Rise of Humanity

chapter-803
A few days later, under Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s orders, Zhong Yue was assigned as the commander of Xian Tian Royal Guard and given full control over this army. The Xian Tian Royal Guard receive orders from no one except for Imperial Emperor Xian Tian and those who entered this army had to first swear an oath that they will shed every drop of their blood only for Imperial Emperor Xian Tian.
King Zi Guang proposed to Imperial Emperor Xian Tian to have Zhong Yue create a scroll that registered the many soldiers within the Xian Tian Royal Guard in it before sending it into the Heavens in Xian Tian Palace so that their names could be written into the Book of Life and Death.
No one could interfere with the life and death reincarnation within the Heavens. Thus, if everyone within Xian Tian Royal Guard were registered in the book, then their souls would be at the mercy of Imperial Emperor Xian Tian. Even if Zhong Yue had ill intentions, he wouldn’t be able to do anything.
But then again, even without King Zi Guang’s advice, Imperial Emperor Xian Tian also knew that he shouldn’t entrust Zhong Yue with full control of the army without any safety measures in place first.
King Zi Guang then suggested again, “My lord, though their souls are at your mercy, Yi Feng’s is not, you have to be careful with him.”“Any brilliant ideas?” asked Imperial Emperor Xian Tian.
“Simple.” said King Zi Guang, “The old rival of his in his previous life. That innate god is probably still alive so all we have to do is get in touch with him. If Yi Feng shows any signs of rebellion, we will threaten him with this innate god and force him to side with you.”
Enlightened by this idea, Imperial Emperor Xian Tian laughed happily, “With Zi Guang’s aid, my conquest is secured.”
Imperial Emperor Xian Tian summoned his second disciple right away and said, “Fu Shu, I will entrust you with this task. Head to the ancient universe and look for the innate demonic god Wu Dulang and hand this letter to him. This innate demonic god is a cunning one and he is Yi Feng’s enemy. Do not tell him anything regarding Yi Feng. If Wu Dulang asks, just tell him that I know his enemy, Li Yang, has been reborn.”
Fu Shu took over the letter and he left to fulfill his mission right away.
On the other side, Zhong Yue followed the order he received and after compiling the names of those within Xian Tian Royal Guard, he passed the compilation to Imperial Emperor Xian Tian. Beside Imperial Emperor Xian Tian, King Zi Guang was entirely shocked when he saw the 3,000,000 names on the scroll, “My king, this is too much. He must not have that many men under him! No one can predict what will happen with 3,000,000 Fuxis under his command!”
Imperial Emperor Xian Tian too, felt that this was too much and he asked, “Then how much do you think is suitable?”“Only 300!”
King Zi Guang said without hesitation, “But even 300 is a little too much for me! If they go out of control, they will turn into disasters in an instant!”
Imperial Emperor Xian Tian hesitated for a moment before he smiled and said, “However, if I give him only 300, it will make me look stingy and distrustful. How about this? Let him pick the best of the best among the 3,000,000 men, then filter a bit more and report back to me.”
After a few more days, Zhong Yue returned with the name scroll, “After a series of bloody filtering, these are the remaining human elites!”
King Zi Guang looked at the scroll and after realizing that 300,000 names still remained, he said angrily, “Too many! My king, make him reselect the army!”
Again, Imperial Emperor Xian Tian rejected the scroll and said, “What’s important is the quality, not quantity. Please choose your men carefully.”
Another few days later, Zhong Yue handed another scroll to which King Zi Guang made noise again after taking a look at it, “30,000 is still over the limit! My king, Li Yang is demanding too much! If he controls 30,000 Fuxi, he will definitely rebel against you and if they lost control, they would prove themselves to be a dangerous threat.”
“But 300 is just too little and what can you do with only 300?”
Imperial Emperor Xian Tian frowned and said, “He was, after all, an innate god in his previous life. It would be a waste and a humiliation if we only give him 300 men.”
“Then make it 3,000!” said King Zi Guang.
