Reincarnated as an Energy with a System

chapter-1434
Tony gasped in surprise and quickly wrote down what Ning mentioned. "Monsters come from treasures with intelligence," he spoke softly as he finished writing.
Once done, he looked up toward Ning, waiting for more knowledge.
Ning looked at everyone clearly intent on learning more and continued. "The monsters that you see or hear about are defensive measures taken by the treasures to protect themselves."
"The 'monsters' are formed using the same mist that they absorb, which is why you always find them around them."
"The treasures don't make them to protect themselves from being stolen, they also use them to take them to better places where they can't be found.""That is one of the reasons why treasures are only found in the ocean and remote islands most of the time. It is because the treasures move to distant locations where they can't be found."
"And that is why you have to defeat these monsters before you can take the treasures away."
Ning looked at all of them and said, "Now comes the main point for everything I have said until now."
"I told you how treasures get stronger and how they form monsters to protect themselves. Now, it is time that you learn that just as the treasures get stronger, the monsters they have get stronger as well."
"As a result, the monster we are going to face today… is going to be a disgustingly strong one," Ning said. "Are you ready for it?" All three of the people suddenly showed a hint of fear on their faces. "What?" Tony asked. "The monster we'll meet today will be stronger?"
"Far stronger than any monster you can imagine," Ning said and looked toward Tim. "Stronger than that one you faced."
The other two looked at Tim, asking him what Ning meant. Tim explained what the situation had been back then and how he had nearly died.It had only been because of Ning that they had come out alive there. If not, an entire treasure-hunting crew with dozens and dozens of people with rifles would have died that day. The captain who owned 2 Zurin treasures would have died as well.
"But it should be fine," Tim said quickly to calm the other two from getting scared. "Sir Ning will save us."
Tim still remembers that day. He had opened the umbrella for a second to protect himself. When he had put it down, Ning stood in the sky, flying up high, and the monster that had nearly destroyed all of them was dead before Tim could even know it.
Tim explained part of what he knew about Ning to the other two, and both Jasmine and Tony gave surprised looks toward Ning.
"You don't have to look at me that way," Ning said. "Also, I was going to wait for someone else to notice it, but since none of you seem clear-minded enough right now, I'll help you."
"What do you mean?" Jasmine asked.
Ning gestured with his chin behind them, pointing toward the screen.
All 3 of them turned to look at the screen behind them and everyone gasped as they saw a pure gray screen with nothing visible.
The only thing that could be said to be visible on the screen was nothing but mist.
"Mist!" Tony screamed with absolute confusion. "Underwater? How is this possible?"
"How far below are we?" Tim asked.
Ning looked at the screen next to him. "3.4 kilometers deep," he explained. "This is the average depth in the ocean. There are places that way way deeper than this."
"Wait, 3.4 kilometers. How the hell is there still mist here? How is there mist in the water? That makes no sense!" Tony shouted.
"I told you," Ning said. "This mist isn't normal. It is simply the energy that the treasures take in to improve themselves."
"Then… is there a treasure nearby?" Jasmine asked.
Ning nodded. "And a monster," he said. "Look out, we'll soon come close to it."
From time to time, the group could still see parts of the structure built by the corals on their way through the underwater.
All 3 of them realized that they could see what was outside because their treasures were repelling the fog upto a certain distance from the submarine.
Tony looked at his watch and saw a red screen appear on it.
Tim took out his Horn of Dominance and blew on it loudly. Instantly, he was transported to a world of darkness with motes of light flying around him.
All except a single one which looked like a blazing star. He all but understood that this giant blob of light he saw was no one else but Ning.
He didn't understand why that was Ning, or why there wasn't anyone else in this place, but he understood that it was Ning, and if he tried to, he could maybe dominate him too.
Only it would take too much out of him. Perhaps, enough out of him to kill him entirely.
Tim shook his head and didn't do it. Instead, he searched for the aquatic creatures that would be around him and quickly found a large fish that could aid him.
The fish swam to the front of the ship, turning back to look at the ship, which Tim saw through the screen.
"I'll send the fish forward to make sure we don't come across any problem on the way," Tim said.
Ning shrugged. The submarine was perfectly capable of traveling underwater despite the fog, but he wouldn't stop the others from doing what helped calm them down.
Jasmine had nothing to do, so she only moved close to Ning and remained by his side. "You can protect us right?" she asked.
"That much you should not doubt me," Ning said. "If I couldn't protect you, I wouldn't have brought you here in the first place."
The submarine continued on its journey and Tony looked at his watch as the time for when it warned Red was coming closer.
"Heads up," Ning said. "It's coming."
