chapter-295
"The City Lord's son is back again for that woman. Will he get her this time?"
"The owner of this pub doesn't seem to be here. Maybe he will do something drastic because of that."
"I think the woman should be pretty lucky if she just accepted the young lord's proposal. Not many are lucky to gain the favor of such a genius. I heard he has broken through to the Spirit Ethereal Realm last week. Many top schools are trying to scout him."
"I know, right. And despite the status difference, he has been wooing her. She should just try to please him if she cares about her child."
This young lord people were talking about was none other than Roran Mu, the city lord's son.The Bluewind City was entirely under his father's jurisdiction, and it meant that his son was also like a king in this place.
He proudly walked in along with his two elders. But when he saw Damien and Triton, he crinkled his eyes because they were sitting on his favorite spot!
That table was where he usually sat to see a certain someone. The main reason why that table was empty before Damien and Triton came in was that everyone knew who usually sits there.
Roran could see that these two were not from this area as he had never seen such handsome and well-dressed men.
And since he could see Triton's face clearly, he bit his tongue in jealousy, seeing how impossibly handsome he was.
He was sure Triton would be the most handsome man he had ever come upon with a strangely attractive charm without even trying.
He could already see all the women in the ping stealing long glances at Triton, though, in reality, Damien was getting attention as well.Seeing that no one else was accompanying them or any bodyguards, he thought that these two must be some local young masters trying to act cool by dressing well.
With loud and lofty steps, he walked over towards them and stood still with a glare.
But to his surprise, Damien and Triton minded their own business without even paying him a single glance despite standing near them.
He gritted his teeth as he could feel the gazes from the people around him and felt insulted by Damien and Triton for treating him as air.
He gritted his teeth and banged the table, "Hey!"
The whole pub suddenly became silent since they knew someone just pissed off Roran.
Damien and Triton pulled their brows together and glared at Roran at the same time, making him stumble back by one step after feeling intimidated by their glare.
Some chuckles echoed in the silent pub making Roran's expression ugly since he knew that everyone saw him getting intimidated by these two.
He, however, thought of his high status again and wondered why he ever got intimidated by these two nobodies.
He stepped forward again and said in an arrogant tone, "You two get out unless you want your legs crippled. This is my seat!"
Triton didn't even care enough to give him another glance and just sat there with his eyes closed.
The maid with the baby also came in with two drinks at the same time and shuddered for a moment upon seeing Roran.
Roran got distracted by her beautiful face, and his eyes wandered all over her chest and curves despite her conservative clothing.
Roran smiled and said, "My Ana, you are just in time. I have been looking all over for you. Ah! You even brought two drinks for us both. How thoughtful. Now, come sit with me and let's have a drink."
Ana's expression became white with fear and shame, and she said with a forced smile, "Young master Roran, these two drinks are for those two gentlemen over there. And I am also busy with work. So forgive me for not being able to entertain you."
She went around and placed the drinks on Damien's table with shaky hands.
But before she could leave, Roran shouted with an angered expression, "Hey bitch! Where are you running off to? Bring her here!" He commanded one of his protectors.
"No! Please don't!" Ana bitterly protested, but how could she wriggle herself free from the hold of this bulky and tall servant? She was also surprised by Roran's sudden change of tone since he had never shouted at her before like this.
She was dragged by her arm towards Roran, who was looking at her with a lustful gaze.
He then looked at Damien and Triton again and said in an enraged tone, "You two idiots are still here?"
"Young master Roran, please don't cause trouble to them. They are my customers. Please sit somewhere else; otherwise, master Xurez won't forgive you!" Ana tried to scare off Roran by using the name of the owner of this pub since he was like a father to her and took care of her needs when she got abandoned.
Roran smirked, "Heh, I know he went to some other city for a business deal. He wouldn't be back for at least a day, and you think I am scared of him? My father respects him only because he likes the drinks Xurez makes. Otherwise, hehehe. Anyway, Ana, you are mine from now on."
Damien had enough and said, "Kid, you shouldn't try to play with fire. It will really hurt. Be a good boy and sit somewhere else."
Damien tried to act like a senior advising his junior since he wasn't really a fan of causing unnecessary trouble or wasting his energy for it and also kept Triton's warning in mind.
He was trying to have a drink in peace, and some idiot here was trying to disturb his mental peace.
If he was in the Xeton Empire, no one would dare to act so rudely with him since they all knew who he was.
The others in the pub let out low gasps while some shook their heads, wondering if Damien had a death wish.
They knew that the ones who tried to act brave and crossed Roran would end up dead the same day.
Roran's expression darkened, "Who are you calling a kid? Elders, put that woman inside my carriage and come back to cripple these two, especially this trash."
Roran already considered Damien and Triton as dead men, and he considered it beneath himself to make a move himself.
"Uwaaahhhhhh!!" The baby started crying when one of the protectors grabbed her back, and even some people in the pub felt bad about it but didn't dare to move a muscle.
They already had their hands full about worrying about their own wellbeing, and they knew words didn't matter but only strength and status.
"Please don't hurt my baby! I don't want to go!" Ana even started tearing up seeing her baby getting hurt by the man's grab.
"Ugh, throw that baby away! It has been annoying me for a while," Roran grumbled to his protectors in annoyance.
In fact, the reason he never took Ana for himself before was not that he was afraid of the pub's owner but because of his elder brother, who was the father of her child.
His elder brother left the city for his studies and abandoned Ana and her child after he did his deed. Roran had eyes on Ana for a long time, but his elder brother stole her first, so he could only grit his teeth and watch.
But now, even if she was no longer a virgin, he didn't mind toying with her and keeping her as a slave at least.
People weren't that surprised with his cruelty since they knew he could do even worse things, and they didn't seem interested in stopping him even if some of them looked down on his nature.
"Leave her alone, or I will take your head," A young man's calm voice sounded out, which was none other than Triton.
His eyes were still closed, and he still hadn't moved a muscle, but his words which sounded calm, carried a deep threatening force that made everyone break out in a cold sweat, especially Roran's protector that was grabbing Ana.
Roran involuntarily gulped, but then he cleared his throat and wrinkled his nose as he said in an irate tone, "Ana, so this guy is the reason you have been avoiding me? You got yourself a pretty boy to sleep with, and you think you can hide behind him? No wonder you have been serving drinks for him. Hahaha, now it makes sense."
"No! He has nothing to do with me. Don't drag him into this. He is just my customer. I will come, okay? Just don't create trouble, please," Ana didn't want others to get hurt because of her and then looked at Triton and said in an appreciative tone, "Thank you, sir, but please don't trouble yourself for my sake. Have a nice day," Ana forced out a smile, but one could sense the sadness and despair in her voice for the imminent fate that awaited her.
Damien was staying still to see how things were going to progress and was quite surprised that Triton spoke up. He was anyway planning to teach a thing or two to Roran but stopped himself when Triton interfered.
The baby was still crying, but Ana was coaxing it to not cry since she was afraid of Roran hurting it out of annoyance.
The protector harrumphed, and a sinister glint flashed in his eyes as he decided to follow Roran's order of throwing away the baby.