Imperial Emperor Xian Tian nodded and notified Zhong Yue to select 3,000 men into his army. However, fewer than two days later, Zhong Yue sent a message that said, “Your Majesty, no matter how good a cook is, this cook will not be able to cook if there are no ingredients. No matter how good a general is, he will not be able to win a war without any men. If the Xian Tian Royal Guard only has 3,000 men, I suppose King Zi Guang will be a better commander than me.”
“He’s angry now!”
With Zhong Yue’s promise to win him the throne at the back of his mind, Imperial Emperor Xian Tian looked at King Zi Guang and said, “He is unwilling to lead the army now and requested you to lead it! What do we do now?”
King Zi Guang frowned and said, “My king, this man is treacherous! He is trying to force your hand. He first asked for an unreasonable demand and now, he is now shamelessly forcing you to give in. Just ignore him and give him 3,000 men, I am sure that he will accept it.”
And the emperor replied, “So… if he really refuses the task, you’re going to take his place?”
King Zi Guang shivered right away and he refused and said hesitantly, “How about giving him another 2,000?”
Imperial Emperor Xian Tian nodded and gave the order.
But a few days later, Zhong Yue’s memorial to the throne arrived again and this time, it read, “8,000. Any less than that and Your Majesty will just have to look for a better commander who is able to produce results with fewer men. This humble servant here recommends King Zi Guang to lead the army.”
Rendered with no choice, Imperial Emperor Xian Tian said, “So… 8,000 it is?”
Though King Zi Guang still felt unhappy about how the situation turned out, since Imperial Emperor Xian Tian seemed to have made up his mind, King Zi Guang finally relented, “Fine. But my king, you must keep an eye on this Yi Feng at all times to prevent any unnecessary trouble.”
Imperial Emperor Xian Tian smiled and nodded before he said jokingly, “Yi Feng addressed me as Your Majesty, so why aren’t you?”
With a serious attitude, King Zi Guang said with no hesitation, “My king, you are not the Heavenly Monarch yet. Yi Feng’s calling you Your Majesty is just empty lip service. This is precisely what a treacherous subject does. They will try please you to get what they want and once they see no more worth in you, they will betray you and serve under someone else without hesitation. As your loyal servant, I will only change my address once you sit on the throne.”
Imperial Emperor Xian Tian was slightly disgruntled at his words but he did not show it. He then had the memorial returned to Zhong Yue along with the secret arts to lift the bloodline seal in the Fuxi bloodline. With that, Zhong Yue now had 8,000 men under his command, each of whom had half of their bloodline seal removed.
After receiving the final answer from Imperial Emperor Xian Tian, Zhong Yue let out a long breath; 8,000 was definitely out of his initial expectation as he definitely would have accepted it even if it was only 200 people!
I have to go through them all nicely and if possible, I will select those that have achieved the Six Path Reincarnation!
Zhong Yue gathered the Xian Tian Royal Guard around. The soldiers in Xian Tian Royal Guard were the gods among human but given the dire situation humans were in, the resources they obtained were pitiful. No matter how many times Zhong Yue counted, there were only a hundred that opened the sixth wheel, which was the bloodline wheel.
And achieving the Bloodline Wheel and achieving the Six Paths Reincarnation were two different things; among the hundred gods, only nine had achieved the Six Paths and unified Reincarnation.
These nine gods were all talented ones; with the disadvantage of humans, they managed to cultivate themselves to such levels where they were not weaker than those talented gods from other races with abundant resources.
Apart from that, there was even one of them that managed to cultivate the innate Qi, which was amazing.
“What is your name?” asked Zhong Yue.
The god replied, “Chi Song.”
Zhong Yue nodded but suddenly, Chi Song blinked his eyes and he said, “Commander, we Xian Tian Royal Guard, are the Imperial guards entrusted with the protection of the Human Sovereign. You must have your own unique skills to be able to become the commander. We would like to see your skills, commander….”
Zhong Yue was speechless and he said, “You do not wish to serve under me?”
“No no no.” said Chi Song, “But to become the commander, one must have the qualifications….”
