Tristen smiled and said in a reassuring tone, "I don't think so. This doesn't really change anything, does it? After all, we still have to get your sister out of here. But before I do that..." Tristen looked at Ai and continued, "Why does Lord Shade need you?"

Ai had a hesitant expression hearing that question and looked at her little brother.

The little king sighed and said as he held Ai's hand, "It's alright. We can tell them. They are the only ones ready to help us now."

Ai softly nodded, and the little king looked at Tristen as he said in a pained tone, "He needs my sister's ethereal cores. He said that since she is anyway going to die, he wants it before she dies. That is why my sister has been holding herself hostage by threatening to puncture her own ethereal core if he comes near her. Otherwise, god knows what would have happened."

Damien was confused and asked, "Ethereal cores? What do you mean and what for?" He also wanted to ask the main thing, and that was what exactly her ailment was.

The little king explained, "My sister has a strange constitution because of which she has a pair of ethereal cores or a twin ethereal core which are sticking to each other and also destroying her vitality bit by bit since the moment she was born. However, the only beneficial thing it did for her is her abnormally high cultivation."

Damien pulled his brows together and immediately tried to discern her cultivation, only to be astonished to see that he couldn't see through her.

"No need to stress yourself. She is at the Peak Levels of the Heaven Ethereal Realm," Luna said casually though there was a hint of surprise in her tone.

"What?? How could this be?" Damien asked her, unable to make sense of how a girl, who was barely 15 years old, had such high cultivation that could rival senior experts like Shania and Blake.

"What an unfortunate girl. She was born with the very rare Twin Ethereal Core Constitution that usually appears in higher planes. This could also appear in someone in the lower planes though the chances are too low that they should be negligible since for this constitution to develop in a baby, the conditions have to be right. And those who are born with this constitution are destined to be world-shaking prodigies since their cultivation would rise so fast, it would put the normal prodigies to shame," Luna explained.

"And what are those conditions?" Damien curiously asked.

"Hmm, it could be a lot. But mainly, it depends on how she inherited her parent's ethereal essence and the way they joined together to form her ethereal core and also if she was exposed to rich amounts of ethereal aura while she was in her mother's womb. And that is what surprises me since the ethereal aura in this plane is too weak and dirty to develop such a constitution in her. You should probably ask them if their parents possessed any extraordinary treasure or something that possessed terrifying amounts of ethereal presence," Luna said in a thoughtful tone.

"Alright. But any idea why she is dying? If anything, this constitution should be a boon for her, right? She could have been the most powerful youngest genius in these times. I mean, she already is," Damien said with a hint of awe in his tone, still finding it hard to believe that a fragile-looking girl like her possessed cultivation near to the supreme cultivators in the world.

"As I said, it is unfortunate for her since she was born in a lower plane and didn't inherently possess a strong body to sustain such a special constitution. Usually, one should be born as a false god to cultivate this constitution, and even then, they need to take some measures as well just to not die an early death. As for people like this girl, they would be lucky enough to even last more than a decade. I would say she is quite lucky from that perspective to still be breathing."

"How long does she have?" Damien felt that even if has medical expertise, he wasn't knowledgeable about these special constitutions and so decided to ask Luna for advice since there could be no better physician than her.

In fact, it was only with Luna's help and knowledge, he was able to progress his medical expertise quickly in the cultivation world since ordinary medicinal knowledge can only help so much.

"Hmm, she should have a month at most. Not more than that," Luna said in a contemplative tone.

"What happens after that?"

"Her pair of ethereal cores would break down from within since her body can't sustain them and thus result in an implosion of her ethereal cores. It wouldn't be a pretty death for a pretty girl like her. So even if she had such high cultivation, it is quite useless since she would be hastening her tragic fate if she uses it," Luna said with a slight head shake as she looked at the girl from within her Shard of Essence.

Damien inwardly rolled his eyes, hearing her comment, wondering whether she was a bit sadist.

But now he realized why this girl didn't destroy the band of Forsaken that gathered here, especially Drake, since with her constitution, she could merely destroy him with a flick of her finger.

And he also now realized why Drake was scared of approaching this girl or forcing her to come with him since she could destroy him in a moment of despair and anger, and he wasn't willing to take the risk. Otherwise, if she was just an ordinary girl, Damien was sure Drake would have used his cultivation to suppress her movements so that she couldn't even commit suicide if she wanted to.

However, seeing how pitiful this girl looked and also considering the request the little king asked for, he decided to ask Luna, "Is there any way to save her?"

Damien thought that as long as it wouldn't hurt to save this girl's life, it would be fine.

"Hmm...why don't you ask your newfound fiance?" Luna said in a frisky tone.

"You mean Yuria? How can she help?" Damien asked in a puzzled tone.
