In Kale's tent,

Kale was happily lying on his bed while looking at his wife, putting on her usual make-up, "Wifey, you really didn't have to come to a place of battlefield like this and trouble yourself. I would have been fine on my own."

Although Kale said these words casually, he inwardly was happy that his wife came over here right before he was about to ask her to come because of what Tristen said.

Farah said in a sweet voice, "Husband, how could I sit alone at the palace while constantly worrying about your wellbeing, especially when there is a chance of you fighting these Forsaken rebels? Who knows the kind of backhanded methods they might use to hurt you."

Kale almost cried, seeing how worried his wife was about him, and couldn't help but feel lucky again to have such a wife. Even though he was feeling bitter about failing to woo Princess Yuria, he felt that as long as he had Farah, he would be satisfied.

But still, he couldn't help but wonder why Tristen said those words to him and asked Farah casually, "Wifey, how did you spend your days without me all these days?"

Farah fluttered her eyelashes and looked at him through the mirror as she asked with a sweet smile, "Hmm, it was so boring without you. I missed you every second, and I would have come earlier if it were not for the fact that I had to help my father manage some things in the empire. Still, what made you curious?"

Kale awkwardly laughed, "Aha, it's nothing. I am glad to hear my wife is so hard working, even if that means I don't get to see you all the time."

"Aw, dear, I am glad as well to see my husband doing his best to make the emperor and the empire proud," Farah said in a loving tone though she narrowed her eyes thinking about something.

Suddenly, Kale's messaging talisman shone, making him activate it to receive the message.

After a few moments, Kale put back the talisman as he got off the bed and dressed himself.

Farah noticed this and asked, "Oh, going somewhere?"

Kale said with a harrumph, "Hmph, it's that obnoxious brother of mine. He wants to see me."

"Then do you want me to come with you? I am sure I can see to it that things are peaceful between you two," Farah said in a convincing tone.

"Actually, Princess Yuria says she wants to talk to you, especially since she didn't get the chance to meet you after coming to the royal palace before," Kale said as he looked at Farah.

Farah was a bit surprised but still replied with a smile, "Then I should meet her and witness the beauty of the most beautiful moon in our empire myself. Let's see if the rumors would do her any justice."

Although Farah said in a casual manner, inwardly, she was always jealous about the title of the most beautiful moon of the Gale Empire. She couldn't believe how someone like her, who had taken so many efforts to increase her beauty, still couldn't match up to an 18-year-old princess.

Kale wanted to say that his wife was most beautiful to him, but suddenly Yuria's veiled beauty flashed in his mind, making him think otherwise because of which he felt that it was better to not say anything now since his words might come off as insincere.

So he walked out with a bitter feeling in his heart and saw Tristen standing before him with Yuria and his Will Protector by his side.

He also saw that Tristen's scholarly friend was standing beside him, making him wonder if Tristen trusted this guy very much.

He asked in a friendly tone, just to not look bad before the girls, "What do you want, Tristen?"

"How about we talk somewhere else in private? I have something important to tell you, and I am sure you wouldn't want to miss it," Tristen asked with a slight smile.

Kale knitted his brows, wondering what Tristen was up to this time though he inwardly was feeling curious about what Tristen wanted to say to him.

"Alright. Follow me. And uh...Princess Yuria, you can visit Farah inside. She is looking forward to meeting you," Kale said with a polite gesture.

Yuria still had her veil covering her face and said, "Thank you, Prince Kale." Saying so, she went inside the tent along with Valentina, which Kale didn't mind since he thought Tristen's Will Protector was acting as Yuria's protector as well.

Still, hearing the word of thanks through her melodious voice and her enchanting pearl-like eyes made Kale smile like a fool, thinking that he got blessed by a fairy today.

"How long are you going to keep dreaming?"

Tristen's snicker knocked Kale out of his daze as he pinched his lips and walked forward while Damien also followed them with a slight smile on his face.

"Luna, did you sense anything suspicious on him?" Damien mentally asked her.

"Yes, as you expected, there is a sound talisman attached to the belt of his robe. I suppose whoever is on the other end can hear everything he says. There is also another talisman..."

Luna revealed to him the talismans that were subtly hidden on Kale's robes.

Damien knitted his brows as he could guess who might have planted this inconspicuous talisman which was not even a few inches long on his belt, perfectly blending with the shade of his robes.

"Moonblade, can you remove the small talisman on his belt silently while I talk with him and destroy it afterward? As for the other talisman, let it be there," Damien asked Moonblade through his soul transmission.

Moonblade, his spirit dagger, had by now got accustomed to the human language after Yuria's and Damien's constant training over the past few weeks.

Moonblade had gotten quite comfortable with Damien and was able to follow all the basic commands he asked, like cutting fruits into perfect slices or performing simple movements.

Hearing his words, Moonblade shook itself in agreement, making Damien smile.

After entering another tent with an ethereal defensive formation, Kale asked with crossed arms, "Now, what do you want to tell me?"
