A pair of ruby red eyes were feverishly looking at the oblivious Yuria, who was sitting on the bed. Valentina slowly took out her katana and dashed forward as she made herself visible and placed the sword against Yuria's neck, "Don't move!"

"EH!" Yuria was shocked to suddenly see a girl appear before her out of thin air and place a sword against her neck.

She saw this exceptionally beautiful rosy-pink-haired girl looking at her with blood-red eyes that could make one lose their soul under their charms, making her wonder who she was.

Even she was charmed by her exotic looks for a few moments despite her shock.

However, Yuria quickly calmed her mind down and asked in a wary tone, "Who...are you?"

Yuria couldn't see how this girl even broke into her residence despite all the guards standing outside.

If it was some senior expert, she could still find it believable, but even then, it should have caused some commotion unless the said person had extreme stealth arts.

"I am Damien's fiance," Valentina said proudly as she flashed her ring to a baffled Yuria who totally forgot about the sword on her neck as she tried to process the fact that Damien already had a lover, a fiance, to be precise.

"So the rumors were true...you are Alchemist Azrael's personal disciple…" Yuria mumbled with a glazed expression.

"Hmph, that playboy," Yuria felt a burning sensation in her heart, realizing that Damien had a fiance. But it was only just a sensation and did nothing to put off the flames of love and passion she had for Damien.

In fact, because she had lived in this world for all these years, she was familiar with the concept of a harem and how powerful men tend to attract more than one woman.

She also knew that in their previous life, he had many women who followed him closely, and despite how they appeared as friends on the surface, she could even see through the television how much these girls cared about him.

So she pinched her lips and stood up as she proudly said with her hand on her bosom, "But you are not the only fiance. I am his fiance too. You can even ask him if you want."

Yuria didn't really mind Valentina being Damien's fiance since all she cared about was being with Damien and him loving her back.

Valentina's brows furrowed, seeing how this girl was not the least bit scared of the sword pressing against her neck and still proudly flaunting her relationship with Damien.

"But I don't accept it. You will stay away from him. He only needs me. He doesn't need another woman," Valentina said in a petulant tone.

Yuria now wasn't feeling worried at all as she asked playfully, "Oh? Girl, we have a long history between us which means I know him more than you do. Besides, he 'wants' me, and I want him. So there is no need to talk about his needs here. Anyways, I am not going to stay away from him. What are you going to do to me?"

Yuria could clearly sense jealousy oozing out from Valentina very intensely.

Valentina gritted her teeth seeing how Yuria wasn't even fazed, and said, "Then I will kill you."

Yuria remained unfazed and crossed her arms as she said, "Really? I don't believe you will do anything to make him sad, especially when you said you love him, don't you?"

Yuria gripped the blood-red katana on her neck and said with a friendly smile, "You know what. I want to be friends with you. Let's not fight each other for the same man but get along. Okay?"

Valentina was at a loss for words, but she then saw how her sword, which Yuria was holding on to, was slowly losing its form before it completely diffused into ethereal energy.

Just like that, her sword had turned into ethereal energy and disappeared, making Valentina dumbfounded by what she just saw.

Yuria held both of Valentina's hands, who was still surprised by how Yuria made her sword disappear. Yuria then came closer and hugged her, "See, friendship is a lot better than being enemies. Wow, you smell really good. Which perfume are you using?"

Valentina was stupefied by her sudden hug and thought that she would be creeped out because of a stranger hugging her. But strangely, she didn't feel any discomfort like she expected, and instead, Yuria's casual words made her feel a sense of warmth.

Still, Valentina pushed away Yuria and said coldly, "You can't just hug me like that. I don't like it."

"Oopsies, sorry. I thought you needed a friendly hug," Yuria said with a playful giggle, but she could see that the hostility Valentina had against her was lessening.

"How about we both fight each other? And if you lose, you will walk away," Valentina asked with knitted brows. She still couldn't let this girl wiggle her way into her and Damien's sweet time just like that.

"Ooh, then if you lose, would you walk away?" Yuria casually asked, feeling that Valentina was quite amusing despite how intimidating she could look.

Valentina felt tongue-tied because she obviously wasn't going to walk away even if she lost on the off chance.

"See, just like you, I am too much in love with him to leave him. I fought so hard for him to love me back, so the last thing I would do is leave him, no matter what," Yuria said in a determined tone that made Valentina feel threatened for a moment but then realized seeing her eyes that she truly cared about Damien and that her love for him was boundless.

Suddenly the two heard footsteps of someone approaching Yuria's room, making Valentina think about how she was going to get out of here.

"Quickly, hide in here," Yuria immediately pulled along the confused Valentina and pushed her into a large cupboard, "Don't make any sound, okay. Whoever it is, I will make them leave quickly."

Valentina slightly nodded without saying a word and decided to trust Yuria with handling this. She didn't know why but knowing that she was Damien's lover allowed her to place some level of trust and faith in her.

And only while she was hiding in the cupboard, she realized this, wondering why she was feeling so.
