chapter-1436
1436 I have some questions I need answers for.
"N-Nux Leander..."
The Host stuttered, still in shock and unable to believe what he saw just witnessed. Nux momentarily glanced at him, then, he just chuckled and flew towards Aeliana.
Seeing the man leaving, the Host panicked, he quickly rushed towards him, appearing right in front of him as he blocked his path, "N-Nux Leander!"
He shouted."W-What would you like to say to today's audience who saw your battle?" He questioned in a hurry, he seemed worried that Nux wouldn't answer his questions or ignore him. After all, even he knew that his attitude towards Nux could definitely have been better.
Contrary to his expectations, however, Nux smiled at him for a moment, then, he replied,
"What is there to say? I guess they all owe me a thanks for not wasting another day of their life.
I said it from the very beginning, didn't I?
My opponents were too weak if they were indeed the best the Low Order could gather in a whole year, I find it quite worrisome."
Nux spoke, making the people from Low Order grit their teeth in frustration.
This bastard was still as arrogant as before! Even if he had won, not many liked him because of his remarks. And as if he knew that, Nux continued,
"I am sure not many present here like what I say, to be completely honest with you, I could go around saying how they worked hard and how they had marvellous teamwork and whatnot. I can say how victory and defeat are a part of life and a lot more.
I can easily be the good guy you want me to and fool everyone.
I can become people's favourite and honestly, I know it would benefit me in the long run because eventually, you people would come to accept me and even idealize me, the resistance you currently show me disappear and I would have an easier time being my Master's disciple and enjoy all the perks that comes with it.
However...
At the end of the day, the fact is that I am still an outsider.
I am someone who came out of nowhere and became the sole disciple of a woman you are prepared to die for. I got the opportunity none of you ever did.
It is only natural that you hate me, no, actually, I would doubt your pride if you didn't hate me, an outsider took what none of you could. If you had accepted that, I would have been disappointed.
So continue to resist.
Continue to prepare, use whatever means you want to cultivate strong warriors, warriors who could face me and snatch my position.
Don't give up, push past your limits, strengthen yourself.
And I will continue to be the public enemy who constantly looks down on you till you finally defeat me."
Nux's impactful words echoed throughout the arena, reverberating into every being's ears. Different emotions welled up in their hearts.
Nux, however, wasn't done yet.
He still hadn't played his role as a villain completely,
Therefore, with a disdainful look on his face, he stared at his 'opponents' who were currently being taken into the Medic Room and then, he appeared next to one of the unconscious Emperors, grabbed him through his hair and lifted him into the air, ignoring the medics who were trying to block him.
"Of course, if this is the level of cultivators you plan on bringing every year,
You might as well quit and accept your incompetence."
Saying those words, he threw the Emperor onto the ground, stepped on his head, then, using the head as a stepping stone, he jumped into the air, flying towards Aeliana.
The Host tried to stop him and ask more questions, but Nux ignored him and appeared in front of Aeliana's VIP Box.
Aeliana stared at the boy flying in front of her for a while, then, she waved her hand and the glass moved, allowing Nux to enter.
"Master."
Nux greeted with a smile.
Aeliana didn't instantly answer. This time, she didn't even have the playful smile she usually had on her face while talking to Nux.
"What did you do?" She questioned directly.
"Hmm? What do you mean? I said I would make things more interesting for you and that is what I did.
Though that's a different matter that I wasn't able to succeed, it is not my fault though, they were simply too weak. Still, it was better than fighting the winner amongst them in a one-on-one battle, no?
At least this time, some fools still believed that I ever had the disadvantage in the battle, the one on one would have been too obvious."
Nux replied, however,
"That is not what I am asking and you know it. Why did you do what you did?"
Aeliana wasn't amused.
"Are you talking about what I did to that Emperor at the end?
Aren't I just following your will?"
"What do you mean?" Aeliana narrowed her eyes.
"You wanted to use me as a catalyst to strengthen your people through raising their fighting spirit, no? I simply gave them a stronger reason that would motivate them even further.
You know, like in those fairy tales, where the people develop faster when there is an enemy to defeat."
Hearing that answer, Aeliana stared at Nux for a while and didn't say anything.
Nux on the other hand, just chuckled and continued,
"Honestly, my actions would definitely show you the results you wanted to see way faster than you initially expected.
So, my dear master, don't you think I should be rewarded for working so hard?"
Aeliana continued to stare at Nux as she maintained her silence, Nux let her collect her thoughts. He already had a rough guess in his mind, it was something he was waiting for. Rather, all this showing off he did, it was all because of this moment.
"Nux Leander."
Suddenly, Aeliana called out.
"Master...?" Nux tilted his head with a frown, but suddenly, the Vampire sitting in front of him disappeared and he heard a voice in his ears before everything darkened, "You are coming with me,
I have some questions I need answers for."
