Reincarnated as an Energy with a System

chapter-1674
Shara followed Ning's motions in the firelight, moving the spear ever so slowly to do exactly what he showed or what he said.
"Stab!" he said as he gestured to what she had to do with his own body. He didn't have a spear, but he did have a piece of stick they had found that he used to teach her.
Shara stabbed forward with both her hands.
"Hold."
Ning walked over to her nudged her right elbow up a bit and lowered her left elbow to the side. "Use your shoulders and then your entire body. That's where the power behind the stab comes from."He moved to the other side. "Now pull back."
Shara did as told.
"And back at ease."
She got out of her fighting stance, holding the spear next to her.
"Now, close your eyes and do what you just did."
Shara followed Ning's instructions and learned how to hold and use the Spear. She was getting used to the spear for now, understanding its weight, length, and balance.
After what felt like an eternity of training, Ning took the spear back."That's all for today," he said.
"What?" Shara looked at him. "I can continue still. I am not tired yet."
Ning nodded. "I'm sure you're not, but your body needs time to understand what you did today. You used muscles you haven't used in your life, so tomorrow, your body is going to ache so much that you will want to sleep in the cart forever."
"When you complain to me about it, then we will train."
Shara's eyes widened a bit. "You want to train me when I'm hurt?" she asked.
"I told you, it was not going to be easy," Ning said. "For now, go sleep."
Shara sighed and nodded. "I need to eat first. I am hungry."
Ning nodded and the two sat down to eat. The food was inside of Ning's inventory, which Shara was used to now. She was used to whatever nonsense it was that he got to with the system thing that he had.
Ning brought out the food and handed it over to her. What they ate was a heavily salted piece of fatty meat that seemed to have been cured and preserved for a long time.
It was hard to eat, with most of it being crumbly, but it had both the carbs and protein one needed, so they couldn't complain.
Ning's Inventory only had so much place, so they had to compromise with this travel food that was meant to give them energy and not be delicious.
Ning's stomach was still empty after eating that, but he knew he had eaten all that he needed to, so it was time to sleep.
The two of them got onto the cart and lay on the thick robes they had bought before escaping the city. With that, they could sleep without having to lay on the hard wooden floor.
The heat of the campfire somewhat radiated within the cart, making it just the right temperature for the two of them to fall asleep.
Ning woke to a sound and opened his eyes. He quickly got up, seeing Shara still sound asleep on the side. She was tired from the training last night.
He quickly got out and saw the sky lighting up to dawn. Nothing more than wisps of smoke rose from the campfire at this point.
He got out to see what the sound he had heard was from and noticed a single horse galloping in their direction. On top of it was a person he couldn't make out with the current light.
Ning took the end of the spear within the cart and held it, ready to pull it out should the need arise. He waited for the person to come entirely close before he decided whether to attack or not.
When the horse rider finally did arrive, Ning was surprised to find a woman atop it.
The woman wore split trousers, made specially for horse riding with thick clothing and her hair tied in a high ponytail.
The horse came to a stop close by and stopped. The woman got off the horse and raised her hand.
"Greetings, friend. May I ask where you are headed toward," she asked.
Ning looked at the woman closely, noticing her very feminine face but somehow her acts were so masculine. "South," he answered, saying no more.
"Great. I am heading south too," she said. "I need to go to Jameen for a job there. Will you be traveling by the city by any chance?"
"What if I was?" Ning asked.
"Oh, I wanted to ask if you could let me ride on your cart by any chance," she said.
Ning frowned a little. "You wish to ride in my cart? What's wrong with the horse?"
"Oh, she's just been running most of the night so she is a little tired. She needs rest, but I can't stop. So I wanted her to walk by herself while I rode in your cart."
Ning thought for a moment. The possibility of this woman being part of the people who were looking for him was low. There was an accent to her words that was different from those people. She was definitely not from the same place as them.
But then, she could also be a bandit. The chances of that were quite high.
"Ning?" Shara woke up to the sound of their conversation. "What's going on?"
"This lady here wants to ride with us, she says," Ning said.
"Ride with us?" Shara asked. "To where?"
"Jameen, young miss," she said.
Shara gave a confused look. "Where is Jameen?" she asked.
Ning shrugged and looked back toward the woman. "Truth is, we don't know where Jameen is. We're just headed south."
"Oh... Jameen is the next town over south," she said. "It's located at the base of the mountains of Lenes. If you continue going down this road, you'll get there in half a day."
"Unless you plan on diverting at any point, that is where you are going too."
