The battles continued until the first round of the bracket had finally come to an end. Tim and Sara won their matches with ease. Old Wen walked up onto the main battle stage. "We will now have a three hour rest. Then the second bracket will begin."

After making the announcement, Old Wen walked off the stage and headed to where his great grand nephew was resting after being so badly beaten by that slime girl. When he entered the room, other disciples of his sect were there as well. "Leave!" Old Wen used his spiritual pressure to threaten the disciples, causing their faces to pale and quickly leave the room. "Little Tou, you can't win against that slime girl."

"Great grand uncle, I know. I already plan to forfeit at the start of the match." The young man known as Tou, expression was not good. While healing pills had allowed him to quickly recover from his injuries, the beating he took was still fresh in his mind. He was just a helpless little lamb with no way of defending against that slime girl. He hated it, but no matter how he thought about it, there was no chance of winning against her. She was just too powerful.

"Who said I wanted you to give up!? You idiot! Why would you go and lose face for our family by forfeiting? You forfeit, and I will kill you myself!" Old Wen yelled.

"But how am I supposed to beat her? She is too powerful. To be honest, I think she is even hiding her true power. She may even be stronger than you." Tou had a feeling that the slime girl was much more than she was letting on. He felt the whole family that arrived was off the charts when it came to their power. They seemed to all be in the foundation establishment realm but they were much more powerful than that. Especially the little demon.

"What are you whining for? Did I say I would send you in there unprepared? You just need to use this." Old Wen handed over a small needle. It was very thin and would be hard to spot with the naked eye.

"Great grand Uncle this is?" Tou looked at the needle and knew it was not ordinary.

"This is something I picked up from the poison clan. It is laced with a poison that is undetectable and only works on demonic beasts. As long as you stab her with this, she will lose most of her ability to move. It will give you time to dish out punishment. Just don't kill her. Otherwise, those old men in the sect master seats will not let either of us off. Just get back the face you lost." Old Wen did not dare to kill the slime girl, but he did not mind using these kinds of means to make it so his grand nephew could come out on top.

Tou looked at the needle for a few seconds before finally taking it. If he could regain some of his face the risk would be worth it, not to mention it is his own family member watching over the tournament.

Up in the stands, Kana furrowed her brow. She had been keeping an eye on Old Wen since he made a scene in front of her. So when she saw what he planned to do, she wanted to go and deal with it but still held back. She knew Ako could handle both of them and that the little needle wouldn't cause much harm, but she felt that Ako might go on a rampage due to it being poison. "Set Master, tell the others that Ako might kill Old Wen and his family member there."

"Hmm? Alright." The sect master could care less about Old Wen since he had no ties with him. He only cared about making sure no one bothered Kana. He got up and walked over to Sect Master Tian and relayed the message.

Sect master Tian sighed. "It's his own fault. I do not know what you know but what happens, happens. We will not say anything about it."

Creige looked at his wife's furrowed brow and asked: "What is going to happen?"

"The old goat just gave his nephew there a needle with poison on it. Ako might not be able to control her anger. But I will not step in. Ako can easily handle it even if she does get mad. She is not someone to begin attacking the innocent, so I am not worried about her attacking anyone else." Kana explained. Creige nodded his head. He was happy that Kana was not jumping in every time something happened. Ako, as well as his daughters, still needed to grow. Without some hardships, they would not be able to keep improving.

"Mama, can I just kill him now? I do not want to see Aunty Ako like she was in mystic realm." Yana asked. She had seen first hand Ako's anger and sorrow. The pain she felt.

"No. While I do not wish to see Ako like that either, Ako also needs to move on and not allow the past to weigh her down. So stay put unless it gets out of hand." Kana said as she leaned over Creige and patted Yana's hand. "Just keep a watchful eye just in case."

"Mm…" Yana nodded. Her Mama was right. Her Aunty Ako did need to leave the past behind her and move forward.

Down in the waiting area Ako sat behind Mei Ling brushing her hair. "Little Ling in the upcoming fights, be careful. Keep a look out for any foul play."

"Foul play?" Mei Ling asked. She did not understand what Ako meant.

"For people who might use underhanded means to win the battle. People are trying to get to the finals and win the match. Mainly because their sect's reputation is on the line so always keep a watchful eye on what is going on around you. Not just your opponents."
