Second World
chapter-1375

The freed angel came to Master's side, she cast High Heal on Master before adding a prismatic shield on him.

Master glanced in Aglea's direction. He had known about Aglea's condition from Jack's story. He rose and started barking orders.

"You, keep that mad woman busy!" Master commanded Talia. To Jack, he said, "You, hold that dead woman down. Keep her in place, do not damage her!"

"Motherf*cker, can you at least be courteous when asking for something?" Jack said with annoyance, but he still did as Master asked. He was already fighting Aglea, anyway. He cast Acceleration on himself, Therras, Master, Talia, and the high demon.

His Therras' ultimate beast condition had already ended, but Jack still had other skills to empower it. He used Gigantify Pet. Therras' frame doubled in size. With increased endurance, it should be able to better withstand Aglea's attacks.

Jack cast Myriad Venomous Vipers while Therras used Imperious Pressure to try to keep Aglea in place.

Meanwhile, Talia confronted Euphosine. Not because of Master's command, but because that was her intention from the start. She didn't wish to fight Aglea. She knew Aglea's body was under Euphosine's control. If Euphosine could be defeated, Aglea would also stop.

Euphosine cast a spell that conjured uncountable revolving ice blades. Talia cast a spell that formed a huge fiery net. The fiery net tried to trap all the ice blades while melting them. It lasted a while but eventually, the fiery net broke. A few still-intact ice blades flew toward Talia.

Assisted by Jack's acceleration, Talia was able to cast the next spell before the ice blades arrived. She cast Fire Wall. This flaming wall blocked those remaining ice blades.

While Talia cast her defensive spell, Euphosine had readied another offense. The air around Talia was frozen. A cube of ice was formed and imprisoned Talia within.

Master had commanded its high demon to engage Euphosine as well. He knew Talia was not Euphosine's equal. However, his high demon was completely powerless even with Jack's acceleration. Euphosine didn't even spare the demon any attention. It was the ice chains around her that automatically attack the high demon when it came near.

The high demon was stabbed multiple times and was unable to retaliate. Parts of its body were covered by freezing ice. It was only able to survive due to the healing provided by the angel.

While everyone was fighting, Master cast a spell. He was aiming at Aglea.

"Why are you aiming your spell here? We are fine here. You help Talia deal with Euphosine!" Jack shouted after seeing Master's aim.

Master didn't bother to reply to Jack.

"His Necromancer Lord may have also reached level 70…," Peniel said.

"So what if his necromancer lord is level 70?" Jack asked.

"That means you no longer need to fight Aglea. Get ready to pull Therras away."

"Huh?" Jack didn't understand Peniel's words.

Jack's acceleration also helped Master increase his already fast casting speed. The spell Master was casting was completed after forming eight runes.

Jack was impressed by the number of runes from the spell. Jack turned to Aglea to see what the spell did. A soft light enveloped Aglea. She suddenly dropped her head and stopped moving.

"Stop Therras!" Peniel instructed.

Jack complied. Therras stepped back from Aglea but remained vigilant.

Aglea just stood there, unmoving. Jack's fifteen vipers were already gone when Aglea cast Dispel to forcefully end the spell.

Aglea's head suddenly rose. Spell formation was formed rapidly. A ray of light was then shot from the completed spell.

Jack was taken aback by the sudden move. He almost attacked but Peniel stopped him before he acted.

The ray of light from Aglea shot past Jack and Therras. It traveled at high speed. It made several turns in the air. These turns made it difficult to gauge what this ray of light was targeting. The ray finally made one last turn and headed to its target, which turned out to be Euphosine.

Euphosine had just killed Master's high demon. In her hand was a giant ice bow which she conjured using her spell. She was ready to fire the arrow from this ice bow when Aglea's ray of light came barging.

She was also taken aback by this sudden attack. She used the ice bow in her hand to defend against the ray of light. The ice bow was shattered and she was forced back with a damage number.

"What…?" Jack saw Aglea fly toward Euphosine. Aglea shot continuous ranged attacks at Euphosine.

"What Master cast just now was Necromancer Lord's level 70 spell, Control the Dead," Peniel explained. "The spell takes control of a dead native who still has an intact body or a monster that dies not longer than one hour. Aglea is a puppet made from a dead native, so it is a viable target for this spell."

Peniel later explained to Jack in more detail about the spell. The spell was like dispel, the runes for its spell formation were not fixed. It could be cast with fewer runes. The minimum was five while the maximum was eight runes. The higher the runes, the higher the spell's success chance in controlling a higher-level dead native or monster.

The intelligence stat also helped the success chance. Master was able to control Aglea who was more than ten levels higher than him because he used eight runes for casting and had an extremely high intelligence stat.

The giant ice cube that imprisoned Talia was melting. Fire burst out from the edges of the cube before it was completely destroyed. From inside the destroyed cube, Talia's body was seen cloaked in flames. These flames formed two pairs of wings on her back.

When Talia came out of her imprisonment, Aglea's body also shone. Three pairs of large scythe-like appendages made of light sprout from her back. Her whole body was glowing.

The three sisters faced each other.

They were once the dearest companions to each other within this faction. Today, they would be undergoing a battle to the death.
