chapter-468
"What do you think I am here for? Its soul is in an even more precarious condition than mine. Who do you think is stronger? There is no way a mere weapon can overpower me. Now don't be a sissy and walk on," Luna ordered with an air of smugness.
Damien inwardly sighed and decided to trust this little goddess as always. Anyway, her words made sense, and he was also eager to inspect this sacred dagger, especially since it was coming from the Nether dimension.
However, just when we were 40 meters away from the crimson dagger, he suddenly felt his body was becoming heavier.
'Is my limit approaching this fast?' Damien inwardly thought, though he was still able to move, and he wasn't really feeling that sluggish.
Still, he remembered something and decided to ask the little king, "Your Majesty, you don't mind if we try and approach this sacred weapon?"The little king became a bit confused and said, "Um...nobody has ever been able to get near it, even the senior you saw above. And I would advise you all to not risk your lives by trying to get near it. Still, I would abide by my promise so I don't mind if you all try to get near it."
The little king truly didn't mind as he expected Godnim and the two girls to give up after reaching their limit.
Even his father tried to push his limits but failed in the end. So how could he expect these three to accomplish it?
Still, he decided to let them indulge in their curiosity as much as they wanted till they got tired of it.
Damien, Yuria, and Valentina pushed on despite the resistance they were slowly feeling, slowing down their movements.
By the time Damien was about thirty meters from the weapon, he was feeling a stifling sensation all over his body, and his body seemed like it weighed at least a ton, making it hard for him to even make a step forward.
But that was not the worst part, the intense killing intent that was stemming from the crimson dagger made Damien feel as if he might go mad. This killing intent was far superior to his and made him wonder how many souls this crimson dagger had annihilated to possess such soul-crushing killing intent. He had to immediately release his killing intent in a focused manner towards the crimson dagger to relieve some of the pressure he was feeling and also to prevent Valentina or Yuria from getting exposed to his killing intent.
He took a glance at the direction of his women, only to be surprised that they didn't seem to be experiencing any kind of killing intent from the crimson dagger. Then why was he the only one being targeted?
Valentina seemed to not feel any killing intent but was still under the terrifyingly heavy aura pressure of the crimson dagger and was finding it hard to move just like Damien since her cultivation was only at the fifth level of the Earth Ethereal Realm and even her superior physique could only push her so much.
Of course, if she was in her beast form, she could have pushed ahead even more, but obviously, this wasn't the time and place for her to transform.
Yuria still had more freedom to move since her cultivation was no joke but at the Fifth Level of the Sky Ethereal Realm. Around her age, only Reva could rival her, making her one of the most powerful geniuses from all four empires combined.
If her father learns about her current cultivation, he will go mad with joy and pride since not even the imperial family has someone to rival Yuria.
In fact, if Yuria's cultivation was revealed, she would get countless proposals from all four empires, even from the imperial families of these empires.
They wouldn't even care that Tristen had Yuria's favor since they weren't even engaged yet, and with the Krisen King making an ambiguous announcement, it only showed that Yuria had some problem with Tristen and her options were still open.
Yuria saw that both Damien and Valentina were facing difficulty in moving ahead while she was still able to move.
"Valentina, hold my hand," Yuria mentally said to Valentina, who immediately reached out her hand to hold Yuria's hand.
Yuria immediately started to let her ethereal energy pass through Valentina's body to amplify the strength of Valentina's ethereal core, increasing her cultivation by five levels within a minute.
The more Yuria was using her amplification ability, the faster she was able to exercise her ability.
However, she could only give Damien an apologetic glance since his ethereal core was too complicated for her ability to work, and she was afraid to cause some accidental damage to it.
She felt that it would take her some more time to gain full control over her ability before trying it on Damien.
Damien was tempted to let Yuria test her ability on him, but Luna's warning was holding him back since he knew Luna could never be wrong.
He didn't want to accidentally end up with a crippled core, especially when his own woman does it by accident. Both of them would end up getting hurt.
Damien smiled back at her, telling her it was fine and was curious to see how far his lovers could go. The killing intent he was feeling before disappeared on its own for some reason though he wasn't in a state to thinking too much about it.
Valentina, with her amplified cultivation of the First Level of the Sky Ethereal Realm, added with her superior physique, was able to push past Damien.
Damien decided to wait and see how much Valentina and Yuria would be able to push forward.
But after somehow covering 2 meters more, Yuria and Valentina realized that they had reached their limit till they felt as if their bones might crumble under the pressure though there was still twenty-eight meters between the dagger and them.
Even though lifting their feet to take one more step should usually be an effortless thing, at this moment, they felt as if these twenty-eight meters seemed farther than tens of thousands of kilometers.
However, the little king who was watching these three from outside the door was awed that they even covered more than twenty meters when he couldn't even cover an inch forward.
To him, it seemed like these three were earth-shaking geniuses who were pretty low-key. Otherwise, he was sure, considering their ages, they should have become quite popular.
Damien saw how Yuria and Valentina seemed frozen on their spots and how their expressions were grimacing because of the immense pressure they were feeling.
"Luna, is this it? I am unable to take one more step. I really feel like that weapon is made for me. Is giving up the only option? I feel like my ethereal core might get crushed if I pushed any forward," Damien was already profusely sweating from top to bottom, and his robes were completely drenched by this time, and he was even feeling a bit dizzy.
However, after a moment, Luna answered, "There is indeed one last way…"
