Ning, Tim, and Jasmine rest walked on ahead over to where the guards were standing.

The woman next to Jacob took a step forward and spoke. "I am Colonel Jane Wilder, head of security in the Black Forest. I hear that you have come to meet with Sir Zarius, is that correct?"

"I have indeed come to meet him," Ning said. "Not just meet either. I have come to invest in him."

Colonel Jane nodded. "Allow us to check you for anything harmful on you before we take you to Sir Zarius," she said. Three men walked up with metal trays after she spoke. "Any sort of weapon, treasure, or metal tools that can be used as weapons, you will have to place them here."

"You will not get anything back until the time you leave this compound again."

Tim and Jasmine hesitated, looking at Ning. Given the fact that their treasures were so important to them, they did not wish to hand them over at all.

"Do it," Ning said. "Don't worry about losing them. It won't be for long anyway."

Ning himself brought out a necklace from inside his clothes and put it on the tray, bringing out nothing else.

Jasmine and Tim looked at the necklace with a confused look. Ning never wore a necklace at all, so they couldn't understand why it was that he had one now.

Jasmine pulled out her ring, her pen, the vial that she had around her neck, and finally the small handbook, placing them all on the metal tray alongside a pouch full of gold coins.

Colonel Jane suddenly moved, causing Tim to pause all of a sudden. Jasmine quickly put her hand over her treasures, covering them. "What are you doing?" she asked, worried that the woman was going to steal her treasure."

The woman looked at Jasmine with narrowed eyes for a moment before looking at the tray in front of her. She brought out something from her back pocket, a small magnifying glass that she put up to her eye.

She looked through it, and immediately both her eyes went wide in shock.

"These… these are treasures," Colonel Jane said.

"Yes," Jasmine said. "And they are my treasures. You can't have them."

"I wasn't…" Jane didn't bother to correct herself. She looked at the treasures again, simply astounded at the number. 4 treasures.

Seeing a person with a single treasure was a rare occurrence even in her line of work. Usually, the only people with treasures were the overly rich people who could afford to buy one.

As for 2 treasures, that was simply impossible to come by for a person, much less ones they could use. Several rich individuals owned multiple Zurin treasures, but most of them were bonded and they couldn't use it. So, they mostly kept it in their treasury.

For the woman to bring the treasures here, meant that she could most likely use it.

That surprised the colonel more than anything.

"Who are you, miss?" she asked.

"Jasmine," Jasmine answered.

"Jasmine…" the colonel wanted more.

"Just Jasmine. No surname," Jasmine replied. "I'm an orphan."

That only went on to shock the colonel even more. It wasn't just her that was shocked either. The man holding the tray nearly had his eyes bulged out. The several other guards held similar looks too.

Jacob was stunned as well. He had spent an entire month with these people, and all that time he had thought of only Ning being a person of any value. He had not realized that the woman beside him was of perhaps an even higher value than him.

"Is there a problem? Have I done anything wrong?" Jasmine asked proudly. She could start to notice the shock in these people's expressions and that made her a little proud.

"No, no," the Colonel got a hold of herself. "Do you have anything else you need to put here?"

"None," Jasmine answered and moved aside.

Tim finally walked forward and took off his spectacles before placing them on the metal tray.

Once again. Both the guards holding the tray and Colonel Jane who had only noticed the spectacles after it was put down could tell that was a treasure as well.

Jane couldn't help but wonder how it was that these 3 owned more treasures than the entire group of people in the facility at the moment.

There were 6 in total by now, while there were only 5 in the facility.

Just as she thought that Tim brought out his necklace as well, placing the Whistle on the tray. Jane was shocked to see another treasure.

But Tim didn't stop there. He brought out the silver eyepatch, placing it on the tray.

Disregarding the stunned expressions from those around him, he unhooked the horn from where he had stuck it underneath his clothes and pulled it out as well.

Once again, the people were more than shocked to see another treasure come out from the young man.

Jane counted the treasures and there were already four of them there. Four from the young woman and four from the young man, neither of whom looked as though they were in their middle 20s got the Colonel feeling all sorts of feelings she had never felt before.

Tim wasn't done yet. He pulled out his Jewelry box next, one that he was the most reluctant to let go of. Still, believing in Ning, he placed it in the box.

Jane, Jacob, and everyone else around them were beginning to feel as though they were losing their minds.

A total of 10 treasures had been pulled out from the three people that they had never seen or heard of before.

Jane had thought Jasmine had a lot, but seeing Tim pull out a total of 5 treasures made her simply wonder if she was dreaming while awake somehow.

And yet, Tim wasn't done just yet. Finally, he pulled out the Calming Flute and placed it on the tray. He also pulled out a pouch of coins and placed it next to the flute, finally done with everything he owned.
