Ruthren was incensed when he saw Damien cross the city border without any obstruction. Just like that. No barrier or anything came up, and he immediately contacted his men on the ground with an enraged tone.

But to his confusion, nobody was responding on the ground and when he looked down, his eyes widened to see that all the guards guarding the border were dead!

He was absolutely sure Damien didn't personally kill them, even if that would be impossible with him right behind on his tail. But then, if Damien was still flying in front of him, who the hell killed his men?

Was he not alone? Was the Forsaken here? No…if the Forsaken were already here, they would have definitely made some noise. This had to be the work of a single person who was powerful and skilled enough to kill his men right under his nose.

However, Ruthren wasn't too worried since he had been gradually catching up to Damien, and right now, within a minute, Damien would surely be struggling in his hands like a strangled bird.

Meanwhile, just a few minutes ago, in the Great Hall, right after Damien had revealed himself and taken to the skies with Ruthren and others following him, the rest were slowly coming to terms with what just happened.

Olivia's expression winced in shame and anger as she quickly got up and used the confusion to slip out of the middle of the hall.

She felt like carving Lily's face since an empress like her was forced to lose all her face and made to look like a clown by her lover. And since she couldn't do anything to Damien personally, all she could do was vent her anger on Lily even if Lily was taken away, which only added to her frustrations.

She didn't even have the courage to look at her own people or even her own royal guards since they not only saw how pathetic she was but also the fact that she exposed herself to some disturbing truths.

She basically admitted to being an unloyal subject of the empire even before she became an empress and also a subtle hint that she betrayed not only Lily but even the late emperor of the Rong Empire.

Even if she might not lose her throne immediately, she would surely be called into question by her own people, and it would only be a matter of time before they corner her from all sides.

And so, without even calling for her security detail, she slipped into an empty hall to leave this godforsaken place without anybody knowing. She now had some kind of trauma about this place, especially since she knelt here in front of everyone.

"Where are you going, sweet butt? Your Master has been waiting for you," Tristen's voice made Olivia gasp, and before she could even turn around, a hand squeezed her ass before making her body press up against the wall.

"Let me go, you bastard!" Olivia said with gritted teeth since she knew that Tristen was half the reason she even got into this mess. She also couldn't make sense why a prince like Tristen, who cares very much about his own skin, would risk his life by helping a terrorist.

And since the Gale Emperor was also targeted by Damien, she threw out the possibility of the Gale Empire helping Damien, which made her wonder if Tristen was acting on his own without his father's knowledge. But even if that was the case, why would he do that for no reason or benefit? It just didn't make sense.

"Tsk, tsk, is that how you talk to your Master? Now you will listen to me unless you want to lose your throne and be left on the streets. You got that, sweet butt?" Tristen asked with a smirk as he whispered behind her ear, making Olivia feel a tingling sensation over her butt, especially because of the stupid nickname he had given her.

But considering her situation, she could only nod while hoping that this pervert wouldn't bargain unreasonably since there was no one else she could turn to, not even Ruthren, who might instead get angry at her for not keeping a proper eye on Lily.

Meanwhile, in the Great Hall, the Gale Emperor's eyes were bloodshot since he realized that he got played and humiliated like a dog by a junior who only has his name to himself without any background.

He literally felt his face burning and crawling with shame, and even ignoring this fact, there was the other fact where he accidentally killed those young geniuses due to Damien pissing him off.

Of course, he couldn't be bothered by the deaths of some weak juniors who were too slow and foolish to not move away, but that didn't mean he could forget about the angry noble families who were already looking at him with strange gazes.

Still, he wasn't in the mood to deal with them now and immediately gathered his senses as he was about to leave to hunt Damien down and skin him personally.

But right before he could leave, the Krisen King and his detail of experts suddenly stood before him with serious expressions.

"Your Majesty, it is best you let us handle this. We feel that you are not in a good state to give chase to Damien, especially since he is carrying two important hostages, including my own daughter," The Krisen King said in a calm and serious tone, though everyone was able to hear what he had to say.

The Gale Emperor frowned as he said with a dark expression, "King Krisen, you move out of my way. I will take down that boy myself. Besides, you don't have any right to stop me."

The Gale Emperor's tone was increasingly becoming cutting, and his hands were folded into fists as if he was prepared to forcibly make his way out if that was what it takes.

The Krisen King cleared his throat as certain other nobles and experts also stood behind him, "Your Majesty, you really are not in your best state, and considering what just happened in the Great Hall, I don't want anything bad happening to either my daughter or the Celestial Princess nor do I want Your Majesty to suffer any more mishaps. I hope Your Majesty doesn't take offense but consider this a request from a concerned subject and also a father."
