teach people, but Yu Xiangyang is already my second student. In such matters, I never joke around.” She glanced at Qu Yan and the insouciant smile she wore vanished, for it was Qu Yan’s first time hearing that serious tone. Su Huiqing continued, “You only need to know that my training method is far more terrifying than today’s training session. If you think that you can take it, then tell me.”

1“Of course I can!” Without hesitation, Qu Yan exclaimed.

Su Huiqing said nothing and only retracted her gaze. She took her school uniform that she hung on the pole and slowly wore it.

“You don’t have to respond right away” She tilted her head and chuckled before she regained her usual insouciant composure. “I will give you three days to think it over.”

With that, she bent down and picked up her bag. She then casually threw it over her shoulders and left in large strides.

Behind her, Qu Yan looked at her back view and sat under the tree in a daze for a long time.

“Are you sure the Yu Family gave this Qingqing?” Su Lun looked at a bunch of medicinal herbs placed in front of him and could not snap back to his senses for a long time.

Strange people comprised the Yu Family. The whole of Green City had never seen the Yu Family officially having good relations with another family before since they were low-key and mysterious.

To send a person something… It was the first!

Uncle Chen nodded his head. “That’s right. And the person who sent these medicinal herbs had a respectful attitude.”

Su Lun froze again.

The two of them were chatting when Su Huiqing came in.

She casually threw her bag on the table while she placed her school over her shoulders.

1“Grandpa, Uncle Chen?” Su Huiqing turned around and saw the two bewildered people. She had pondered momentarily before she squinted her eyes. “Is the Zhang Corporation trying to be a part of the International Association?”

If it was not because of the International Association, ‘Project S’ wouldn’t be around either.

Hearing her words, Su Lun snapped back to his senses. “About the International Association… That is indeed the highest goal that businessmen like us want to achieve. But it is a pity that after so many years, no one ever did. But Zhang Corporation seems to have much hope this time.”

Su Huiqing squinted her eyes and entered deep thought.

She tilted her head and looked at the medicinal herbs on the floor. She then calmly said, “Uncle Chen, please send those to my room.”

She was not in the least shocked. It was as though she was expecting such a package.

On the other hand, it shocked Uncle Chen and Su Lun.

After Su Huiqing had ensured that they sent the medicinal herbs upstairs, she proceeded upstairs as well. But before that, she turned to look at Su Lun and blurted out a promise in a serious tone. “Grandpa, please be rest assured.”

“Huh?” Su Lun was still caught in a daze.

Su Huiqing smiled and her fair fingers covered the sharpness in her eyes. She drawled, “One day, the Su Family will have a place in the International Association.”
