Chapter 37: Can We Meet Up?

Chi Yue immediately raised his head, and as he did so, the silver gun he just took out fell to the ground with a thud.

He looked at the person in a black suit in front of him and then had his eyes lowered. The man in front of him had one hand in his pocket, while his free hand played with a black lighter.

He stood straight.

Despite the casualness, Chi Yue sensed a dangerous aura exuding from him.

“What do you mean?” Chi Yue looked at him and his fingers dug into his palm. The casualness on his face instantly disappeared when he pursed his lips tightly. “Are there secrets kept about this matter?”

Yu Shijin said nothing. He merely darted his eyesight upward and then paused when his deep gaze landed on the white ribbon at Chi Yue’s wrist. “If you want to find out, follow me.”

With that, he turned around and left.

And never bothered Chi Yue again.

As he walked forward in large strides, he took out his phone and dialed a number. “After two hours, come to Green City Airport to fetch us.”

Behind him, Chi Yue pursed his lips while he stared at Yu Shijin’s back view until he was out of sight.

He took a step and followed him.

Green City.

A room in a villa.

“Young Master Yu is arriving soon. I don’t know if he found Chi Yue or not since he ended the call before I could even ask.” Chu Xuning stood up, but when he saw Xie Zhengyuan drilling his eyes on the computer, he leaned over. “A Life of Overturn? It is a low-level stock trading account, so why are you looking at it?”

Chu Xuning felt a little strange about it. Xie Zhengyuan had a stock trading account belonging to the International Association and he was a certified well-known stock trader with tens of thousands of followers, so why was he monitoring a small account so closely?

“Let me show you something.” Xie Zhengyuan lit up a cigarette and typed on the keyboard for transaction records. He explained, “Look at this. All these transactions are short-term trading. Since this morning, there have been nine transactions. The last transaction involved investing seven million yuan in the UT stock from the International Association. Selling the stock after ten minutes, the person earned four million yuan. Every transaction was made on the borderline and so it failed to attract the Stock Exchange Association’s attention. Does this tactic look like it’s done by a newcomer?”

With that, he slowly blew out a circle of smoke and leaned against the chair with deep eyes.

This tactic and method were too familiar.

He put out the cigarette and typed a sentence.[Can we meet up?]

Yi Zhong High School.

Su Huiqing kept her phone and casually leaned against the chair with one hand over another chair. Her eyes were half-squinted and she looked lazy enough.

Who would ever think that she was the rumored useless piece of trash, Missy Su…

The casual transaction she made earlier earned her close to a billion yuan!

3The school bell rang.

Su Huiqing carried her schoolbag, and after waving Qu Yan goodbye, she kicked her chair and left.

2That day, she had to attend the predecessor training class. Professor Xie said that he had no time on Saturday, hence he rescheduled the lesson to Friday night.

After she had proceeded downstairs, she spotted Yu Xiangyang waiting for her with his school bag.

Su Huiqing carried her school bag on one shoulder and lazily walked towards the school gate.

Since she hadn’t zipped her school jacket, the wind blew on the hem of her jacket and exposed her white blouse. Under the sun, her face reflected a faint glow of light.

One thing was said right, the world revolved around good visuals.

After the incident at the cafeteria, most people had changed their impression of her. They might not like her, but the disdain towards her was no longer there. After all, a few people could only say hurtful things to such a beautiful face.

“Seeing that things don’t even bother her, she probably isn’t aware that Su Corporation’s stock price fell again.” Not far away, Cheng Yue stared at Su Huiqing with a glum expression. “A useless good-for-nothing is indeed one. She probably isn’t also aware that most shareholders of the Su Corporation have left.”

Shen Anan lifted her eyes and stared at Su Huiqing. “You are all my friends, so whoever is collaborating with the Su Family, quickly dissociate yourselves from them. On Monday, brother Mingxi will open a press conference and discuss Project S…”

6As she saw the girls nodding their heads, Shen Anan stared at that disappearing figure within the crowd and a devilish glint filled with mockery flashed past her eyes.

1

The Predecessor Training Lesson.

1Xie Zhengyuan held a lecture about a famous case and thoroughly analyzed it for the class—Zhang Mingxi and Shen Anan listened attentively.

As he went on to the next slide, his gaze turned towards the last row.

The girl lazily leaned against the chair and wore an icy smile.

He had heard about the news that Su Corporation’s stock prices kept falling for nearly a week already and that a few large collaborative projects were on hold. They could neither fill up the gap in the funds nor find external investors.

Everyone was waiting for Zhang Corporation’s press conference because, after that, the Su Corporation would have to file for bankruptcy.

Xie Zhengyuan thought about what Su Huiqing wrote that day.

His eyes deepened.

Only economists would recognize that line of words. That was Su S’s summary towards that case file, and she even wrote it with the special language of the International Battlefield.

Hence, when he saw that line of words, it baffled him.

He could not say much about Zhang Corporation and Su Corporation’s conflict, but he did not believe that Su Huiqing would do nothing at all.

He casually said a few more words before keeping away the U-disk and left.

“Professor Xie.” When Zhang Mingxi saw him leaving, he quickly caught up with him.

Xie Zhengyuan’s hand was on his car door when he turned around to look at Zhang Mingxi. “Young Master Zhang, what is the matter?”

“I want to officially invite you to Zhang Corporation.” Zhang Mingxi took a deep breath and said, “Someone said that he was willing to accept you as his disciple and help you be at the pinnacle of the International Financial Center…”

“He said his name was Kyle.”

Zhang Mingxi took out his phone and shared his phone screen with Xie Zhengyuan. “His phone number is the one at the top. Please confirm it.”

He waited for Xie Zhengyuan’s reply. Before he came over, he had expected the kind of reaction Xie Zhengyuan would have. Shock, disbelief, elated…

But he had never expected… him to be so calm!

Xie Zhengyuan raised his head and stared into Zhang Mingxi’s eyes with a calm expression. “I don’t have to confirm it. I believe that it is indeed Mr. Kyle’s number. Although he has excellent qualities, I have to decline that offer.”

2He pushed the phone away and got in the car and started the engine.

Before he left, he rolled the car window down and chuckled towards Zhang Mingxi. “Did you know that if the number belonged to Su S, all the financial analysts in the International Association would fight to accept the offer and not just me? But it is indeed a pity that it was not.”

1The International Financial Center had long changed its set of laws.

Even if that person was dead, they could not easily change those laws.

Not far away, Yu Xiangyang looked at Su Huiqing with his hair standing on its ends. “What are you laughing at?”

“I’m laughing at a ridiculous matter,” Su Huiqing said as she casually placed her school bag aside.

She placed one hand on the car window while the other held her phone to open the stock trading application.

She pulled her hair before she slowly typed in a reply word by word.[Tomorrow, ten o’clock. Time Cafe in Green City.]
