"Young lord, the owner of this pub, is like a relative to me, so how can I just leave like that? It would be too much trouble, and he would be worried," Ana said to Triton in a concerned tone.

Triton sighed, "He would be even more worried if you were to stay here and something bad happens to you. Just leave a letter and tell him that everything would be alright. I am sure he would want the same thing."

Ana didn't say anything anymore and slowly nodded, feeling that Triton's words made sense.

Triton continued, "Also, don't call me young lord. You can just call me—"

"Tonton. You can call him Brother Tonton," Damien said with a smirk, making Triton give him a subtle glare.

Triton almost broke the glass in his hand before saying with a smile, "Yes, you can call me that, and you can call him Brother Pompon," Triton said as he pointed towards Damien, to which he could only wryly smile.

"Ah, okay," Ana felt a bit strange with their names, but after repeating their names in her mind for a while, she got used to it.

She wanted to ask where they were from but then didn't, thinking that she would come off as a rude person trying to pry into their life.

However, one thing she was sure of was that these two were indeed special characters after observing their demeanor and attitude.

She had been working as a maid for quite a while, so she knew that these two didn't have any fear of killing Roran and his protectors only because of the confidence in their abilities and not because of their arrogance.

And soon enough, just as they got out, they were surrounded by twenty-five armored steel guards who had hostile expressions.

Ana cowered behind Triton, feeling worried for the safety of her baby. She wanted to surrender to the soldiers and end things there. But Triton didn't allow her to move a single step ahead.

The streets were empty by now since the news of Roran's death had already passed around the town like wildfire. They knew it would only be a matter of time before the city lord's men would tear down this place.

Most of them returned back to their homes and didn't dare to step outside while the others even left the town.

Now the streets were completely empty except for these men.

One of the men looking in his fifties came forward who seemed to be the leader of these guards and had full body armor. He said in a loud tone as he pointed towards Damien and Triton, "Are you two named Tonton and Pompon?"

"Who's asking?" Damien casually said.

"Hmph, how ignorant! I am Elder Kan working directly under His Lordship, Klaus," His tone became dark as he continued, "Are you two the ones who killed his son and the two elders?"

Kan could see three dead bodies right behind the burned-down door. Because of that, those who were in the pub already escaped through another exit, not daring to walk over the dead bodies.

And only these three standing before him had the audacity to walk over Roran's dead body as if they were walking over a twig.

"And if we did?" Damien asked as he crossed his hands over his shoulders and rested his head against them.

Ana was feeling as if her heart would jump out any moment seeing how Damien didn't seem to be fazed even after seeing such an intimidating group of guards.

However, seeing Triton's back in front of her, she felt a strong sense of safety. Even though it wasn't as broad as grown-up men, she felt like an oceanic wall was shielding her.

Kan clenched his teeth upon confirming that these two were indeed the culprits that killed Roran and his protectors.

However, before rushing into anything, he asked with a dark expression, "And who are you two? Which family do you belong to?"

Kan wanted to know whether these two were some influential people whom the city lord can't afford to offend. And if that was the case, they could only hold in their indignation and anger to let them pass.

Even if the city lord lost his son, he would silently swallow his grievances if the other party had enough power to trample over his city.

However, Damien replied in a laid-back tone, "Oh, we are just vagrants trying to catch some good sights as we roam around the place."

"Vagrants?" Kan felt as if Damien was spouting nonsense since no vagrant would be this powerful at such a young age. Still, Damien's carefree attitude seemed to resemble that of a vagrant.

But seeing how neat their clothes were, Kan felt that these two were not simple, especially when he saw Triton, who seemed to have a calm expression despite seeing the guards.

And seeing how he was staying silent all this while, he instinctively felt a bad feeling, especially with how these two showed no fear at all.

He had no idea if they were trying to play tough to scare them off or not. Still, he had strict orders from the city lord to hunt these two down and show him their heads.

Otherwise, it would be him bearing the punishment for failing his orders. Thus, he clenched his fists and ordered, "Guards, capture these two and cripple them if they resist."

Kan decided to play it a little safe and let the city lord decide their fates after he captures them.

Damien put out his hand and said in a serious tone, "Take one more step, and you all would be forfeiting your lives. My friend here hates to cause trouble, so we would be happy to mind our own business unless you guys want to say otherwise."

Triton let out a low scoff as he knew that Damien stressed the word "trouble" to aim at him. After all, he was the one who told him to stay low-key. However, he still supported what Damien said since he also didn't want to cause needless troubles.

Kan snickered inwardly, thinking that Damien was talking big because he was scared. He looked at his guards, who had paused their moments, and shouted, "What the hell are you guys waiting for? Don't tell me the thirty of you are scared of two kids? Go, bind them at once!"

Few of the guards holstered their weapons and rushed towards Damien and Triton. Ana unconsciously gripped Triton's shirt but instead heard a reassuring voice, "Don't worry, nothing will happen to you and your child."

Triton immediately made a long slash in the air with his hand. The five guards who were rushing towards them got instantly decapitated.

"Don't make me kill all of you. If you push it, then I won't hold back," Triton's stern voice shook everyone's heart, and even Damien was a bit surprised that Triton could be this cold since he had never seen him in action before.

But considering that Triton had lived most of his life fighting for the cause of his people, Damien felt that it was natural and instead found the fact that he was kinder than he looked slightly uncommon.

After all, if it was him, he wouldn't be giving out second chances for enemies to think about their choices after they tried to attack him.

Ana gulped as she momentarily felt the powerful aura that came out from Triton. However, even though she felt how immensely powerful his aura was, it was not frightening but instead seemed gentle like the rain.

Even though she had witnessed blood before, she couldn't help but squeeze her eyes shut to not see the bloody scene.

Kan was terrified seeing how easily Triton severed the necks of five of his men in the blink of an eye. The guards were all elite ones in the Earth Ethereal Realm, and they were the best he could manage to gather within a short time to capture the culprits.

Even he doubted whether he could do the same thing within a single move and with such precision and speed.

But most of all, the aura he felt for a moment behind Triton's attack was the reason that terrified him the most since he couldn't read it at all!

And this meant that he was weaker than Triton!

How could this be possible?...Kan inwardly shouted, wondering how a youngster could possibly be stronger than him unless he was a prodigy from some illustrious family in the imperial city.

But the names Tonton and Pompon were unheard of, and even if they were using false names, he would have known about geniuses like these in his own empire.

Even the guards couldn't help but stand frozen on the spot seeing the five decapitated heads on the ground, with their blood dying the cold ground red.

"Still want to capture us?" Damien asked as if he couldn't care less whether they run away or still try to capture them.
