1167 Kana Goes To School Part 2

Rachel stood in front of the class. Next to her was a young girl with a beautiful dress on. "Today, we have a new friend who will be joining us. This is Kana. Please be kind to her."

Kana bowed her head slightly as she said: "I will be in your care." Kana looked up to see the whole class staring at her in silence. She did not know what to say. She felt kind of awkward being under their gazes. This silence did not last long when she heard a girl suddenly say: "Cute…." "Too cute. What is this!? Mrs. Rachel, why is this girl so cute!?" A boy suddenly yelled out. His cheeks were red as can be.

"Sometimes, people are just cuter than others. Anyway! We need to continue class. Kana, please go to your seat. It's the empty one by the window. You will be sharing with Nikkie." Rachel pointed to the desk in the back. It seemed everyone had a deskmate, which Kana found novel. She walked over and sat down. She looked at her deskmate, who was staring back at her, and smiled. But she did not expect her new deskmate to cry out: "Please don't smile! I might die!"

"Nikkie! We are in class!" Rachel held her head. She did not know what to do with these kids.

"But, Mrs. Rachel, Kana is too cute. If she smiles, I will melt!" Kana had filled out the past month and now looked like a normal girl for her age. But this made her already cute features even cuter when she did since now she had two chubby cheeks that made people want to pinch them.

Kana smiled at the little girl's antics. She leaned over and whispered: "If you melt, I will make sure to scope you up so you can pull yourself together later on."

"I will be counting on you!" Nikkie whispered back. She looked at Kana and grinned. She was happy to know Kana was such a nice person.

"Alright, turn to page ten in your textbooks. Nikkie share with Kana until she is issued books." Rachel liked how kids shared desks with one another. It made it so people could interact with one another and promote social behavior and teamwork.

Nikkie took her math book out and placed it in front of them so that the two of them could look at it. She then whispered to Kana: "If you do not understand anything, let me know I will explain it."

Kana smiled and nodded her head. "Okay." Although she said this, she felt that she would be the one giving Nikkie help from time to time.

"Now, can anyone answer this question?" Rachel looked around the class before her eyes landed on Kana. "Kana, can you answer this question?"

"Sixty four," Kana answered without much thought.

Rachel was stunned. This was something she had added in to show that fractions were easy. She planned a whole lesson around this, but… Rachel looked at Kana and let out a long sigh. "Correct….. Now, Kana, can you come to the board and explain how you answered this?"

"Sure." Kana got up, and under the watchful eye of her classmates, she walked to the chalkboard and began writing everything out. As she did, she slowly explained things to the class so that they could understand her method. When she was done, she looked at everyone and said: "While this might seem very confusing, as long as we do things one step at a time, the answer will come. Any questions?"

As soon as she asked this question, everyone in class raised their hands. Rachel, who had been forgotten about, had never seen her class so involved in learning. But she had to admit the way Kana explained things and how she went about teaching was really easy to understand. She felt that she, as a teacher, really needed to go back to school! She did not stop Kana as she went to sit at the side. Kana really knew what she was talking about, and even she was learning something new.

Kana taught the entirety of math class, going over each question each student had with patience. She did not get mad if they did not get it right. She slowly taught them. The entire math class, which was two hours long, ended up being one of the most productive classes in the school's history.

"Kana, you are truly amazing." Rachel praised as she finally got up from her seat. "You can take your seat." "Okay. And sorry…." Kana realized she kinda took over the class and felt bad. Rachel smiled and shook her head. "No. I should be thanking you. I even learned something today."

Kana nodded and went back to her seat, where Nikkie hugged her arm and began rubbing her cheek on Kana's shoulder. "Please let the gods of learning wear off some of your knowledge onto me."

"Hehe." Kana let out a laugh and poked Nikkie on the forehead. "I spent a lot of time studying. I am not a god of learning." She was the Goddess of Oblivion, though. Of course, she would not say this out loud since no one would believe her anyway.

"Just let me try my luck." Nikkie refused to let go, which made Kana laugh more. She smiled and patted Nikkie's head, which put Nikkie in a relaxed mood. Kana had hundreds of years of head patting practice, so she had long gotten good at it.

"Take out your history books!" Rachel began the next lesson. This time, Kana was listening intently since she was not all that good at history and did not wish to disappoint Jay and Gina with bad grades.

After history, there was lunch and recess. After that, it was science, which Kana ended up teaching once more. Classes continued until, finally, the day came to an end. Nikkie had become Kana's little fan and refused to let go of her arm. Even as they walked out of the building, she was still hugging on to it for dear life.

"Nikkie, let her go!" Nikkie's mom yelled out.

"No! I can't leave my goddess of learning, or I will go dumb!"
