Chapter 846: Demon Lord, Demonic Nature

Zhong Yue was flabbergasted. The celestial and demon were elements in eternal conflicts, rivals since the birth of the universe, and especially so to the innate celestial gods and demon gods.

Whereas the innate gods were existences born from pure energy, they each represented a kind of pure Dao. How was it even possible for one to be an innate celestial and demon god at the same time?

For example, the moon god was born from all the wishes of living creatures; the sun god who was born from all the light and upright wishes; and the sun demon god was born from all the dark and evil wishes.

This was why the celestial and demon were fated to be irreconcilable, to forever be in eternal conflict since the birth of the universe.

It was general knowledge, a common consensus of all living creatures.

As far as Zhong Yue knew, there weren’t any innate gods who was a celestial and demon god at the same time.

But seeing Imperial Emperor Xian Tian standing before him, Zhong Yue couldn’t help but doubt all the commonly known general knowledge he had ever learned.

How exactly did Imperial Emperor Xian Tian come into existence?

Was he born from nature or from the worship of living creatures?

If he came into existence from worship, how would he be a half celestial half demon innate god? Would the living creatures’ wishes contain good and bad in balance?

And if he was born from nature, what kind of place would have the rules of celestial and demon coexisting together?

Furthermore, what was even more terrifying was the horrible air emanating from Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s demon god true form. His demon god true form cultivates a Dao of incredibly high class. Even its aura alone had been affecting Zhong Yue’s demon cultivation base to almost bow and kneel before it, urging him to pledge his loyalty to it!

This was a feeling that Zhong Yue had never experienced before!

A demon lord, he is a demon lord! Zhong Yue thought in disbelief.

The demon lords were the lords of the Demon Dao. There were 2 origins to it, the first was from the birth of the nature phenomenon. They could only come into existence from the lands of wonders of this universe. Since birth, the demon lords were equipped with the natural ability to achieve the Demon Daos.

Whereas the second kind of demon lord was much weaker, they were the demon gods that came into existence solely due to the worship of the living creatures towards the demon gods.

So which of the two was Imperial Emperor Xian Tian?

If he is an innate demon lord, then his other half must also be an innate celestial lord! This is the only explanation of he can remain the balance between the demon and celestial!

Imperial Emperor Xian Tian was satisfied to see the shock on Zhong Yue’s face and he smiled, “Mister Yi, do you still remember? I’ve told you the obstinate old brats in the ancient universe who follows the ancient rules stubbornly are bound to be left behind by time? The biggest reason I say so is because of me myself!”

His existence itself was solid evidence contradiction this long-held belief!

It was only now Zhong Yue had a glimpse of Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s biggest trump cards for the fight of the throne. One could reasonably assume that even the Heavenly Monarch didn’t know about Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s second half true body.

What the universe knew of the Imperial Emperor Xian Tian was only his celestial half, his other demon half was kept out of the public’s knowledge.

If Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s celestial true body and demon true body were merged together, just how strong would he actually be?

If he broke through to the level of Imperial Monarch, would he actually be able to easily kill Heavenly Monarch to death?

The only reason Heavenly Monarch hadn’t done anything vigorous yet was because he still had the confidence of defeating Imperial Emperor Xian Tian; thus, he wasn’t worrying too much and was only waiting to deliver a killing blow when Imperial Emperor Xian Tian made a wrong move.

However, if he knew Imperial Emperor Xian Tian was actually hiding half of his strength in the dark, Heavenly Monarch would’ve most probably taken action right away.

“The elements of celestial and demon innately coexist in me; thus, the celestial and demon are able to live together. This is proof that the ancient rules, those obstinate old geezers, and whoever else, they should all be thrown into the corner of the universe’s history!”

Imperial Emperor Xian Tian laughed, “My existence alone has destined the ancient universe’s defeat!”

