A Broken House To Keep/Hide A Mistress (破屋藏娇)

Qiao Hong Ye didn’t keep the idea solely as a thought. She grit her teeth and continued pouring drinks for the two men non-stop, and soon after, the forms of Qiao Wei Min and the one Surnamed Qian were both drunk to the point of unconsciousness.

Immediately after, she searched through the bodies of the two adults and unexpectedly managed to find a few thousand dollars. Taking the money, she ran out of the house unhesitatingly and directly headed towards the County Town.

Coincident or not, just as Qiao Hong Ye left, Jiang Xia’s parents showed up in front of the Qiao Home.

When Qiao Hong Ye left, she didn’t close the door, so the couple just walked in. The sight they were met with was the forms of two adult men lying drunk on a table. The arguments they had prepared all day long were now stuck in their throats, leaving them speechless.

Facing such a scene, their impression that this was a family of scoundrels deepened. Not wanting to stir up any unnecessary trouble, they turned to return to the County Town.

Qiao Hong Ye was precisely Jiang Xia’s white moonlight; when he received her call for help, Jiang Xia decided to help her without the need of thinking twice.

Wearing his disfigured face, he rented a place near the Jiang Home. Its environment wasn’t that good; it was quite isolated, and difficult to find. On the bright side, it was a single unit, and it’s even a private house, so there was no need for any identification. There wasn’t even a need to sign a contract, one just needed to pay no more than 200 dollars a month for rent.

Jiang Xia, who was originally taken home to recuperate, was feeling somewhat sad, but the moment Qiao Hong Ye showed up, he immediately recovered his proud demeanour.

Although the house wasn’t that good, and it couldn’t be considered keeping a mistress in a magnificent house, there was still a kind of feeling where Qiao Hong Ye belonged to him alone. This made him feel full of mettle.

He even wanted to tell Qiao Hong Ye that when he was writing the love letters, the person that was in his mind was her alone. It was a pity that they were burned, otherwise, he really wanted to show it to her.

Qiao Hong Ye’s departure directly dug a pit for Qiao Wei Min.

If it was just the matter of the man surnamed Qian not receiving the gal he liked, then it could just be brushed off, however, his wallet was also swept clean and thus chaos ensued.

For the sake of his investment, Qiao Wei Min naturally coaxed him as he would to his ancestors. Not only did he return the money to him from his own pocket, but he also repeatedly reassured him that he would definitely send Qiao Hong Ye to him later. Only then did the man let the matter rest.

However, Qiao Hong Ye never turned up.

It was impossible for Qiao Wei Min to not panic. After some consideration, he decided to file for a missing person report with the police.

Someone going missing could be considered a big matter. All of those who knew Qiao Hong Ye in the county contributed to the evidence, so it was just a matter of time before they all found out that she headed to the County Town. As for her specific location, they would have to sift through the place on their own.

Jing Yun Zhao and Qiao Hong Ye’s relationship was quite deep, so it was natural for the police to look for her as well.

Ever since she was reborn, Jing Yun Zhao had already met the police several times that she couldn’t help but find it funny. However, the faces of these policemen were still better than those of her prison wardens.

“Someone reported to have personally seen you meet Qiao Hong Ye, but she disappeared after that. Jing Yun Zhao, we hope for you to cooperate with our investigation. As long as you tell the truth and didn’t commit any crimes, we won’t make things difficult for you,” the police officer spoke seriously.

Jing Yun Zhao was already in the state where she wanted to cry but had no tears; this was practically a sudden and unexpected disaster.

However, as she thought about it, Jing Yun Zhao decided to ask, “Who said so? Jiang Xia or Qiao Zi Zhou1 ?”

Jiang Xia and her were no longer classmates. He returned to school after resting at home for a few days, but he didn’t look like someone who had just faced a setback.

As for Qiao Zi Zhou, Jing Yun Zhao hasn’t seen much of her ex-brother. He was different from Qiao Hong Ye and had the mindset of male chauvinism; he didn’t take the matters of women to heart at all.

Despite her quarrels with Qiao Hong Ye, Qiao Zi Zhou would always give her a look of disdain. In the past, apart from his frigid irony and scorching satire, or forcing her to do some chores, he wouldn’t actually do anything underhanded. Jing Yun Zhao was clear that it wasn’t because he didn’t want to, but because he couldn’t bring himself to stoop so low.
