From that day on, Francesca's attitude changed completely. She no longer saw herself as the daughter of the Grandle family and only saw herself as Francesca. She was trying to discover herself all over again.

Life at the academy began to go smoothly for Kana and her family. The new friends they had gained flourished new deepening ties allowing them to settle in quite nicely. A few months passed in a blink of an eye, and Kana was having one issue. She did tell Fancesca to find someone who would love her wholeheartedly, but that did not mean she wanted to be the target of that affection! "Francesca, please let go. My husband will kill you."

"Look, your husband is fine. Even if he is glaring at me with strange black smoke coming off his body he isn't doing anything." Francesca hugged Kana's arm. It had been like this ever since that day. Francesca had basically attached herself to Kana and would not let go. While she was not doing anything weird, she did have a habit of hanging on to Kana's arm and following her everywhere.

"He is not fine!" Kana pulled Francesca's arm off hers and walked over to Creige and kissed his lips.

Francesca sighed as she pursed her lips. She stood at the side and waited for Kana to stop being lovey dovey. She did not feel jealous at all of Kana being intimate with her husband. In truth, she had no idea what love was. She was projecting her idea of love onto Kana and was now kind of a lost lamb.

Kana also knew this, which was why she was putting up with it. She herself was not the best at explaining what love was, but she has told Francesca that if she was truly in love with her that she would not be able to return those feelings as she would only ever have one love in all of her lifetimes and that was her Handsome Husband.

Francesca said she understood, but she still stuck to Kana like glue. At the very least, her reputation seemed to be turning around a bit. Although it seemed some new rumors about her trying to steal Kana away from her husband had started to fly around.

But rumors were just that. No one dared to say anything to either Kana or Franesca. Even those who did not know who Kana was would not dare say a thing because anyone who could handle Francesca was definitely not someone they should mess with.

"So, what do you plan to do with that?" Creige asked. He was staring daggers at Francesca.

"I am responsible for her since I took her away from her family, so she has no one else to rely on but me. While it may be a bit annoying, try to put up with it for now, please. I already told her nothing will happen between us, but she seems to feel insecure since she has no backing anymore." Kana answered in a lower whisper. She made sure Francesca could not hear her.

"I see…. You are truly too kind. But then again, this is just how you are. You can't leave people alone." Creige sighed as he kissed Kana's forehead. "I will try to put up with it, but she needs to know her boundaries."

"Understood!" Kana also agreed with this. She turned to Francesca and said: "Francesca, from now on, do not hang on me all the time. We can still hang out and do things together, but always hanging on me is not good."

"Okay. I understand." Francesca nodded her head. She figured this would happen sooner or later, but she did not have the right to try to push the issue as she was kind of pushing herself into Kana's private life.

"Mmm! Good child. Here candy." Kana took out a stick of honey glazed meat and handed it to Francesca. The honey was caramelized onto the meat, making it seem like it truly was candy.

Seeing the shinty meat stick, Creige held his forehead. He really wondered where the hell she got such a thing! "Where did you get that?"

"This?" Kana grinned and took out another one, and passed it to Creige. "I got it from Kate. She is a really good cook. I asked if she could make my meat taste like candy, and she did! So I gave her a bunch of meat to make me a bunch! Of course, I paid her as well."

"Ah, right. I remember Kate fainting on the floor that night when you pulled out a treasure trove of gold and poured it in front of her." Francesca chuckled. She actually enjoyed this honey glazed meat. It was quite good.

"For some reason, I can definitely see you doing something like that. You never cared too much about money anyway. You probably have tons of it by now, right?" Creige asked as he gently wiped the corners of Kana's mouth.

"Hahaha! I got so much I could probably fill a few of these islands." Kana replied with a light hearted laugh. She munched on her honey glazed meat until it was gone before looking at the one that was half eaten in Creige's hand.

"You got more, you do not need mine." Creige did not know whether to laugh or cry. This girl's priorities were meat first, family second, and everything else third.

"But it will taste sweeter because it's been in your mouth." Kana took out another honey glazed meat stick and said: "Trade!"

"Haha! Cute," Francesca couldn't hold it in. She smiled brightly at the scene in front of her. That was because this side of Kana was a side she did not get to see. "I think I understand what you mean a little about love."

Kana turned and looked at Francesca and tilted her head. "Oh?"

"Mmm… My feelings for you are more of reliance. I never relied on anyone really before outside my family, but now that family wants nothing to do with me, now that I left. But you have not pushed me away even though I was being annoying and attaching myself to you. I see you as a sister, someone I can rely on. But I do not have those kinds of feelings where I could do what you are doing. That is what love is. At least I think…."
