chapter-193
Soon enough, Misty slowly descended towards the gates of a decently grand mansion, and Damien loftily looked at the whole from above.
'The Lester Family…'
The guards who were keeping watch at the gates were surprised to see a huge bird descending towards the gates.
They wondered who was riding the bird as they weren't informed of any guests arriving today. They then thought it might be a doctor as the Lester Family were on the lookout for the best doctors to treat the 'condition' of one of their young masters.
When Misty finally landed, and Damien got on the ground, the guards were surprised to see such a grand character.Alchemist Azrael! Could he be here to treat young master Luke?
No matter how hard the Lester Family tried, the guards heard the rumors of how Valentina, the personal disciple of Alchemist Azrael, thoroughly wrecked almost every part of Luke.
Strangely, the Lester Family didn't show any signs of anger towards Valentina or file any grievances.
Most felt that the Lester Family was scared of going against Alchemist Azrael as they don't want to make enemies out of him. But the true reason was that the Clive Family had told them to keep their mouths shut.
They thought if Damien was here to treat their young master for righting the wrongs of his personal disciple.
Damien walked towards the guard and said in a cool tone, "I am here to treat your young master."
The guards bowed, "Sure, Senior Azrael. You can go inside. We have already informed them."As he entered the gates and walked towards the mansion's main door, he saw a middle-aged man clad in decent teal-colored robes coming out with a complicated expression.
The man spoke while trying to sound friendly, "Welcome, Alchemist Azrael. I am Nouel Lester. I can't be thankful enough for you to grace us with your presence. Please come inside."
Damien could see that the man in front of him was having a hard time acting friendly with him. After all, he was the master of the disciple who destroyed his son's future.
But at the same time, Nouel couldn't let out any feelings of hostility as he was aware of Damien's status and, most of all, the reason he was here.
The Clive Family even warned him not to pin anything on Valentina as Roy Clive had some conditions to fulfill for his spar with Damien.
For the past few days, Nouel had been feeling more frustration and anger than he ever did in his life. His most promising son had his manhood crippled by a girl. How shameful and disgraceful.
Now, which woman will even look at his son, or how will he ever lead his family in the future?
No matter how many best doctors he managed to summon, they all shook their heads and left. He even bowed before the Clive Family to help him out, but even they bluntly told him that Luke was beyond any help.
Nouel knew his son was the one who brought this upon himself as he heard how Luke tried to gang up on Damien, who was Valentina's friend.
But that did not mean he wanted to sit back and watch Valentina go scot-free. In his eyes, it didn't matter what all things his son did as he knew he wouldn't be here without dirtying his hands.
He himself had sucked up to the head of the Clive Family and did all sorts of things for him in the past. So, why should he blame his son for following suit?
However, he had no other choice and could only hope that he could find a doctor to cure his son.
He had heard how Alchemist Azrael also treated patients in the Rong Empire, and everyone went back to their homes with a happy smile.
How could he show any signs of resentment at the only person who could probably treat his son? And besides, it was his personal disciple who did the deed and not him. So, thinking of these things, Nouel tried his best not to show any signs of anger on his face.
Damien nodded, and as they walked, he said, "I know my disciple went overboard, but you also know that in the end, Luke also brought this upon himself, right?"
Nouel Lester gritted his teeth and said, "Yes, I know. But—"
Damien interrupted, "You have nothing to worry about. I am here to right the wrongs of my disciple, and I am confident that I can heal your son."
Nouel Lester's expression brightened up as he said fervently, "Really? Alchemist Azrael, I don't know how to thank you. I know your esteemed and magnanimous self need not even bother with us. But still, you came here for something your disciple did. Please ask us for anything, and we would gladly give it to you."
Damien waved his hands, "No need. I am here to correct the wrongs of my disciple, so it's my responsibility. I can't take compensation for that."
Nouel now had no feelings of resentment at all in his heart, and he started to look at Damien in a new light. His nerves were tingling with happiness that all these days of praying and waiting had finally paid off.
Just as they got inside the mansion, many maidservants greeted Damien, and Nouel said in a fervid manner, "Quickly show our esteemed guest to Luke's room and make sure to satisfy his every order."
All the maidservants gulped as they never saw Nouel being so zealous, especially when his son was bed-ridden for the past few days. Nor did they expect a grand character like Alchemist Azrael to visit them when his disciple was the reason for all this.
They hurriedly bowed in deep respect before Damien and said, "Please follow us, Senior Azrael."
Damien was led towards Luke's room as Nouel followed behind them. Inside Luke's room, he saw a bandaged figure who looked like a mummy with all the white bandages wrapped around his body.
Damien almost let out a chortle seeing such a comical figure, but he controlled himself. A woman in her forties was sitting on the bed beside Luke with a worried expression on her face as she looked at Luke.
Nouel said in a firm tone, "Ilena, move away. Can't you see who just entered this room?"
Ilena got startled as her complete attention was on Luke all this while. When she saw Damien, her eyes widened, and she quickly got up before giving a deep bow. She was informed why Damien was here and thought to look after her son while she waited for Damien.
She said with tears in her eyes, "Senior Azrael, I can't express the immense gratitude I have for coming to heal our son. I promise I will fulfill anything if you could please end our son's suffering."
Damien said in a confident tone, "You have nothing to worry about. With the heavens as my witness, I promise to end your son's suffering."
Ilena's expression relaxed as she felt at ease after hearing Damien's words. She said in a stirred tone, "Thank you, Senior Azrael, for your kindness. I believe this world doesn't have someone so skilled and benevolent like you."
Damien hummed, "I will now treat your son, and for that, I need to be alone not to get distracted. I don't want any disturbances nor interruptions, no matter what. Is that understood?"
Before Ilena could reply, Nouel chimed in, "Of course, anything as you say. Come, Ilena. Don't waste any more of our esteemed senior's time. Let's go out and wait. We can put our faith in Alchemist Azrael."
He then looked at Damien and continued, "Alchemist Azrael, in case, and I am not saying that you cannot, but just in case our son's situation seems too hopeless, please don't think too much about it. We will still only have gratitude for coming here with the intention of helping my son."
Damien nodded as he knew they were probably worried that he would treat Luke half-heartedly. They all hurriedly left the room, and Damien was left alone with Luke.
Damien put up the Heaven Ethereal Barrier the Rong Ancestor had given him, and he sat on the bed.
He looked at the pitiful figure of Luke, whose swollen lips and eyes were only visible among all the bandages on his face.
Luke looked at Damien with expectant eyes thinking whether this time he would get healed for sure.
However, his eyes had a confused look when Damien said in a sardonic tone, "Hello, Luke. Did you miss your daddy?"
