All these four were the best among the best in the entire empire's population of young practitioners.

They never had to give way to other youngsters or bow their heads. But now, one boy and a girl without any background were taking up a whole room to themselves.

Why would they leave just because two commoners with some money decided to take up a room?

If they left, it would mean that these four were admitting to being lesser than those two. Obviously, Reve, who was the proudest among them all, wouldn't allow it.

That was why he didn't say anything when Noel ordered the manager to drag those two out.

They don't care if the room was occupied before. If these four wanted a room, they would get a room no matter what.

Remembering the amount of Spirit Stones Damien had given him, the manager felt a bad feeling about dragging those two from their room.

Based on his gut feelings, he felt that those two were not as simple as they seemed.

So, he said in an advising tone, "Young master, I believe that those two might be from an upper ranked family though they don't seem like that. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to casually drop so many Spirit Stones to take this room."

Reve frowned and said, "Are you saying that those two idiots dressed in plain clothes to hide their identity? Why would someone from the upper-ranked family hide their identity to stay in a room? Such a cowardly attitude is not something people from those families do. They must be idiots who saved up a lot of Spirit Stones and decided to spend them all to have a lover's night. Manager, you better drag them out. You don't want to keep us waiting."

Noel added, "Manager, you have nothing to worry about. We will see to it that they are thrown out. Commoners like them don't even deserve to stay in such rooms even if they had the capital to buy one. Next time you should keep one such restriction to prevent such good-for-nothing people from buying one."

"Yes, don't waste our time anymore, manager. There can be unforeseen consequences," Reve said in a severe tone.

Some of the people sitting around could only sigh after seeing the difficult position the manager was put in, while others were smiling ear to ear since they wanted to watch something fun.

They eagerly waited for those two "commoners" to get dragged out and then thrown out of the inn.

"As expected of the Marlowe Brothers. The way they are supporting each other's words is truly amazing. It seems like they won't rest till they get their rooms."

"Well, maybe nothing much would happen if those two taking up the room leave quietly. If they are not fools, they will do exactly that."

"But if they aren't, then they would probably end up crippled. Hehe, I can't wait to see what happens."

"Uggh, you are really a sadist."

Whispers were passing around the inn as people's attention got glued to the front. The men could also enjoy the sight of the four beauties without fear of getting caught.

"Young master Reve, my feet are hurting. How long do we have to stand here like beggars?" A coy voice sounded from the beauty standing beside Reve.

Reve got even more riled up hearing her words. He again looked at the manager and said in a severe tone, "Are you or are you not going to kick them out?"

The manager was literally sweating all over. He knew if he offended these four youngsters, then his inn wouldn't survive in the future.

They could easily persuade his potential customers to go somewhere else since people usually tend to value the words of the powerful more than their apparent beliefs.

And if that happens, he would definitely end up getting ruined with nowhere to go.

He finally mustered up some courage and decided to take the side of the youngsters since that seemed safer logically.

He nodded and said, "Please calm down, young master. I will go right now and tell them to leave. Please have a seat till then. I don't want to keep you standing."

The eight youngsters harrumphed as they turned around and sat around the biggest table.

The manager knew that these youngsters weren't that fond of this inn to be so adamant about staying here. He knew they could easily go to some other inn and book rooms, but their ego wouldn't allow them to.

He could only helplessly sigh as he took the stairs.

Valentina was busy meditating. But a part of her senses was diverted to keep a check on her surroundings in order to stay vigilant.

The last thing she wanted was anything to happen to Damien because of her negligence.

Damien was lying on the bed right beside her, still in an unconscious state since his consciousness was still in Tristen's body.

*Knock knock*

Valentina's eyes fluttered as they opened, feeling a bit irked to see someone disturbing her cultivation time.

After using her spiritual perception, she was confused, wondering why the manager was here, knocking on her door.

According to her, no one, especially the manager, should disturb her and Damien since they had paid for the room in full.

With a wary look in her eyes, she opened the door slightly and asked flatly, "What is it?"

The manager was a bit surprised to sense the aloofness in her tone, which usually only came from those in power since they had the right to be nonchalant towards those less powerful than them.

It wasn't something that could be faked unless they were good actors.

"I apologize, young lady. But I have to ask you to vacate this room since four geniuses ranked in the Soaring Sky list demand this room. I hope you can understand this unfortunate situation," The manager bitterly said, hoping that the girl before him would understand and leave.

Valentina's eyes became cold, "What nonsense is this? We paid for this room, and according to rules, we have the right to stay here for at least a month according to the number of Spirit Stones we paid. Are you trying to cheat us?"

The manager felt a headache setting in and apologetically waved his hands, "Of course, not. I will refund every single Spirit Stone you have paid me. I can even give you some more Spirit Stones as compensation so that you two can stay in another inn. I can suggest a very good one with services comparable to ours."

The manager knew that he was in the wrong for asking her to vacate since this room was fully paid for by them. But such rules were pointless before people with influential backing and power.

So, he could only proceed with the requests of the youngsters waiting downstairs.

Valentina could see that the manager was forced to ask her to vacate. And if she resisted, then she would be forcibly kicked out by either the guards in the inn or the youngsters gathered downstairs.

But when did she ever bow down to others to give way to them, especially when she was in the right?

Damien had told her that she should never give way to others as long as she was in the right and the situation wasn't too dangerous for her.

Killing intent flashed for a moment in her eyes when she thought of tearing apart those so-called geniuses. However, she quickly calmed herself down and tried to think of the best possible plan to ease out of this situation without making things worse for Damien.

If she killed those geniuses, then she would have some peace temporarily.

But trouble would undoubtedly follow her and Damien. She would have to protect Damien from the huge backing of these people and get chased around since she wouldn't be able to even fight properly with an unconscious Damien on her back.

And the only way left would be to escape the Gale Empire, which would totally destroy Damien's purpose, thus making him fail his mission.

She couldn't allow that and be the cause of nuisance to Damien. So, even if she wanted to wake up Damien and ask him what to do, she felt like she should handle this herself instead of disturbing him.

She also knew Damien wouldn't wake up from her calls anyway since his consciousness was totally absent in his soul plane.

However, because of this, her anger and frustration towards the geniuses were only increasing with each second.

The manager felt chills in his blood when bloodlust emanated from Valentina for a brief moment. He wondered if he made a wrong decision by asking her to leave and unconsciously started to think of leaving.

Valentina did her best to keep her anger in check and said in a stiffened tone, "Where are these useless geniuses? Let me see if they can make us vacate this room."
