Chapter 1394: Skywing Bloodline! Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales

A single word was carved on the wall of the room.

Skywing!

But for some unknown reason, there was a huge cross over the word, almost as if the person who carved the words harbored a deep hatred toward the Skywings.

Xia Fan could not settle his restless heart. He entered the room, and saw that there were even more curses and rebukes directed toward the Skywings.

“Arcursed Skywings! I will kill you all one day!”

“Shame! To have been killed to the point we abandoned our armor by the Skywing Clan. We will remember those maniacs for the rest of our lives!”

“We must recover our lost honor, no matter the cost!”

“Revenge! We don’t care even if it takes ten thousand years!”

It seemed the Skywings had committed some unforgivable offense against the two great factions of the Ashen Moon Universe, the Ashen Dragon and Hidden Moon. It was so great that these people had carved the litanies of hatred they felt toward the Skywings and filled entire walls with them.

Room after room was filled with such carvings, or proclamations of taking revenge against the Skywings were written with thick water-based ink, either red or black in color.

In one of the rooms, Xia Fan saw a mural of a group of crazy speedsters leading Draconids and the fearsome Fiends, as well as a strange race with huge heads and arms like octopi. Time and again, they attacked, brutally abusing the two strongest factions of the Ashen Moon Universe.

Shock! Absolute shock!

The Skywing warriors were not men, but like rays of light that could fly across the galaxies and nine heavens!

Charging at speeds beyond light, blasting planets and ruining warships. Countless Ashen Dragon and Hidden Moon warriors found themselves heartlessly slain where they stood!

Xia Fan noticed a figure, a slightly skinny warrior with a sharp gaze, who was none other than the one leading the Skywing Clan as they shuttled through the Cosmic Gate and into the Ashen Moon Universe.

He had a gentle temperament about him, similar to Xia Fan. There was a slight curl at the corner of his lip, but the moment the battle began, he transformed into the most frightening fiend. Anyone who dared resist, killed! Anyone hypocritical or deceitful, killed! Anyone he did not see eye to eye with, killed!

This was what it meant to leave bodies in his wake, letting blood flow freely like a river!

They had vanquished the strongest forces of the Ashen Moon universe!

Even more inexplicable was that no matter if they were the draconids, the Fiends, or that alien race, they were all friends of the man in charge of the Skywings! He had gathered the strongest and most peculiar strengths from around the Universe! He was backed not only by the Skywing Clan, but there were countless dragons at his beck and call!

Heavens, just how did that person do it!? With the body of a human, how did he rule the world?!

Xia Fan felt so excited that it felt like his heart was about to leap out from his throat!

Though Xia Fan had no idea just who that unreasonable man was, he could actually feel an incredibly strong resonance with him!

A speedster, smiling, showing an incredible affinity to all things, animals, plants and even aliens! That crazed momentum when he was fighting! Were those not his characteristics, too!?

It was almost as if there was this unexplainable bond between the two of them, binding the two people who had never met. Staring at the face of this stranger, Xia Fan felt that he looked very familiar, almost as if he had seen him somewhere before.

He could not help but search through the spatial ring on his finger, and found that cashmere blanket inside. This blanket was the only item that could prove Xia Fan’s identity: ‘Skywing Clan, Demon-sealing Fiendish Blade’ had been stitched onto the blanket!

Xia Fan really wanted to yell out in his excitement, “I AM A MEMBER OF THE SKYWING CLAN TOO! Where are all of you right now?!”

Cheyenne could see the change in Xia Fan’s expression too, but she assumed Xia Fan was just flabbergasted upon finding out that there was an existence even greater than the Ashen Dragon and Hidden Moon.

It seemed this was a trial ground that the Ashen Dragon and Hidden Moon had not finished constructing, and while it was ongoing, the Skywings had appeared and stomped all over them, utterly destroying their deployment.

The project was forcibly suspended. When the two factions collapsed, those who had been constructing the trial ground must have felt abnormally indignant and sad back then, so they ended up vandalizing the incomplete rooms, one by one.

It had been forty thousand years since the Skywings had broken through the Chaos Gate and entered the Ashen Moon Universe.

It was like Xia Fan was suddenly overcome by madness, inspecting each room, one after another. As more and more of the vandalism entered into Xia Fan’s eyes, the full story behind the situation became clearer and clearer.

According to the graffiti, the Skywings were completely uninterested in the resources of wealth of the Ashen Moon Universe. Their goal was to locate a child called Xia Fan.

Upon arrival, they directly sought out the most powerful entities in the universe, Ashen Dragon and Hidden Moon, and proceeded to utterly destroy them! They forced the two factions to use their forces to search the entire universe for a child called Xia Fan.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard they tried, they never found any trace of Xia Fan. The Skywings departed in disappointment, leaving behind a legend to the Ashen Moon Universe, as well as an item called the Skywing Token. The Skywing Token could only be activated by the person known as Xia Fan, and the moment it was activated, no matter where they were, the Skywings would return to the Ashen Moon Universe.

Forty thousand years ago?