“Understood.”
Zhong Yue smile and with a simple wave, six massive light wheels appeared before the 3,000,000 soldiers and he said, “Follow me into my reincarnation and we will discuss furthermore after exiting.”
With that, he turned around and entered his own reincarnation.
A few days later, Zhong Yue returned to the human’s Heavens while 2,900,000 gods remained trapped in his Six Paths Reincarnation as only about 100,000 managed to escape.
Chi Song bowed and said, “Commander, now that we’ve passed your test, can we see your capabilities for ourselves?”
Zhong Yue smiled and with another wave, the same scene repeated and he said the same thing, “Walk out from my reincarnations then we will speak.”
Another two more days, only nine of them exited from Zhong Yue’s Six Path Reincarnation and they were the nine gods that achieved the Bloodline Wheel with Chi Song being one of them.
“Now, can we?” asked Chi Song.
“Of course.” nodded Zhong Yue.
Happiness struck Chi Song right away and without hesitation, he charged and channeled energy into his weapon as he was planning to attack with his strongest spell, only to realize Zhong Yue stood there doing nothing.
Chi Song started sweating coldly and by now, his energy was charged to the peak but he just couldn’t bring himself to attack as he saw no openings in Zhong Yue even though Zhong Yue did not do anything.
After quite some time, Zhong Yue left the scene and Chi Song stood there, with his energy charged to the maximum level while he looked at where Zhong Yue stood previously.
This new commander of ours is truly outstanding.
After a long time, Chi Song recollected his thoughts and he sighed.
Meanwhile, Zhong Yue had selected 8,000 gods and assigned Chi Song and the other eight as captains of a unit. They were then taught the secret arts to unseal their bloodline and recovered half of their Fuxi bloodline.
With that, they experienced a surge in their power, awakening the divine third eye, Fuxi divine blood, Fuxi divine heart, innate dragon scales, and the Fuxi divine skeleton. Aside from that, Chi Song who felt confident challenged Zhong Yue again, only to be met with the same result.
Just like before, without being able to deliver even an attack, Chi Song sweated profusely and after a long time, he regained his consciousness after Zhong Yue left. With that, he no longer had any thoughts of challenging his new commander.
Zhong Yue on the other hand, gathered the 8,000 Fuxi and taught them techniques and arts, guiding their cultivating to the innate Qi. Time continued to pass by just like that.
Two years later, Zhong Yue looked at his soldiers and he said, “It’s time to see what you’ve achieved.”
Zhong Yue had Bo Di and the others summoned here and he said, “Only by engaging in real combat will they be able to improve quickly. The army here that I’ve been training still lacks proper experience so I am seeking you all for help.”
The happy Bo Di, Dong Ah, and the others immediately entered the army camp where they were challenged by the 8,000 Xian Tian Royal Guard.
After defeating about a few hundred gods, Bo Di was challenged by Chi Song. Initially, Bo Di had the upper hand, but the situation quickly turned after Chi Song activated his Fuxi True Form, even with Bo Di having activated his true form as well.
Bo Di and the others were awestruck and this prompted them to invite even more Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s disciple here to compete with them.
“My king! The 8,000 Fuxi’s strength are chasing up against your disciples. This is getting out of hand!”
As soon as King Zi Guang heard about Xian Tian Royal Guard’s strength, he immediately went to see Imperial Emperor Xian Tian and just as soon as he told the emperor about this, a memorial was handed to him by the emperor saying, “You’re too late, Yi Feng had reported this to me and congratulated me.”
King Zi Guang took the memo that Zhong Yue had sent and read it, “Congratulations, Your Majesty. Your humble servant lived each day carefully and worked hard to train your soldiers in fear that he disappoint Your Majesty. Fortunately, these young men improved quickly and they have become a trump card for Your Majesty should Your Majesty start a war.”
“Same thing but two different meanings. Interesting.” said Imperial Emperor Xian Tian, “You said that it’s not good and he said that this is something to celebrate. What should I do?”
This treacherous dog!
Thought the furious King Zi Guang.
