Reincarnated as an Energy with a System

chapter-1644
Ning read through the things quickly.
Unbreakable Undergarment was just that, an undergarment that was Unbreakable, or in other words, indestructible. However, even if the garment itself could not be destroyed, it did not do whatsoever to protect what was under it. So the only thing it was good at was not ending up naked after a dangerous battle.
Scroll of Fireball created a football-sized fireball that could be targeted at anything upto 20 meters away. Purchasing that gave Ning 3 scrolls he could use whenever he wanted.
Scroll of Minor Teleportation allowed anything within 2 meters of the user to be teleported upto 50 meters in any direction as per the user's choice.
The Minor Scrolls, from what Ning read, permanently improved the attribute of the host.Strength made them stronger and more durable, agility made them faster and improved their flexibility, and Constitution improved their physical immunity against sickness and diseases. As for self-healing, it improved the speed at which the host could heal.
From what Ning could determine from their description, the improvement for all of those was about 50% in each case. Ning wanted so desperately to purchase them all. Alas, he needed more points.
'I can't just waste them on whatever since I don't know what else could be useful in the future,' Ning thought. He could imagine this was what dragons felt like when they hoarded their wealth instead of ever using it.
The rest of the journey was rather uneventful.
The sky was dark when the carriage driver finally let them know that they had arrived at the city. The carriage dropped them all off and made its way to where the carriages were kept outside of the city.
Ning looked at the city, surprised to see a small wall outside of it. He hadn't expected to see a walled city. Neither Whitebridge nor Galebow had such walls.
"What is this city called again?" Shara asked. "Ternia?""I think so," Ning said. "Let's go."
Ning was quite hungry at the time. He had some snacks in the carriage, but he needed a proper meal.
Despite it being evening, the city glowed bright with torches and lanterns that hung around everywhere. The guards let people in one by one, either looking at some documents or taking in some money.
When it was Ning's turn, he handed some copper coins to the two of them and walked in.
The inside of the city was no longer dirt road, but cobblestone. The street was also separated into a main road and side paths. Carts and carriages rolled around the road, none appearing that extravagant.
These certainly didn't belong to nobles at all.
"Let's go find us a place to stay," Ning said and took Shara along with him as he searched for a tavern nearby. A tavern by the name of 'The Royal Henchman' was open and had room for the two of them.
The cost of it was also a bit cheaper, compared to Whitebridge. Ning paid for the room and for the meals for the night to be taken to their room.
There was a place for them to freshen up behind the tavern, so they did. All the dirt and muck from traveling along the dirt road came washing away.
Afterward, they ate their food, and after some time, went to sleep.
The next day, Ning decided they had journeyed for too long and needed to give their bodies time to rest. Instead, he would go around the city and see if he could find a place to gather some information.
If nothing, he wanted to see if he could find where he could find the next clue. Anything to hint at her identity would be godsent.
Shara wanted to see the city too, so they changed into their clothes and made their way through the city.
Ternia was not a very large city. Being a fortress city, it simply didn't have the size to be that big. This had most likely been nothing more than a place that the soldiers stayed in the defend the surroundings during troubling times in the past.
Ning noticed a few Spirits during this walk around the city, both Bound and Unbound and wanted to help them. But, he decided not to bother with them at the moment. He had his own task he wanted to do, and adding another quest to all the other things he had to do was not something he wanted at the moment.
They finally found a place that kept records of various things.
"Welcome to the Green Duke's Library. Would you like a helper?"
The man by the door at the reception area spoke out before Ning and Shara even had a chance
to see him. The man was a short man wearing some sort of military-esque uniform. It wasn't exactly a military uniform, but it appeared to be.
The man stood there with a giant smile on his face, waiting for Ning to respond.
"I'm sorry... helper?" he asked.
"Yes," the man said. "If you have trouble reading or finding books, our helpers will be happy
to help you."
Ning nodded. "Sure, I'll take one," he said.
"Great! That will be 30 bronze coins."
He had expected the place to cost money, but not this much. He wasn't even buying any books, just reading them here and leaving.
Reluctantly, he took out the coins. "How much if we decided to not take the helper?" he asked.
"20 coins," the man said. "Would you like to go in without a helper?"
"No, we'll take the helper," Ning said and paid. He needed to find a specific type of record and given how large the library seemed, it was a good choice.
"Right this way," the man showed them to the side and quickly motioned over someone from a nearby bench to come running.
A young man, slightly older than the current Ning came walking up to them.
"Take these guests and help them find whatever book they want to find, will you?" the man asked.
"Absolutely," the young man said. "Please come with me."