Zhong Yue inhaled deeply and said solemnly, “Your Majesty, you are destined to lead, the incumbent Heavenly Monarch is no more than a thief sitting on your rightful throne.”

Zhong Yue wasn’t lying. As Imperial Emperor Xian Tian himself was a celestial and demon, there was a high possibility he could unite the two races under his lead. However, to do that, he would first need to have the title of Heavenly Monarch.

Furthermore, Imperial Emperor Xian Tian had his own ambition too.

All of a sudden, Imperial Emperor Xian Tian separated himself back into two, he left behind his demon half and laughed, “Mister Yi, you can stay and study here on your own. Once you are done, just walk out from here will do. The seals won’t block your way.”

Zhong Yue thanked the Imperial Emperor Xian Tian and then left. Then, Zhong Yue sat down in the lotus position and inspected Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s demon true body.

The Chaos Qi flows surround him, flowing in and out of his body helping him to cultivate the demon true body, cultivation base, and arcane energy.

The innate celestial lord, the innate demon lord, how did Mu Xiantian even come to be?

Zhong Yue couldn’t stop the cogs turning in his mind. Mu Xiantian was now suddenly far too terrifying for him to believe. If Zhong Yue really helped Imperial Emperor Xian Tian in his quest for the throne and if they really succeeded, would Zhong Yue still be able to usurp Imperial Emperor Xian Tian?

He calmed his mind and cast off the distracting thoughts and temporarily sealed off his sense of pain. Then, tens of thousand incarnations walked out of his body, flying up like a swarm of bees and before entering the various parts of Mu Xiantian’s innate demon true body.

“To the women!” There were some incarnations that cheered and rushed out.

Zhong Yue crushed the non-compliant incarnations and sat down the findings of his tens of thousand incarnations surged into his mind.

Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s demon true body was far stronger than the innate god in Feng Xiaozhong’s palace. His attainments were also incredibly abstruse. While Zhong Yue’s incarnations were studying Mu Xiantian’s demon true body, Zhong Yue immersed himself in Mu Xiantian’s demonic aura, trying to perceive Mu Xiantian’s body, mind, and soul.

Mu Xiantian’s demon true body was a demon lord, the number of Demon Daos he had cultivated was countless and also incredibly profound. Even though Zhong Yue had the help of tens of thousands incarnations as well as the divinatory calculation technique, it would still take hundreds or even thousands of years to fully comprehend them.

Yet, Mu Xiantian wouldn’t grant him that kind of time, so Zhong Yue didn’t have much time to waste.

He had to quickly cultivate the Innate Demon Dao, then find Goddess Shen Hou and cultivate the Innate Celestial Dao. Only by attaining these two Innate Daos would he be able to cultivate the Innate Yi Dao and breakthrough to the level of Heavenly Deity!

Xin Huo said that if I wanted to cultivate the Innate Demon and Celestial Dao, I would have to meet with the innate celestial and demon lord. The crux of it all is to ‘meet’ with them!

The ‘meet’ here wasn’t just to see ostensibly, but to reach out to the core, to perceive the innate lords’ essence and Daos with his own mind and soul.

Zhong Yue allowed his incarnations to study Mu Xiantian’s demon true body and he closed his eyes, carefully perceiving the demon true body’s essence.

In his senses, Mu Xiantian suddenly disappeared, and what was left on the spot was a demonic nature of high density. In it, he could sense the Dao hidden deep within.

Whatever kind of Demon Dao it was, they were all a partial representation of the demonic nature!

Zhong Yue reached out with his mind and soul, he tried to immerse himself in the demonic nature so he could see it and cultivate the Innate Demon Dao!

When compared to directly attaining the demonic nature, just studying and cultivating Mu Xiantian’s Innate Dao seemed much a lowly way to do it.

Suddenly, Zhong Yue had an epiphany, the tens of thousand incarnations fell to the ground, taking up lotus positions and around Mu Xiantian. They closed their eyes and perceived the demonic nature with their mind and soul.

