With a future filled with blood and a new mindset to get herself through this world, Kana walked back to her courtyard with Ako. But within Moon Crest Academy, the sounds of teacups could be heard being smashed on the ground. "Those idiots! I told them not to attack her and just politely call her over. Not only is that idiot dead, but so are four law enforcement disciples! How am I supposed to explain this to the Elder Ye?"

The girl in black standing next to Wen Zan, eyes flashed slightly with a cold light. But this slight change in expression only lasted for a split second. Wen Zan did not notice it. "Min'er, what do you think?"

"I think Master should go into seclusion for the time being. If anyone asks, I will say you have been in seclusion since the day before. This way, you will not be linked to anything." Min'er replied.

"Mm… This is a good idea. With the death of so many outer sect disciples and law enforcement disciples, things will get crazy around here." Wen Zan agreed with this. He also felt this was the best choice. This way when the elders came to ask him about it he could pretend he didn't know.

"Then, I will go out front and protect you while you cultivate," Min'er said these words before walking out of the immortal cave.

Wen Zan watched her leave, shaking his head. "As cold as ever." Min'er was a slave his family bought him when he was younger to look after his needs, but since a young age, she had always been very cold. She was like a block of ice that never melted. She had undergone special training in order to protect him and do tasks that needed someone to walk in the shadows. While she was known to be his slave by many, most did not know what she could do. He confided in her since they had been together for so long. She was a smart girl, so she had helped him a lot.

"Now then. I guess I will cultivate until the elders come." Wen Zan stretched his arms and left the room to go cultivate in his spiritual qi gathering array. He did not seem to care one bit about his brother's death.

Kana had just entered her courtyard when Liu Na and Mei Ling came running over to her: "Kana! Are you okay?"

"Mmm… Nana, you won't need to worry about anyone trying to attack you for a while since I will be the one they will be looking for." Kana wiped her cheek that had blood smeared across it.

"Kana, you didn't kill them, did you!?" Liu Na asked. Worry was written all over her face. Those four were from the law enforcement hall of Moon Crest Academy, they were always tyrannical and did as they pleased, using many different excuses to take people in and beat them for no reason. Even the elders of the law enforcement hall were always doing some kind of shady business. It was an open secret within the sect, but no one talked about it because the leader of the law enforcement hall had a special background. Because of that, he could do whatever he wanted. Since the leader was tyrannical, so would their subordinates.

"Yes. I did so on purpose. To leave a message to whoever was behind all this that I am not afraid to kill." Kana patted Liu Na's head then did the same to Mei Ling before walking towards the entrance of her house. "Let's rest. The two of you will stay here with me for the time being. Don't go out. We will wait and see what happens now."

"You brat! Wait and see what!? Do you know the life crystals of four law enforcement disciples broke not too long ago!? Word is everywhere that a girl with two sets of wings and horns killed them!" Elder Ning slowly landed in Kana's courtyard.

Kana turned and snorted at the old man. "So what? They asked for it. The whole thing was a trap. I do not know if their aim was Liu Na or what, but they used her and surrounded her. I will not let people touch my friends."

Seeing Kana's stubbornness, he wondered where the smiling girl from before went to. He wondered if going into the dreaded ground was the right choice. "Don't worry about it. I will think of something. But if you join the sect next year, you may be targeted."

Kana smiled and shrugged. "Then let them target me. What good will it do them? I am not an easy target. I have already decided on my dao path, and sadly it will be filled with the blood of those who wish to harm me or my friends. I don't care if it is just simple words or scheming behind the scenes. They send one, I kill one, they send two, I kill their entire bloodline. You might not want someone like me in your sect."

Hearing Kana's words, Elder Ning became nervous and thought Kana was not going to try to join the sect next year. But luckily, what he heard next let him let out a sigh of relief. "But don't get me wrong. I will still be joining. I am not allowed to run from my enemies. My goal is to get stronger faster, and the only way to do that is to cultivate and battle. The more I battle, the better but…. Sadly those four qi condensation cultivators were not very powerful."

Elder Ning dubbed his temple. He knew Kana was like a double edged sword but he was willing to gamble. If she really did grow strong and allow them to win the dragon festival. "Alright relax. I will try to think of something." He could only say this as he could do nothing else.. There was still so much time between now and the entrance test that he could only hope things will blow over until then.
