Reincarnated as a Dog with System

chapter-164-30041322
Qin Hua at first didn't want to take the fight back to the rest of the group and where Su Yan's unconscious body was, but now she had no other choice except to rely on the cat's godly luck.
She simply couldn't think of any other route of escape.
[Sprint] [Sprint] [Sprint]
She ran as fast as she could and the seductive female ghost as well seemed to follow her, trailing close to her heels.
She didn't seem to care about Lu Chen or anyone else and only followed her. The others were left far behind in the dust as they could keep up with neither the ghost nor the wolf.[Fuck! What do you want from me, you lunatic ghost!] She panted and ran helter-skelter toward the hospital zone.
Soon the part of the ground filled with numerous holes came into her view and she was about to dive in straight when a purring sound came from nearby. Meowww...
[Yaaasss!]
[Coco! My darling! My savior! Come to me. Please.]
Qin Hua's tongue wagged as she was panting breathlessly and dashed towards the leisurely strolling tabby cat. Of course, the ghostly figure as well was right behind her.
Coco on the other hand was on a completely different page. The cat cutely smiled and lifted her paw, waving at Qin Hua.
[Don't you see what is happening dufus? How are you still calm?]At this point, she wouldn't mind if the creepy ghost even took interest in this lazy bum and they somehow switched places! Growl!
Qin Hua sighed and jumped slightly to land behind the cat as if she was literally using the small beast as a meatshield.
[Come on! Doesn't this look cuter than me? Take it. Take it.]
Meow?
[Cough. Cough. Of course, I would come and save you when I became stronger…]
Just like Coco, it looked like the soul-sucking ghost lady also did not approve this transaction.
Though her facial features were not as pronounced as her cleavage, Qin Hua could still see the apparent disgust on her face.
"Ewwww… So ugly... Take it away from me."
[Can I please deal with one crazy at a time?] Qin Hua sighed.
She felt her knees wobble as soon as she rested for a second. It looked like her stamina was dangerously low and whatever this person did earlier had also exhausted her.
Acting like she was simply messing around, she quickly summoned out the shop feature and purchased a health potion.
She didn't know what all damages the ghost woman did, but she knew that the health potion was godly enough to take care of everything… probably...
While the ghost was making faces of disgust at the cat, she quietly downed the health potion into her mouth.
Her eyes, however, continued to carefully observe everything that was happening.
Even though the ghost was playing around, she knew more than enough just how powerful that person can be. So she didn't dare drop her guard.
Just as she drank the potion, Lu Chen and the others as well reached the spot. They also seemed to be surprised at the weirdly calm and peaceful sight in front of them.
But suddenly the ghost's figure stopped moving and her playful expressions which were more creepy than flirtatious stopped as well.
[Fuck! This bitch is going to blackmail me again, isn't she?]
Qin Hua felt more energetic after downing the health potion so she turned left and right, trying to think of what to do before something happened.
She was already here with Coco. So where the heck is the godly luck? Almost nothing has happened until now!
[Did this person maybe have a change of heart?] She shook away that thought as soon as it appeared in her head.
The way the lewd ghost was staring at her didn't seem to have changed at all. In fact, it seemed even worse now for some reason?
[Ughhh…] Qin Hua was rendered speechless and she took a step back, dragging her paws on the ground.
And just as she moved, the ghost as well moved, her eyes still fixed on the wolf.
Qin Hua shivered from the undivided attention she was getting and she prepared to dive into a shadow and run away again as clearly the damned cat's luck was of no use.
"Halt!"
[Screw you, lunatic]
Qin Hua did not wait for her to engage and jumped into a shadow.
"Stop doggie. You! The potion that you just now drank, is it a health potion?"
Qin Hua was startled. [How could she possibly know this?]
"Hmmm… No, it is definitely a health potion, a top quality one at that. Just the aroma itself is so tantalizing."
"Tell me where did you get that health potion?" The melodious seductive voice sounded again and this time Qin Hua stopped.
Her lycan figure slowly backpedaled, walking out of the shadow.
This might be dangerous… but she wanted to know more about the mysterious nether realm and the system and clearly running away from this ghost was not something practical.
She couldn't even damage the thing.
Maybe she could do it if she knew any soul attacks or something like what the ghost used to suck the other people's souls but she didn't know anything like that right now.
Qin Hua growled. She decided to risk it. There was nothing else she could do anyway.
Growl! She snarled at the ghost acting as if she had no idea what the other party was talking about and was simply clueless and annoyed with the situation.
"Ah, that's right. You are a brainless pooch." The ghost leaned over and observed Qin Hua more closely. She stood still or rather floated in the same place for a moment before leaning back.
Qin Hua shuddered as she felt something pass through her body.
[Huh? What is this feeling?]
It was like she was suddenly naked in front of everyone even though she knew that such a thing was impossible as she had been running around naked for weeks now since she was a dog.
Weirdly, the feeling didn't last long and everything was back to normal in the blink of an eye.
"Tsk. Tsk. What a waste of time!"
[Huh? Huh?] Qin Hua felt a small ray of hope in the darkness.
[Is this lunatic finally giving up?] She gulped.
"Sigh…" The ghost crossed her non-existent arms, her figure now slowly but visibly beginning to evaporate.
"Sigh…"
"Sigh…"
[Arrgghh! Just stop sighing and tell me already. Are you leaving? What the hell is happening?]
"Why are you looking at me like that, darling?
"It's too late now…"
"It looks like you are already someone else's pet."
[What….?] Qin Hua shuddered. What the hell is this creep talking about? I am already someone else's pet?
She knew that she definitely couldn't be talking about Lu Chen or Su Yan… so was she talking about the system?
"Ahhhh! I missed out on such a cute puppers! Whatever!"
"I will be back when you have a litter of babies~~~ Then I can take my pick of the small cuties~~ Bye doggie!"
[Huh?] Qin Hua didn't even have time to get angry at the outrageous remark as the ghost or the presence in front of her completely faded away.
"As a small parting gift and a token of my love, why don't I help you advance in your rank… Good luck!"
"We will meet again, my darling~~"
Qin Hua breathed heavily and looked around. She couldn't believe her eyes but it really looked like the lunatic ghost was finally gone.
Nothing moved, including the trees and the plants, and the eerie silence returned once again.
"What happened? Are you alright?" Lu Chen was the first one to speak up. He saw that the coast was clear and he ran towards the black wolf.
Alex as well moved from her position. She looked very confused and used her feet to stamp around here and there on the ground as if that could ensure that the ghost was truly gone.
Xu Meilin and a couple of others from within the camp had by now sensed the disturbance and also came running out.
"What happened? Did we win?" Luo Zu excitedly asked.
"I guess so…?" Alex replied. She didn't know what else to think of this outcome. The bunch of them started busily chatting with each other, while Lu Chen still looked a little concerned.
Qin Hua didn't seem to be responding to him at all and he could tell that the wolf was worried about something. She kept blankly staring ahead without saying anything.
"Qin… I mean little white are you alright? Shall I call the elder? Do you need some medicine or herbs? Water? Food?" He had no idea what else to say.
Of course, he was obviously extremely curious about everything which had happened and he wanted to talk to her about all those things in more detail, especially the 'parting gift' part…
But he also didn't want to rush her. Once again, she was the one who had saved everyone including him and had done the maximum work. So he silently waited until she seemed ready.