The demonic nature was a bizarre subject to attain or even explain. It was a deep and dark spiritual energy that had no form but also every form. From the smallest sliver of killing intent and bloodlust in one’s mind, to the withering a plant, the annihilation of a race, the withering of a sun and planet, the disappearance of a galaxy, and the largest scale of the death of a universe—it was all just a representation of the cosmos’s demonic nature.

Understand it, and one would be able to cultivate the Innate Demon Dao!

Zhong Yue and his incarnations attained their own understandings in the demonic nature. Then, all of these understandings would flow back into his true self and be collated into a single unified comprehension.

As a result, countless destructive totem patterns had emerged in his Innate Demon Qi, they were formed naturally on their own without Zhong Yue’s intent. They were the totem patterns of the natural disasters like the totem patterns of the earthquake and tsunami, totem patterns of lightning and fire, the sun’s solarstorm, the starbursts, and many more kinds.

These destructive totem patterns were emerging on their own, moreover, they were gradually completing themselves as time progressed. Zhong Yue’s Innate Demon Qi was riching in power and foundation at an unimaginably speed, pushing nearer to the stage of Innate Demon Dao.

Zhong Yue was sitting unmovingly and so were his incarnations, surrounding Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s demon true body. They weren’t looking to attain the Innate Demon Dao he has, but the demonic nature in him.

Months flashed by and unbeknownst to when, the demonic nature in him had grown intensively and filled his heart with a strong desire to destroy everything he saw. As this rate, it wouldn’t take long before the desire took over him and he executed the destructive actions he has in mind!

All of a sudden, an incarnation of his muffled a deep groan of pain and agony, his eyes filled with madness and his heart taken over by the destructive desire!

“Kill!” He roared, leaped up from the ground in intense killing intent and rushed out.

With a change of thought, Zhong Yue has kept the infected incarnation back to him. The incarnation was fully taken over by the killing intent and has turned into a monstrous killing machine!

This is not the kind of demon I am searching for. What I want is the heart of a demon while retaining my own mind. I am a demon in complete control of my own actions!

As Zhong Yue thought about it, there were dozens of his incarnations that had fallen into darkness. Just as he kept the dozen of infected incarnations back to him, all the rest of his incarnations had suddenly plunged into chaos and lunged for him!

“Eat him, devour him, kill him! We will be our own masters!”

But Zhong Yue sat down unmovingly while attaining Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s demonic nature. At the same time, his incarnations were devouring his body and Yuan Shen into a rugged doll-like state in just seconds.

His atman was apart by his incarnations, his blood was drinken by them, and his flesh was devoured like a feast.

But Zhong Yue remained tranquil, a patch of meat lost would quickly recover, a part of Yuan Shen eaten away would be replaced by another new meat; even his blood was regenerating endlessly as if there was no end to it.

Soon, the ten thousand incarnations were full from eating him, they couldn’t take in anymore and shouted, “Kill all we see!”

As they finished, the incarnations rushed out and lashed their skills all over the place, ravaging the surrounding as they grinned evilly, “This universe nurtures the living creatures but never cared to treat them well, why still exist in the first place, just die!”

“It’s time to return, you are all me, but you have lost your minds to the demons; defeated and controlled by the demonic nature. It is impossible for you all to cultivate the Dao of the Demon. I want to know, when I return all of you back to me, will the collective demon nature in you take over my Dao heart? Will I lose to it?”

With just a change of thought, the ten thousand infected incarnations were returned back to his body!

If each incarnation was a kind of representation to the demonic nature itself, then ten thousand incarnations would mean ten thousand surges of demonic nature; each with own unique perspective.

As they were all returned to Zhong Yue’s body, the ten thousand demonic nature have erupted inside him and shuddered Zhong Yue’s body. He roared savagely like an ancient beast and his eyes turned completely dark with not even a glimpse of light seen in it!
