Kana felt even more worried than before now. She knew Creige is powerful, but she still couldn't help but worry for him. Sighing, she turned and looked back down the tunnel towards the entrance before continuing on. She decided she would trust Creige's judgment and concentrate on the task at hand.

On the girls' side, the three girls were slowly making their way down the tunnel. Angelica had taken the lead with Rain and Yana two steps behind to her left and right. Aruya was right behind them, scanning the area. She was making sure she noticed anything strange before the girls did. So far, it had been clear sailing. It was not known if the people who were using this as a base feared intruders or if they just didn't think anyone would ever make it this far into the swamp to get to them. Whatever the case may be, the girls, Kana, and Creige were about to find out if they were guarded enough to expect visitors.

"It smells bad in here..." Rain held her nose. She had the most sensitive nose out of the three. So anything that smelt off, she would be the first to pick it up.

"Here." Yana pulled out a small container. She opened it and scooped out some of the green cream from inside. She then dabbed it underneath Rain's nose. "This should help."

"Yana, love you!" Rain hugged Yana. She was truly suffering. Even her eyes were watering up from the stench. Yana also dabbed some on Angelica, Aruya, and herself.

After about an hour of following the passage, they finally came to an open room that had glowing rocks placed around the room to light it up. The room was big with nothing inside it except a wooden door on the far side. "Seems to be the only way to go. Angelica, do you sense anything off about this room?"

"Not yet, but let's avoid walking through the middle of the room. If we rush ahead, we are more likely to set off any traps that might be there. We will hug the walls and make our way around." Angelica had scanned the room many times, but she still felt off about it all.

The whole room was made of stone, but the ceiling was too high to actually see it. The dim lighting was unable to reach that high. But drips of water could be seen falling down from the pitch black darkness above. This was why Angelica came to the decision that it was safer to hug the walls where they could easily keep a close eye on the surroundings than to walk straight down the middle.

But even with this much caution, it was not enough. She still kept her hand on the wall, tracing it up and down, checking for anything out of the ordinary. She wanted to be sure there were no trap doors or anything that could separate them. Her main goal was to make it to the enemy and take them out and meet up with their Mama and Handsome Papa and prove to them that their daughters are no longer weak little kids that always needed to be protected.

On Creige's side, he looked at the door in front of him that was at the end of a narrow path and pushed it open to find a stairwell leading down. He frowned when he smelled the air of death down below. This was not like the death element. This was the smell of dead bodies, and with it, something else.

He made his way down to the bottom of the staircase and was met with a well lit room that was dyed red in blood. "Hmmm?" Creige did not move any farther forward. He could sense something was off about this room, and a sense of danger filled him. He looked across the room and saw a few metal cell doors lining the walls. There were at least ten of them. He also picked up a familiar scent coming from one of the rooms. "So she is being held down here. Before I get to her, I should try to figure out what to do about these things...."

The danger he sensed was not some huge monster or a powerful foe. But something much worse than that. It was a swarm of blood beetles. These things were small beetles that thrived on blood and swarmed in the millions. They were a strange species that could not be stopped by armor or barriers. They flew right through them and devoured their target in seconds. There were nasty insects, and many of those who dabbled in the dark side would like to raise them to protect their lairs. "Looks like I have my work cut out for me…."

While Creige was trying to deal with bugs, Kana was currently hiding behind a pillar. She had entered a large chamber where people in black cloaks were having a meeting. "I swear someone set off the magic sensor!"

"If they set it off, why are they not in the hut!?"

"How would I know!? After all these years and people we have kidnaped, has my magic formation ever failed!?"

"He's right. We may have just stumbled upon someone who is unaffected by the formation. Even if they are unaffected, the chances of them finding this place is zero to none."

"When will we hold the next tests?"

"We can't. That damn man is still alive and kicking. He keeps mumbling about his daughter. Ever since he broke free, he has held himself up in the lab and won't let anyone get close. What the hell did you inject him with to turn him into that? We can't even get close, and we can't kill him!"

"It was test tube number eight. You people are the ones who make the concoctions! I just inject it. Why are you blaming me for your own creations."

"Alright enough! We need to wait until the others are healed. Is that fox man still chained up with the negnite?"

"Yes, but no one dares go near him. Even with the negnite he can kill us with a single look."

"Then leave him to rot. Our biggest issue is getting back into the lab when the rest are healed. We will move in and subdue that failed experiment."