Searching for someone that shared the same name as him?

Xia Fan felt this matter was simply inconceivable. This Xia Fan could not be referring to him, could it?

But the times did not match up at all. He was only sixteen, so why would the Skywings have been searching for him over forty thousand years ago?

His mind was racing as he thought of something his blind grandpa once told him; the problem could very well be the Chaos Gate, as it was said that it was an amalgamation of space and time. The moment someone passed through it, there was no telling just when or where they would end up appearing on the other end!

The Chaos Gate was frightening not just because of the spatial traversal, but because even time would be distorted as well. Perhaps someone passing through would find themselves going back to the past, or perhaps they might appear in the future!

The Skywing Clan had braved the Chaos Gate just to search for one person; the difficulty of the matter was simply mind-boggling. They must have traveled repeatedly through space and time, arriving at foreign universes time and time again.

This never giving up and never abandoning their own attitude made Xia Fan’s blood boil! The longing for family affection over the years surged out from Xia Fan’s heart uncontrollably!

He felt an utmost pride. This was the first time he had felt proud of his identity as a Skywing!

Xia Fan flexed his arms as he thought to himself, ‘Though I’m still just a small fry now, I want to be like my kinsmen too, living proudly and bravely!’

If it could be said that Xia Fandid had a unique power hidden in his Skywing bloodline that would affect Xia Fan’s decision making from time to time, then today was the day when the blood of Demon-sealing Fiendish Blade flowing inside his body was completely activated!

Never abandoning and never giving up! Slights must be avenged, fighting to the end and never retreating! The personality of the clan had been deeply carved into the genes of the Skywing descendants, and that was something that would never change!

As for that Skywing Token that would allow Xia Fan to return to the Skywing Clan, the writings on the wall did not give any description of how it looked, much less where to find it.

Xia Fan could not help but feel a little disappointed.

“This pain is killing me,” a strange voice complained in his vexation. “That damned twerp nearly ruined our plan!”

Had Xia Fan not left that pond, he would have witnessed an unforgettable scene unfolding.

From inside the corpse of the fat elder, a skinny and completely black man was crawling out!

Tearing open the fat-filled belly, the fellow came crawling out all bloodied. No one could have imagined that there would be another individual hiding inside that fat elder’s body!

This individual was skinny and as withered as a child’s skeleton, his eyes abnormally large. There were only sparse strands of hair on his head, and his mouth was wide, like a slit that went from earlobe to earlobe. There were thin, small, and jagged teeth lining his mouth, and his hands and feet were bigger than his limbs, looking absolutely disproportionate.

This was the freak who had been hiding inside the fat, pale elder!.

“Are you alright?” the Bloodfather Deacon asked, sitting down beside him.

The dark-skinned freak jumped into the pond to wash off the blood and other gore that was clinging to him.

Returning to the shore, he let out a cold harrumph, cleaning himself off with a towel as he grit his teeth. “So close! Fortunately, I had the unique concealment technique of our Small Night Race, otherwise this would have been a major slip-up!”

The Deacon nodded. The Small Night Race was one of the most unique minority races in the Ashen Moon Universe. People of their species possessed extremely great mental power, but their bodies were exceptionally weak.

The most powerful warriors of the Small Night race were barely over 1.3m tall, weighing just shy of 50kg. Such an individual would be recognized as a burly man among them!

Because of their ugly and scrawny appearance, people of the Little Night Race were severely discriminated against, with people calling them hairless black monkeys. Among the three major coalitions and unions, they even went so far as to prevent them from naturalizing, and their citizenships were revoked!

The reason why the dead fat elder was so pale was not because he was of higher upbringing, but that there was an extra large parasite living off of him inside him!

“Achoo!” The Little Night warrior appeared to have caught a cold, sneezing badly. He wrapped a blanket tightly around himself as he kept shivering.

His eyes turned toward the so-called end point and he said in a grim voice, “Don’t panic. Let me rest up first, then I’ll lead you to those two accursed investigators. After all, the physical bodies of us Little Night people are far too weak.

“Do what you can to keep that woman’s body intact. I need a new body right now, and that Cheyenne woman’s internal organs are thicker than the one called Xia Fan, and I like extra fat.”

Deacon nodded nonchalantly, “No problem. But I don’t need your help, I know where they are.”

The Little Night warrior was slightly surprised, turning his head to look at Deacon quizzically.

Deacon explained, “Do you remember after the first time I transformed, I patted Xia Fan on his shoulder? At that moment I applied some essential oil that is created when refining demonic puppets. The oil is colorless and odorless, but it is able to transmit a signal to my girls.”

With that said, Deacon pointed to the unmoving and fearsome dolls next to him.

The Little Night warrior laughed out loud, “You sure live up to your name as the Bloodfather! Well, what else are you waiting for? Send your girls to kill Xia Fan, then! As for Cheyenne, be sure to leave her for me. I want to crawl into that woman’s body.”

Deacon nodded and pointed into the distance with his right hand.

Just like that, the two demonic puppets went charging into the darkness in blurs of motion.
